Booyong Camping

We loved our stay at Booyong, beautiful property and views from our campsite, and perfect spot for doing some Astro photography. Paul showed us around the property, and we fed the baby cows 😍 He also has some interesting artwork to see in his studio. Campsites are large and very spread out, with the cows visiting regularly. Doggos had a great time too. We will definitely be back for another visit. Highly recommend.

Megs and I absolutely loved the place--it was beautiful and Paul was a gracious and helpful host. We were a little taken aback by one racist comment Paul made. But he immediately noticed our discomfort and became more gracious after that. Paul even gave us a lovely pumkin to eat which we roasted and really enjoyed, AND there was a grapefruit tree on the property Paul told us about full of the most delcious grapefruit. thanks so much for everything

We had an amazing stay at Booyong Camping and will definitely be back. The property is absolutely awesome, with spacious campsites right on the beautiful Condamine River. It was peaceful, private, and the perfect place to unwind. Paul was a fantastic host friendly, welcoming, and happy to share his knowledge of the area. The campsites are well spaced, making it feel like you have your own slice of nature. If you're looking for a quiet escape with incredible scenery, river access, and a genuine bush camping experience, I couldn't recommend Booyong Camping highly enough. Just be prepared with a 4WD for river crossings, which is well worth it once you arrive. Five stars!

Site 2 - Booyong Platypus watch

We felt completely at ease staying at Paul’s property beside the Condamine River. Surrounded by nature, we loved listening to the bell birds, whip birds, and the gentle sound of the river flowing over the rocks. Having the camping area mostly to ourselves made the experience even more relaxing and special. This is a wonderful place to unwind, reconnect with nature, and enjoy the Australian wildlife. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would happily recommend it to anyone looking for peace and quiet away from a busy life. Thank you, Paul.

What a great spot. Creek was running, site was clean and good distance from other campers. Paul was great and offers some extra features in your stay. Private hiking trails through his property which were great. Plenty of sun for solar and about as level ground as you will find. Will definitely be back

A massive thank you to Paul for sharing his absolutely spectacular property with us. We feel very lucky to have stayed at the Hill Top Site. The views were simply amazing and the walking tracks revealed such diverse bush and bird life. Our boys had a ball riding their bikes and playing with Paul’s dog Dobby. We will definitely be back.

We enjoyed our night at Site 3 in some very ordinary weather. Paul was helpful and suggested a walk up the hill along well formed tracks. Saw heaps of birds (including fairy wrens and finches), wallabies, potaroos.

Paul is a really friendly and available camp host. His land is beautifully looked after and you couldn’t find a better camping spot in the area. We stayed at Site 2 in the pine paddock; we had shade all day long and enjoyed walking down to the creek for walks and a dip with our dogs. Site 1 and 3 looked nice too; site 4 is probably the most secluded but it was taken this time. We would likely book that one next time! Paul provided firewood and recommendations on local walks, lookouts and things to do in the area. There’s several waterfalls in the area and Killarney is a local small town where we enjoyed a lovely fruit sorbet and ice cream. We had such a great time at Booyong camping and we are already looking at the calendar to plan our next visit!

We had a wonderful stay camping on Paul’s property in Booyong, set up in the beautiful orchid paddock right on the river. The location was absolutely stunning — peaceful, scenic and with direct creek frontage that made it feel like our own private paradise. Paul was a fantastic host. He showed us the best waterhole on arrival, checked in on us a couple of evenings, dropped off extra firewood and took the time to chat and share his local knowledge. His friendliness and genuine care made the whole experience even better. The campsite, the creek and Paul’s hospitality were all outstanding. We couldn’t have asked for a better spot and will definitely be back. Highly recommend to anyone wanting a relaxing riverside escape.
