Our Hipcamp opened September 2024 and only 200m away is a cafe at our Garden Centre for a great coffee 6 days a week! You will need to be self-sufficient however we do have toilets available between 7am and 5pm in the adjoining Garden Centre carpark. Also available is a large cold water washing machine (gold coin donation).
We are located on Tully Mission Beach Road with the bike path between Wongaling Beach and Mission Beach running right past the front gates, so a quick ride into town and plenty of space to bring your boat!
We your hosts, (Nancy and Shane) operate the adjoining Garden Centre and Raw Materials yard so there is always something happening and with vast local knowledge of what to do and where to go, we are only happy to help.
Opened in September 2024 we have planted a tropical fruit forest plantation as well as citrus orchard and with our 50 beautiful free-range chooks (pets) you will have them wandering around freely, clucking away happily.

Flaggy Creek Caravan Camp is set on a 260 acre rural property set aside for wildlife offering a peaceful and relaxing place to escape the daily grind. Please read this description to the end to make sure our campsites are right for you (click show more).
Our Hipcamp, (owners on site), is small scale to minimise environmental impact; we have six sites spaced well apart for privacy; each site catering up to two adult guests only (18+) and one vehicle. * Camp 5 permits 1 dog see Rules when booking; All other campsites strictly No Pets * Solo travelers are encouraged to book, many who have commented not feeling overwhelmed by large groups or too isolated.
If you are booking for others please let them know they will need to set up at their booked site. Please do not invite additional guests to enter the property.
You will need to be fully self-contained: own toilet, drinking water, shower.
Our Hipcamp is situated in a cool climate, away from the humidity of the coast. A highlight is beautiful permanent Flaggy Creek which meanders its way through the property for approximately 1 km and is habitat to platypus, turtles and an abundance of bird life (we are close to an ebird hotspot) with towering blue and rose gums. Take a dip on a hot day in one of several water holes including a large lagoon adjacent a mini waterfall surrounded by beautiful she-oaks. There are walks on mowed tracks around the property (look for large eastern grey kangaroos in the top paddock) including along a dam wall where you might spot herons or rainbow bee eaters (seasonally) and we can give you directions to a fire-trail to hike up to the Bluff. Herberton (10 mins) also has many excellent walking trails.
All camp sites have their own fire pit (local conditions and/or state fire ban season permitting). We sell large crates of split firewood for $20 or you can collect your own. Please do not bring firewood for biosecurity reasons.
During the wet season (December-April) we recommend 4WD to access the property as there is a concrete causeway creek crossing and on rare occasions this can become impassable with an extreme amount of rain but does go down very quickly once rain has eased. Please take care and go slowly on unsealed roads.

Site 2 Our newer spot work in progress not so ideal for camper trailers. your situated under our tree line away from the main creek. A smaller paver firepit, plenty fine for sitting around an open fire while watching the stars at night.
Swimming in the creek is not recommended.
So please check by internal message before confirming your booking that way we can confirm a spot while discussing your needs to ensure you have a clear view of your camping area.
Onsite we have our shared outhouse porta toilet which is positioned in the middle of both camping areas for everyone's convenience.

Campers will enjoy a lovely nearby drive up Mount Fox - a rising above surrounding eucalypt woodlands where you can find an ancient volcano with a large crater. The Stone River flows near by, which is good for relaxing and enjoying the crystal clear water. Wallaman fall is also close by.
The property is located 15 minutes out of Ingahm and under 2 hours out of Townsville.
Nice tropical weather. Safe neighbourhood. Very peaceful and relaxing.

Sheree was such an amazing host and little camp dog Jacko was adorable addition to our stay, he got on very well with our dogs and even stayed and had a fire with us, the view campsite 4 was stunning, and close to amenities but further enough away as to not be bothered by other campers. We took an adventure to mission beach which was stunning and had a drink at the El Arish pub which was so lovely ! As itâs not absolutely rural you are fortunate to have phone reception and there is firewood in the shed which also hosts very clean bathroom facilities. We will 100% be coming back!

Sheree and her brother were both very welcoming and friendly. Our camp site was stunning and very private. We had the little dam all to ourselves for our whole stay. We loved lighting up the fire each evening and watching the turtles.

Absolutely well maintained beautiful property. Unfortunately we had a bit of rain but didnât dampen our spirits. Toilet and shower available which was nice. Close to visit Tully township and Alligators Nest and Tully Gorge. The other sites were all lovely as well. Friendly host, easy to chat to and great communication. Would highly recommend this place.

Great spot for camping, everything is very well maintained and even though it was very wet the site we were on had compacted gravel so no issues at all. Sheree was very helpful. Highly recommend!

Sheree was a wonderful welcoming host. Firewood delivery and intel on the animal names and where the kids might find a turtle or tabby.
Great to have the amenities right nearby, a lovely clean shower and toilet out of the weather. Was grey and wet when we visited but the view was still great!

Sheree was welcoming. We camped during "typical" Tully weather, but our site drained well and a gravel base made for less mud and easy grip. The rain didn't dampen our stay. The amenities were clean. Beautiful setting. The kids were entertained by the turtles in the creek and are already asking when we can return. We will be back.

We loved camping at Tully Mountain Views. The place is so beautiful and so relaxing. It was lovely to wake up seeing turtles in the dam. We will be back for sure.
