Bebrue was created in 1972 when 8¼ acres of natural bushland on the top of Mount Gibraltar (“The Gib”) at Mittagong was donated to the Girl Guides Association for the establishment of a camping and outdoors facility.Today, the site offers a well-protected camping facility set amongst beautiful, natural surrounds that are ideal for many activities. The adjacent north-east side of Mount Gibraltar offers walking trails to explore.The Mount Gibraltar Forest is significant due to its rarity, being identified as an endangered and threatened ecological community. The unique geology of the area supports a collection of flora that, as an assemblage, does not exist outside of The Gib. One very important resident of The Gib that you may meet is the extremely rare Powerful Owl. Bebrue is one of the largest privately own properties on The Gib and Girl Guides have always worked hard to protect the natural bush at Bebrue. Bebrue has also been recognised by the Mount Gibraltar Landcare and Bushcare Group as being an important local wildlife corridor. It is a member of Land for Wildlife.Bebrue is run by volunteers and all funds generated go back into improving the facility for use by the Girl Guides and wider community.

Fill your days swimming in the creek, exploring the property on foot, on mountain-bike, set up yabbie traps in the dams, or sit back and relax listening to the abundant birdlife that calls Forestvale home and keep your binoculars and camera handy for the visiting wildlife including wombats and kangaroos. Forestvale Farm is a working farm and you are welcome to view whatever activities are happening during your visit, or head out beyond the farm gate to visit the Taralga Zoo, stock up on fresh organic produce grown by our neighbours, dine on hearty pub dinners in town, or fish for trout on the Abercrombie River just up the road. An easy and 10kms from the Hume Hwy there are numerous camp sites, a couple by the oak grove, a couple by the dam and with lovely rural vista. Kids stay free and are not included in the site capacity. Sites are easy access with a clear track. All sites are dispersed so you can choose where you stay. We live on property and are happy to share and let people enjoy our beautiful location. The morning birdsong and evening are restorative. The sunrises and sunsets amazing. Far enough away to unwind and relax, close enough to get a caffeine fix if needed! Coming into summer camp fires are subject to weather conditions and fire warnings. Campers must be self-contained. Off grid campers, 4wd vehicles with pop ups or tents on ground and RVs can be accommodated. We have a leave only footprints philosophy. All rubbish and waste (human, animal & general) must be taken off property. Extremely well behaved dogs are welcome. Our birds are free range so dogs need to be feathered friend friendly. Elouera Vale is a working farm located just outside Mittagong NSW. We breed and train camels for sale, especially into the Southern Highlands. Camels are excellent for weed control and co-grazing with cattle. 'Elouera Vale' also breeds Belted Galloway cattle, Dorper and Wiltipol sheep and donkeys. Our property covers over 140 acres, 80 acres cleared and pasture improved and the rest consisting of forest. The Chain O Ponds creek runs through the property and makes for a lovely walk. Please note riders/drivers must sign a waiver from Binacrombi before hitting the trails, as motorbikes and 4WD's ARE NOT covered by Hipcamp insurance.

A beautiful and serene 40 acres just 5 kms from the wonderful Bundanoon village, the gateway to the Morton National Park, in the wonderful Southern Highlands NSW. We have a chain of dams to throw a line or catch some yabbies, even float around in the kayaks, or just sit beside and soak up the rays. We have horses, chooks, ducks and peafowl and a beautiful chocolate lab, Cleo. An easy and 10kms from the Hume Hwy there are numerous camp sites, a couple by the oak grove, a couple by the dam and with lovely rural vista. Kids stay free and are not included in the site capacity. Sites are easy access with a clear track. All sites are dispersed so you can choose where you stay. We live on property and are happy to share and let people enjoy our beautiful location. The morning birdsong and evening are restorative. The sunrises and sunsets amazing. Far enough away to unwind and relax, close enough to get a caffeine fix if needed! Coming into summer camp fires are subject to weather conditions and fire warnings. Campers must be self-contained. Off grid campers, 4wd vehicles with pop ups or tents on ground and RVs can be accommodated. We have a leave only footprints philosophy. All rubbish and waste (human, animal & general) must be taken off property. Extremely well behaved dogs are welcome. Our birds are free range so dogs need to be feathered friend friendly. Elouera Vale is a working farm located just outside Mittagong NSW. We breed and train camels for sale, especially into the Southern Highlands. Camels are excellent for weed control and co-grazing with cattle. 'Elouera Vale' also breeds Belted Galloway cattle, Dorper and Wiltipol sheep and donkeys. Our property covers over 140 acres, 80 acres cleared and pasture improved and the rest consisting of forest. The Chain O Ponds creek runs through the property and makes for a lovely walk. You will probably get to see kangaroo, wallaby, wombats, echidnas, koalas and lots of bird life. The lush green hills abound with walking and cycling trails. You can head to the spectacular Nattai Gorge via the Box Vale Mine walking track, an easy 4.4km circular walk that follows an old railway line through a tunnel to breath-taking views. Enjoy a picnic in the magnificent Lake Alexandra Reserve or hike up extinct volcanic peak Mount Gibraltar. The closest shops are approximately a 15 minute drive to the Mittagong Town Centre where you will find all the shops, cafes and restaurants for your needs. It is well worth a visit to ‘The Shaggy Cow’ cafe, one of our favourite foodie spots (don’t forget to mention Elouera Vale). While you're here please try the Cool Climate wines. The region’s rich soil and high altitude are ideal for cool-climate wine growing. Visit cellar doors in the hills and valleys around Mittagong, including Centennial Vineyards. Enjoy a pleasant wine tasting experience at Centennial (don’t forget to mention us). The Camel Cottage offers a luxe off-the-grid escape for couples just one hour from Sydney but feels like "miles from anywhere". The Gums Cottage is a fully contained, off-grid modern getaway, surrounded by the magnificent white gum trees that are its namesake. The serene setting and stylish interior of The Gums provides all the essentials for a picturesque and peaceful country escape. The White Gum Forest Retreat offers campsites nestled in a white gum forest, not far from a beautiful trickling creek. There is access to toilets and a small dam near campsites for water supply for showers where required. Had a great stay at Yabie corner.Beautiful spot to stay with the grandkids. They loved the kayaks and catching yabies. The cows were a highlight. Kids loved them and they where very friendly even with the dogs.The hosts and his family great. Would highly recommend this camp.

⭐ Epic Riverside Campsite – Perfect for Kids, 4x4 Lovers & Summer Days We had an absolutely epic stay at this riverside campsite. The river was the hero of the whole trip – the kids were in the water pretty much from sunrise to sunset. Safe shallows, gentle flow, and plenty of spots to float, splash, or just sit in the water and cool off. The campsite itself gets great shade for most of the day, which made the hot weather super manageable. Only breakfast time was a bit sunny, but once the sun moved, the whole area felt relaxed and comfortable. There isn’t a huge amount of perfectly flat ground, but we still managed to fit two camper trailers without any dramas. Once set up, it actually felt cosy and tucked away in a really nice way. The 4x4 access added to the fun. The dirt roads on the way in and the little track down to the river camp made it feel like a proper adventure—but still very doable. Beautiful scenery, heaps of space for the kids to roam, and a pristine river right at your doorstep. Honestly, one of the best family camping spots we’ve done. Highly recommend.

Drive in is beautiful through the open paddocks then once in property driving through sets the tone of a quite stay and peaceful, sunset is a smaller private spot loved the table and chairs Leanne has set up to enjoy breaky and dinner especially as it was a bit of stormy weather. The peacocks sound great and loved their calling noises during my stay. The walks on the property are nice simple walks but enjoyable but must do the George walk absolutely stunning. Whilst I am a complete self contained camper the toilet and shower was really nice and great set up
