I'm unsure how this camp-site has so many good reviews. It was really uncomfortable. The "hilltop haven" was a mound of sand. The property was a junk yard, and getting to the toilets felt like something out of a horror movie.
I'm so glad I decided last minute not to bring my dog. Their dog was jumping on the kids, knocking them over, tried to hump us so many times. We had to put our 3 year old in the car multiple times because we felt it wasn't safe. The dog bit one of the horses, then the owner kicked the dog and swung it by it's tail.
We were woken at 5.30am by 3 horses standing on our tent, and throwing our things around the site. The horses tried biting us three times as we tried to pack up. We had to hide our child in the car while we packed up, and had to go elsewhere to cook breakfast.
The horses were raiding the other campsites too.
The campsites we so close together, the property was small and there were long term campers staying their too. We spoke to the other overnight campers who said they also felt very uncomfortable, and were considering leaving. It was definitely an adventure we won't forget any time soon. If you're wanting a relaxing camp-site, this isn't the place to go.
