If you want to get away from it all and relax beside a beautiful crystal clear spring-fed creek with a rainforest backdrop while clouds float by, then this is a place for you. We have one creek site with or without power, you will have the place to yourselves with the exception of us in the main residence up the hill. We are not a commercial campground and are in process of restoring the property back to its glory and bring back the native animals after being effected by bushfires in 2018. There are BBQ and fire pit areas setup for your use at the site and firewood is readily available at fee. The property is located 800m above sea level 11km up Dalrymple Road in Eungella. The property entrance is concealed and on the left side were wheelie bins are located and opposite a traffic mirror. From the front gate which is on your left and has a Land for Wildlife sign is a locked gate. Eungella National Park is boarding the back of the property where the cloud rainforest and creek are located. Nights can be cold and rain sometimes unpredictable. We have a 150 acre property, 50 acres of which is rainforest with a magical creek winding through it. Rainforest walks have been marked or you can just follow the creek and discover secluded swimming holes with small waterfalls. There are leaches in the rainforest and we recommend that you bring insect repellent and adequate hiking gear. You will love the bird watching, sighting the native animals with many rare species around. Forest bathing is a must with areas setup to sit and relax. During November firefly´s drift through the property at dusk. Rosellas, King Parrots and Finch's are popular on the property and Cockatoos make a regular visit. After a good rain, a frog fest starts and can be heard all night. There are chickens free ranging and Kookaburras have a good laugh at them most days. Access to the property is by booking only, we recommend, 4WD and AWD during the wet season but 2WD is ok during the dry times. High clearance caravans up to 7m or medium size campers are ok, we have a long gravel entry road into the property with inclines and tight bends as shown in photos. A tractor is available on site if needed in wet conditions. Campers are preferred to have own amenities and all waste has to be collected and taken off the property. Use of the amenity block is available at the main residence and on request. Washing machine and dryer are available for a fee. Please contact us if you need further information. This is a dog (10kg and less) and horse friendly property. We have many ground feeding birds and wallabies and request that animals not wonder unattended. If your pet is well trained and can be restrained from casing wildlife please ask for confirmation to bring them along. Please note that we have parasite ticks on the property and recommend that you give your pet a tick treatment prior to arriving. We have no mobile phone coverage on the camp site, limited coverage if you drive up the hill at the highest point. Internet is available at the main residence at a fee per stay. The property is located 850m above sea level 11km along Dalrymple Road in Eungella QLD. At the back of the property is where the rainforest and creek site are located. Eungella National Park is boarding the back boundary. The creek site is a large area with shallow and deep swimming holes. The creek bank is great for relaxing and watching the wildlife. There is an area upstream were the kids can kayak. There are many swimming holes on the property to explore. From the front gate, we have a long gravel entry road into the property to the secluded creek site. The creek site is short distance away from the amenities which are located at the main residences. A potable travel toilet is available at the creek site for those midnight emergencies. Electricity can be connection to the creek site for $5 cash per night. Washing machine and dryer are available at the amenities for a fee of $10 cash. There are BBQ and fire pit areas setup for your use at the site and firewood is readily available at fee of $10 cash per wheelbarrow. Please note that we have parasite ticks on the property and recommend that you give your pet a tick treatment prior to arriving. The rainforest creek has swimming holes to use, please be mindful that the waters flow into the Eungella National Park and out to the Great Barrier Reef and so it would be great if you could use sunscreen that is chemical free. Sandals or shoes are recommended for creek walks and swimming. Some wildlife walking tracks have been marked and new tracks are always being explored. Bird watching, sighting the native animals throughout the property. Forest bathing in the rainforest is a must. Up on the high area in the middle of the property you can watch the sunsets. Our Rainforest Mountain Escape
One of the most stunning places I have been on earth. It is so hard to know what to expect prior to arriving at your new home for the next 2 weeks. A steep but steady climb up the mountain of Eungella through fog and dense forest. Enter the property down a windy dirt road - so far off the road not a soul would hear your echoes. Tony and Sheree are such welcoming hosts, inviting you into their private rainforest oasis. We camped within 20m of a rocky creek. Deep enough to dip your toes or take a swim. A canoe sits on the bank, my 5 year old daughter and I trekked upstream, with low hanging branches and vines. The dogs took a dip too! No issues with rainy weather, apart from our 2WD & trailer which we learnt weren’t great for handling wet conditions. Tony checked in to make sure we were OK on rainy days. We were nice and dry in our tent. Sunshine was welcomed, while the kids ran around the beautiful lawns. What a great way to start our Aussie adventure!

Perfect in everyway
What a beautiful stay we had. We had the creek site all to ourselves. The perfect getaway from the hustle and bustle. Much cooler weather so we could really enjoy everything the rain forest has to offer in the middle of summer.

Searching for the hidden oasis?
WHAT A SPOT! You will not regret booking here - Tony and his partner (and pooch, Buffy) we're so welcoming to their gorgeous property! Camping down by the creek provided the perfect spot for a dip, a place to catch up on book time, and for those adventurous souls - hike the tracks around the property. Falling asleep to the sound of frogs.. couldn't ask for a better place to escape society.. #saveeungella
