It’s also an easy drive to several charming hills pubs, including Mount Helena Tavern, Mundaring Hotel, Mundaring Weir Hotel, Mahogany Inn, and Hemingway's. Wonderful cafés are located within a short walk, cycle, or drive. Well-behaved dogs are welcome on a lead. We have free-ranging chickens and horses in the paddocks, so dogs must be kept under control around these animals. Pets are welcome to stay, provided they are respectful of all our animals. Our very friendly Kelpie, Millie, will be happy to make friends! All our pets are well-fed and cared for — please don’t feed them without checking with us first. 5 beautiful acres in the Swan Valley with horses, we run a horse rehoming charity from here where all proceeds from hipcamp go to support our facility. Along with plenty of horses, you'll also see kangaroos at certain times and our pet sheep Jamima who thinks she's a horse! A superb property with a winter creek and an open paddock where the horses live. It's very peaceful. There are only two camping sites available on this wonderful property at any time so privacy is assured. There is also a dam on the property so please mind any children with absent swimming abilities. Campfires are allowed during the season, and there is a toilet and shower available in the shed 100 meters from the camping area. Smaller groups booking the campsites will have full access to the toilet and shower. Please note, however, we offer a group camping option for larger groups but those booking this option must be fully self-contained as our facilities are not enough to support a large group. We have a strict Leave No Trace policy here, we kindly ask that you take all rubbish with you when you leave. We also ask that you please do not feed the horses. The property is well located to access many great wineries and cafes in the famous Swan Valley area, some within walking distance. Security here is taken care of by Mr security guard "aka" Smoky our pet dog. He's very safe and timid. If you get a pat from this boy I know you're good, so beware! We are dog friendly here, so you're welcome to bring mans best friend and we also have a secure yard to house any pets if you need a break, so long as they don't hassle the horses. We may also be able to accommodate your horse - please discuss this with us prior to booking. We are a hobby farm set on 100-acres on the North Dandalup scarp, with a few sheep. You will find kangaroos, echidnas, sometimes emus visiting our property. You can enjoy the great views into the horizon towards the Indian Ocean amidst the tall jarrah and gum trees. Campsites are set in the woodlands, some with views. It’s perfect for people seeking 'quiet' time away, but still near to amenities in the towns around here. You can take walks to experience forest therapy, have a campfire or canoe in the dams during wintertime. There is no power, water or toilet facilities so campers must be completely self-contained. You are expected to clear up and take all rubbish with you. Leave no trace. The terrain is rather hilly, hence a few sites are accessible only by 4WD (Sembawang and Changi). There are some sites that are still accessible with regular cars (Opera 1, 2 or 3; Tampines, Bedok). RVs and small caravans are welcomed. All vehicles have to stay on the paths, and not to make any tracks. The gravel road leading to our property is shared with neighbours who run horses. As such, please drive really slowly here so as not to cause the horses to bolt. During the summer fire season, fires are strictly prohibited! Dogs welcome (on leash).

Our 43-hectare property is on the edge of the Darling Scarp behind the historical Fairbridge Village. Only 1 hour south of Perth, so it is close enough for a quick weekend getaway but far enough to enjoy the silence of the bush. There are elevated campsites with views west towards Mandurah and the Peel Estuary, northwest views toward Perth City, and three dams on the property. Guests must be fully self-contained, as no toilets or showers are available. Just amazing views :) Some locations are suitable for tents only, and some for caravans only. 4WD/AWDs are recommended as most sites are not easily accessible with a 2WD vehicle, especially during winter. Dog friendly. Campfires are permitted in designated areas with the host's approval (depending on fire restrictions). We are closed over the summer period due to increased fire risk. We are closed from 1 Dec through to 31 March due to High Fire Risk

Secluded little spot only 15km out of the city, great for a quick getaway. Scenery was perfect with bushland and Birdlife. Our dogs had a great time exploring down at the stream and up at the lookout. The owner was very considerate and came to check on us daily if we needed anything.

This a is stunning spot with great access to the Kep Track for walking and cycling. Lots of wildflowers and stars at the moment so really relaxing. Great that dogs can be off lead and the space between sites is sufficient enough that they weren’t interacting with other campers. Bit up there on pricing considering the lack of facilities but I wouldn’t let that put you off if you’re self sufficient.

Great property just an hour out of Perth. Mark is a great host - welcoming, helpful and very responsive. Sites are nicely spaced with ample room - we managed to bag the last night for fires in the Shire so had a great fire in the fire pit provided. Wood is available to forage for on the property but we always carry our own. Fresh eggs available to order for that morning brekkie. Highly recommend this property - thanks again Mark - we will be back.

What an idyllic spot to camp for a long weekend. Sitting by the lake, with a camp fire, sipping on wine made within a stone's throw of your campsite was a perfect way for us to unwind. Chris is an excellent host and made us feel welcome. The site is large, clean and well maintained. Access is easy for any size vehicle. Fire wood provided as well as chairs and the lights around the lake are great for spotting the local critters. 100% we will be back.
