Safe Haven with Farm & Mtn Views
My girlfriend and I loved our stay at Safe Haven. The little farm is beautiful and Meredith went out of her way to look after us. I would highly recommend staying there!

Meredith is a wonderful host. She is accomodating, hospitable and a beautiful person all round. Our stay was the break we needed for the weekend. Private spot with gorgeous views of mountains, farm life, lush green fields and the night sky that keeps you in awe.
This spot is a perfect stay with close proximity to mountains tracks, coastal beaches, lakes and much more.
We enjoyed camping here that it is now marked as one of our favourite places to stay.
Highly recommend staying here if you’re passing by or need a nice peaceful scenic place to unwind and relax.

The property oozes with old world charm and the scenery is gorgeous. Meredith was super hospitable and was so generous with sharing her family’s land. Our kids made core memories here! They loved it.
Don’t stress too much about which spot you pick; they are all lovely.
(Just double check on the toilet/shower situation if that’s important to you, as this is a work in progress.)

We had such a wonderful time. Meredith really looked after us (even providing us with marshmallows for the fire!). Such a beautiful spot on top of a hill with beautiful 360 views of the countryside. Cows surround the property (they’re fenced out so no worries about them in the night) but are such a beautiful sight to wake up to. The common room was a great place to hang out in the evening when other campers had gone to bed - we loved playing board games in here! About 15 minutes to the shops and 20 minutes to the beach this is a great spot tucked away off the highway. We couldn’t recommend it enough!

I had the most tranquil night in my small off road caravan. Just pulled up in the house paddock, had a ride on my bike, brought honey from the neighbours and enjoyed the sunset. Saw Black Cockatoos flying overhead.

I am absolutely in LOVE with this camping spot and have already booked in another stay there! The Glade View is a peaceful gem - secluded amongst the beautiful garden. It truly felt like we were in a magical fairy garden. 😍 🌳🌷 Abundant bird life.
The property is close to the Pacific Hwy and was very easy to find. A nearby fuel station made filling up in the morning ready for our next travel stage easy and the local cafe makes a lovely coffee.
The bathroom and kitchen facilities were a sort walk from the camp site. Was super clean with everything I needed. A warm shower was Divine after a long day driving and camping.
Our host Meredith is so genuinely warm and friendly. I cannot sing her praises highly enough! You were our 1st Hipcamp experience and have far exceeded all others we have stayed at since. Thankyou to Meredith (and her co- hosts Banjo and Tilly her friendly little doggos- we love them! 🤩🐕🐕) my teen daughter and I made some lasting happy memories.
We were also treated to a peek with The Potting Shed cabin. 10,000% we are going to book a stay there too! It is so warm and cozy, full of history and cottage core charm. Very relaxing for fellow introverts looking for a cozy retreat. Would happily chill for hours reading a book on the couch, or taking advantage of the natural light and stunning gardens and mountain views to draw or paint or similar. Perfect for an artist's retreat (or even a romantic getaway!)

We loved it here. The camp site was secluded and private while being close to the main house and amenities. Both Meredith and her husband were lovely people who welcomed us kindly and shared their space with us. We particularly enjoyed the space around us to play some lawn games and chess. It was a beautiful place to unwind at the end our road trip. The amenities were more than we expected with a lovely charm to them. It is obvious that Meredith takes pride in the presentation and we loved all the quirks. If you get the chance to have clear weather the views were amazing and made it all the more enjoyable. Thanks so much guys we can’t wait to come back and spend a few more days!

Meridith and her husband were so welcoming, the land is beautiful and so well kept, obviously a passion project! they mentioned that the plot is a family heirloom and they’ve certainly made the most of it, 50+ Acres of beautiful farmland, with surrounding views of stunning mountains whichever direction you look, from the moment we arrived we couldn’t understand why you would want to be anywhere else.
Full of useful amenities and really accesible, minutes off the pacific highway, but you’d never know, the only noise for miles was the birds singing and friendly neighbourhood cows (with the odd singsong from the two resident puppies who will undoubtedly keep you company throughout your stay)
The best review I can give, is that we travelled two hours down the coast… then decided we’d be stupid not to drive BACK and stay a second night. Book now!

Camped at Pear Tree Farm for a couple of nights in January and it was great! Loved the views and the friendliness of Meredith really made us feel welcome. She went out of her way to make the place feel relaxing, with a common room to get out of the weather, outdoor showers, and the use of the cabin amenities whilst no one was using it! Plenty of space and options of where to camp.

I loved staying at Meredith’s land, it was beautiful and peaceful. The cottage was cute and had a few camping spots scattered around. The spot was close to a lot of the local towns, restaurants, beaches and national parks, very spoilt for choice. Meredith was very knowledgeable of the local area and provided some great recommendations.

My fiance and I had a fantastic time at The Top Place. Meredith was extremely warm and welcoming, going above and beyond to make our stay special. The grounds are beautiful, with views over the hills and a stunning sunset. It's got to be one of best places we have ever camped!

Meredith is a fantastic host, extremely welcoming and friendly. She met us at the gate, showed us around 2 possible spots to park up and advised on the benefits of each spot. She even set up an outdoor shower as we were in a camper a but with no shower facilities. The site itself is beautiful, very peaceful with lovely views. Within minutes of the pacific highway with a cafe just 1km down the road.

We enjoyed our tent camping at Meredith’s place. We felt very welcome and she was very accommodating and keen to make our stay a pleasant one. We even set up on a better site than the one we booked on her recommendation for a better view! The scenery was nothing short of beautiful. The sky was also dark at night – great for stargazing.
On the very calm, still nights like we had during our stay, the traffic and train noise was noticeable, but wasn’t too intrusive. I’m a light sleeper and it didn’t bother me. Also, the toilet facilities are part the Potting Shed which is also rented out, so access may be limited when someone is occupying it. Meredith made sure we were able to access another bathroom when necessary though.
The beach is accessible via a more direct route than suggested by Google Maps, down a dirt road – about 15–20 min drive. It would be easily accessible in a 2wd.

Meredith was a wonderful host, meeting me in the rain late on a Saturday night and even putting me up in the outhouse on her property so I didn’t have to contend with wet gear the next morning. Communication was very prompt and clear and I was even given a hot brew before I got under way the next morning. Thanks Meredith - will certainly stay again when passing your lovely place

Most beautiful property I have ever stayed at. The drive in was amazing and being able to see the mountains was fantastic. I could hear and see so much wildlife including the cute cows right next to me. Meredith was a fantastic host! She kept in contact with me throughout my stay and was so welcoming it really made me feel at ease. Definitely recommend!

Meredith was a lovely host, boasting clean and inviting amenities. I only stayed the one night, sadly arriving after dark and missing the “Mountain View”. Nonetheless Meredith made the stay with a friendly and generous demeanour. The drive in was gorgeous, I would definitely recommend this camp to anyone who enjoys some quiet scenery. Good luck with setting up and decorating the sites Meredith, I’ll definitely stay again!
