Our property is set on 250 acres of private farming land set in the majestic Wako Mountain Ranges with 50 of these acres being available for camping. We have unpowered campsites walking distance to the creek. Caravans, tents and roof top tents all welcome.
There are free range animals for the kids for the kids to interact with a licensed bar for the adults to have an afternoon drink.
Enjoy access to a communal pool, tennis court, shower and toilet block facilities. There are BBQ’s available for cooking, outdoor communal fireplace and sitting area for your comfort. Please note our drinking water is fed from the creek, you are welcome to purify it or bring your own drinking water.
We have free range animals on our farm and ask that you keep your pets on leash when not at your campsite.

It is an ideal space on a hot summer day to take a camp chair sit with a glass of wine and rejuvenate in absolute privacy.
A stay at Cascades Cottage can be any sort of holiday you like - a romantic getaway, a relaxing and peaceful break, or a fun and action-packed adventure exploring the farm, nearby national parks, the fall, and the rapids which is off the farm about 10 minutes away but a fun and dynamic place where you can swim and explore the natural rock pools that run from the top of a natural stream.
Native wildlife make the farm their home. Wallabies, koalas, and platypus can often be seen enjoying the surroundings. Kayak on the dam or spend time on the pier waiting for the platypus to play in the early mornings and late afternoon. A stay at the Cascades will bring you close to nature and give you a wonderful tree change for the duration of your stay.
Guests have access to a large freshwater dam and two kayaks are provided for your use (as well as life jackets). Guests can explore the whole property of 220 acres. There are many waterways and rain forest areas as well as fields and paddocks. We are pet friendly.

Several species of wallabies graze around the cabin in the early mornings or late afternoons.
Elands is a quiet village with an eclectic community, a Post Office and General store.
Our closest town being Wingham is approximately 40 minutes drive the last 16 klms up the mountain is unsealed. It is suitable for all types of vehicles but can be rough at times.
The cabin has mobile phone service for those with Telstra or Aldi SIM cards.
We have 3 generations of family living on our property and we are only interested in hosting a single female or couple.
We have for many years hosted helpers on our farm but now are offering it as a short term stay (2 nights minimum)
We are completely off grid and try to live in a simple manner with solar, tank water and an outdoor composting toilet.
We are only just starting to rent our cabin out and so far have no reviews but have many 5 star reviews on other platforms such as HelpX
Unfortunately we don’t allow pets as we have our own dogs on the property who have grown up with the surrounding wildlife and pose no threat.

This is rustic living, no flash flush here but a practical long drop eco-friendly compost toilet and a fantastic gas hot water shower out in the elements!
You will need to bring your own bedding, pillows sheets etc. we are on tank water and at times it is low! Dogs are welcome but please bring their own bedding.
The property is also home to local wildlife and filled with lots of old trees, plants and flowers whilst enjoying your morning cuppa on the balcony.
As we are 45 minutes from the closest town, you will need to fuel up before you head up the mountain. Also bring drinking water and all the food you will require for your stay. The Elands general store carries basic groceries, beer wine and spirits.
Loads of walking tracks nearby; the Legendary Ellenborough Falls is 5 mins by car or half hour walk through the Elands Village.
There is an endless network of gravel roads and fire trails waiting to be explored, taking you through the national parks, state forests and undulating farmlands of the Bulga Plateau.
This delightful self contained cabin is a perfect getaway for you to work on your project, (longer stays can be negotiated) be it visual art; a book; a film script; photography or simply forest breathing to clear the mind.
Blue Knob (Kaoraoa) at 1014 metres, is one of the highest peaks in the forest
with Panoramic Plateau Views of the surrounding country 40 mins by car.
I'm retired now and appreciate even more, living in paradise. The usually good amount of rain, the ever warmer summers when we can swim in the Ellenborough River. Yes after 40 years on the Bulga I can feel the changes in the environment.

We also have a couple of swamp hen families. A number of fruit bats from Wingham brush reach us most nights at dusk. We have also seen an owl near the chicken coop & if you're lucky you may spot the kangaroos in the paddock.
We welcome tents, campervans, trailer tents and caravans but you need to provide your own drinking water- outside solar shower is available that can be filled up at the rainwater tank by the camp kitchen.

The Paddock suits all vehicles- Max 3 parties at once.
We also have more private spot Woodland Area which suits just one party but vehicle access is a couple of mins walk and further to the camp kitchen.

Loved this beautiful stay. Rachel was very accommodating and provided everything that we needed and more. The puppies and chickens were a bonus we loved them and the whole vibe of the property. They’ve really made the place feel magical.

Had a great experience staying in Rachel's tent. Very well kept with a comfy bed and really nice bathroom facilities. We loved the cosy atmosphere with all the chickens and dog roaming about.

Weekend Trip to Cascades Cottage
We had a wonderful stay at this cozy and quiet cottage. It was exactly what we needed for a relaxing getaway. The dam was absolutely amazing, and having the kayaks available was such a great bonus. Would definitely stay here again!

We loved staying in the church, it is simply unique and swimming in the pristine river so refreshing! Graham and Chris are so lovely and very hospitable, little touches such as vases of fresh home grown flowers and herbs make it special! The bucket shower is the best!! Dinner cooked over an open fire was delicious.

Weekend Trip to Oakenville Farm, Nundle
I had the most magical time away at the Oakenville Farm Bell Tent. What a blissful adventure. From the beautiful Birdlife to the quirky chickens every part of my stay here felt like a home away from home. The lovely Rachel could not have been a more hospitable host, she was always around if you needed a hand or just a good old chat (which I definitely loved to do😂). The best way to spend the long weekend and get away to totally switch off.
The tent was beautiful, comfortable and spacious, filled with plenty of blankets and a small heater to stay warm during the cold nights. I highly recommend this beautiful location to anyone who wishes to get away without having to organise anything except food and transport.
Thank you so much to the beautiful people I met along the way on this peaceful adventure. It's definitely one I will cherish ❤️✨

We absolutely loved our stay at the treehouse. Sophie was an amazing host and went out of her way to make our stay enjoyable. The accommodation was immaculate and beautifully appointed. We normally camp so it was wonderful to be totally “off-grid” but with the luxury of electricity, hot showers, a flushing toilet, comfy furniture to relax in, and even Starlink - what a rare find! We did almost everything on Sophie’s suggested activities - 4WD’ing, swimming & kayaking along the pristine river, the breathtaking drive out to Ellenborough falls, and we even had a bonfire. The kids loved the flying fox and all the friendly animals - they loved the al pacas, played with the dogs, patted the cows, fed the horses and chooks and collected delicious fresh eggs every morning. The full farmstay experience. We can’t wait to come back again - thanks Sophie!

Rachel was very friendly and helpful.Loved our little getaway.Bed was comfortable and plenty of blankets to keep us warm .Bath and shower were charming with plenty of hot water.Kitchen basic but that was fine for us to cook breakfast.Only a 1km walk to pub for dinner and out and about for lunch.Did not use camp fire but there was plenty of wood available.Maybe take your camp esky to store your food and drinks..Dont forget to try the donuts up the Main Street.

Weekend Trip to Mountain Top Cabin
I went on a trip to Sharon’s beautiful home and was very pleased, unfortunately we had to cut our trip short due to severe weather and needing to return home. The location is perfect for a hiker or nature lover just a few mins from Elands town. It was a beautiful little cabin nestled in nature. Sharon was friendly, flexible and very attentive to any questions or queries.
Admittedly we took a wrong turn on the way there and after contacting her for best way to get back on track she was waiting at the front to welcome us. With a scenic cabin and amazing host would definitely recommend

6 nights at Red Hill Organics Farmstay
Stunning location and close to world class wilderness and natural beauty. The Shearing Shed has everything you could ever need, very cosy.
Louise was very welcoming and couldn't have been more helpful. She is very knowledgable about local history, and natural history also, and the shed is replete with printed information and maps.

We really enjoyed our time at Graham and Chris’s property. It’s a lovely place and the log cabin was very cozy and a lovely place to stay.
Graham and Chris were very welcoming and checked in on us every day to make sure we had everything we needed ; even bringing us beautiful mandarins from their garden and worms to fish with! The river was a nice place to have a swim and skim some rocks. We will definitely be back. Thank you
