The original cottage is still on site and is a long term renovation project for us, it may be old but holds lots and lots of history behind them walls. The verandah area is yours to use, if you wish, for a bit of extra room to escape the rain or provide a bit of shade (depending on season) it has a powerpoint and light for your convenience. This is a beautiful area to explore the wilderness through bush trails, coastline, fishing, finding orchids or just relaxing and escaping the hustle and bustle of life. Most of our powered sites are large and shaded with the few that are not shaded being complimented by views of the rolling hills. Most are also drive through sites adding to the ease of getting in and set up quickly. All sites are no more than 100m from our amenities. Big Valley Campsite is nestled amongst the hills of our family owned working sheep farm, ten minutes south east of Margaret River.Camp fires are prohibited in the Margaret River region between December and April, please follow any restrictions when on the property.Your pets are welcome to join you but please notify the hosts at the time of your booking if they are travelling with you.The farm encompasses a beautiful secret valley hidden from the outside world by natural forest. We are central to the Margaret River region and its tourist attractions. Margaret River has plenty of wineries, breweries and restaurants to choose from. It also has arts and crafts, mountain biking, bush walking, caving, canoeing and abseiling to offer both visitors and locals a great variety of things to do. Plus there are many brewery and wine tours that will pick up and drop off from our campsite.

Take a short 25 minute drive to Windy Harbour to enjoy the southern ocean and the beautiful landscape. Pemberton is also 20 minutes away, It’s known for the tall karri trees of Gloucester National Park, including the Gloucester Tree with its lookout point. Also in the park are the Cascades waterfall and Lefroy Brook’s rocky rapids. Just outside town are more giant karris at Warren National Park and vast dunes at Yeagarup Beach.

Events can be catered for, however notice and agreement is required first. Excessive noise and disruption will not be tolerated otherwise. Neighbours must be respected.
