Dunmore Homestead Farmstay

5. Dunmore Homestead Farmstay

8 sites · Tents, RVs · Scott River East, WA
Welcome to Dunmore Homestead, a working cattle farm and nature-based farmstay nestled in the heart of Western Australia’s stunning Scott River region. Surrounded by untouched forest, rolling pastures and winding waterways, our property offers a peaceful, back-to-nature escape for travellers seeking wide open spaces, fresh country air and the simple beauty of life on the land. Set across 1500 acres, Dunmore Homestead is a place where farming meets nature. Our free-range, grain fed cattle move through managed paddocks as part of a hands-on farming operation, while kangaroos and native wildlife can often be spotted at dusk. Ancient paperbark trees, jarrah forest and wetlands frame the property, while the nearby Scott River weaves its way through bushland, adding to the natural charater of the landscape. We’ve thoughtfully created a series of secluded campsites across the property, ranging from riverside clearings to shady forest sites and private paddock corners. Each site is unique, designed to give guests the space to unwind, disconnect from the rush of everyday life and experience the raw, unfiltered beauty of the South West. While we’re remote enough for stargazing and peaceful solitude, Dunmore is ideally located for those eager to explore the broader Scott River and Augusta region. Wander bush tracks on foot, follow the River Walk, or venture to nearby Black Point, Hamelin Bay and the Boranup Forest. The Scott River area is rich in history, flora and fauna, with wildflower displays in spring and abundant native orchids hidden in the undergrowth. Whether you’re a nature lover, keen angler, farm-curious traveller or simply someone in search of a slower pace, Dunmore Homestead offers a genuine, grounded farmstay experience in one of the South West’s most beautiful and little-known corners.

Murray Valley Camping

(516)
12 sites · Tents, RVs · Bunbury, WA
Murray Valley Camping features campsites that are completely open in nature. Each site is close to the Murray River and is surrounded by nature, so you truly feel far away from the rest of the world. The property is close to the famous Bibbulmun track, with Harvey and Boddington equal distances away, so options to explore the region easily. Campers can go for walks along the river, relax, and enjoy the sounds of nature. Throw your kayak in for a paddle. Throw a line in and try your luck at fishing. As the day slips away, catch a beautiful sunset, as you toast marshmallows by the campfire (outside of fire restriction times). There are no toilets or amenities, so all campers need to be fully self-contained in that respect, with their own camp toilet and water, and we ask you to take all waste when you go. There’s also little to no cell reception at the sites. There is background noise from the nearby conveyer belt that goes on and off randomly. Some people take it as soothing white noise while others think it’s overbearing. Pet-friendly, so you're welcome to bring your four-legged friend along. Unplug from everyday life, escape and reconnect with friends and family in nature.

20 sites · Tents, RVs · Mandurah, WA
We are a hobby farm set on 100-acres on the North Dandalup scarp, with a few sheep. You will find kangaroos, echidnas, sometimes emus visiting our property. You can enjoy the great views into the horizon towards the Indian Ocean amidst the tall jarrah and gum trees. Campsites are set in the woodlands, some with views. It’s perfect for people seeking 'quiet' time away, but still near to amenities in the towns around here. You can take walks to experience forest therapy, have a campfire or canoe in the dams during wintertime. There is no power, water or toilet facilities so campers must be completely self-contained. You are expected to clear up and take all rubbish with you. Leave no trace. The terrain is rather hilly, hence a few sites are accessible only by 4WD (Sembawang and Changi). There are some sites that are still accessible with regular cars (Opera 1, 2 or 3; Tampines, Bedok). RVs and small caravans are welcomed. All vehicles have to stay on the paths, and not to make any tracks. The gravel road leading to our property is shared with neighbours who run horses. As such, please drive really slowly here so as not to cause the horses to bolt. During the summer fire season, fires are strictly prohibited! Dogs welcome (on leash).

5 beautiful acres in the Swan Valley with horses, we run a horse rehoming charity from here where all proceeds from hipcamp go to support our facility. Along with plenty of horses, you'll also see kangaroos at certain times and our pet sheep Jamima who thinks she's a horse! A superb property with a winter creek and an open paddock where the horses live. It's very peaceful. There are only two camping sites available on this wonderful property at any time so privacy is assured. There is also a dam on the property so please mind any children with absent swimming abilities. Campfires are allowed during the season, and there is a toilet and shower available in the shed 100 meters from the camping area. Smaller groups booking the campsites will have full access to the toilet and shower. Please note, however, we offer a group camping option for larger groups but those booking this option must be fully self-contained as our facilities are not enough to support a large group. We have a strict Leave No Trace policy here, we kindly ask that you take all rubbish with you when you leave. We also ask that you please do not feed the horses. The property is well located to access many great wineries and cafes in the famous Swan Valley area, some within walking distance. Security here is taken care of by Mr security guard "aka" Smoky our pet dog. He's very safe and timid. If you get a pat from this boy I know you're good, so beware! We are dog friendly here, so you're welcome to bring mans best friend and we also have a secure yard to house any pets if you need a break, so long as they don't hassle the horses. We may also be able to accommodate your horse - please discuss this with us prior to booking. We look forward to welcoming you to Everything Horses ltd where you can enjoy one of the last pockets of peace left in the Swan Valley area. We are everythinghorsesltd on Facebook with current uploads to see more of the property and animals here. There is a red cone at the driveway to pull in to where you will be greeted, please leave any gates as you find them. We wish you happy travels campers

Just 1 hour from Perth, Harmony Retreat is a conscious camping space situated on 25 acres at the foothills of the Darling Range Escarpment just 10-15 minutes from Pinjarra and Dwellingup, 7 minutes from the southwest highway, and 3 minutes from Pinjarra-Williams Road. It's an easily accessible and picturesque private property with approximately 7 acres of forest, flushing toilet, hot outdoor shower, a winter creek, a swimmable spring-fed dam, and an abundance of bird and wildlife, nestled between cattle farms in the heart of the Peel region. There are friendly free-ranging chickens and Guinea fowl, a mischievous mini pig, friendly goats, sheep, and a family dog on site. The owners Michelle, Troy, and Carolyne live and work onsite (this is a working farm). THIS IS NOT A PLACE TO BOOK IF YOU INTEND TO PARTY. The camping area is easily accessed by most vehicles. There is a hot water outdoor shower and toilet available to use and within walking distance of each site. CHILDREN - The dam on the property is currently unfenced and has steep sides when the water line is low, therefore this property is not recommended for those with small and wandering children. We also asked that older children are supervised, so as not to vandalise property, nature, gardens and fire-pits (this has been a problem in the past). Friendly dogs are welcome, however, must be kept on a leash at all times, due to free-ranging chickens, livestock and wildlife on the property. There are no cooking facilities available. Therefore, you will need to be completely self-sufficient including cooker, kettle, esky, etc, and also bringing your own drinking water as the water from the taps comes from our spring-fed dam. We do ask that you follow local fire regulations with no outdoor open flames during fire bans. All rubbish and waste needs to be taken with you. However, Peppa the Pig will always appreciate your veggie scraps. Fires are permitted in designated fire pits during fire season. Anyone found having a fire during FIRE BANS will be reported to authorities and asked to leave the property immediately (we need to use firm words around this, as bushfire destroys homes and endangers lives). You can find details and learn a little more about what we do at here at hwcommunity.org

We have wild flowers all year round but the spring months bring an abundance of Orchids and wild flowers. Bush lovers will be inspired with plenty of wildlife about. You can have a camp fire in winter although you will need to bring some firewood, there's plenty of kindling, or you can purchase a bundle from us if you wish. The campsites are level and grassy and suits self-contained campers who bring their own camping toilet/shower, and drinking water supply. We are about an hour drive north of Albany and 300 kilometres south of Perth. The property is pretty close to the Stirling Range National Park, Porongurup National park, Frankland wine district and lake Poorrarecup. Wongin Mia makes an excellent base for exploring this picturesque area. Birdlife is plentiful including parrots, wedge tail eagles, red breasted wrens, Carnaby's and Boudin's, Night jars, Willy wagtails, Barking owls and Welcome swallows. And of course there's plenty of kangaroos and wallabies. This is a unique property where you will experience a true bush environment with seclusion and tranquillity. There are many places to walk or ride and explore. We feel honoured to be able to share this beautiful peace of paradise. Your dog is very welcome to camp with you.

Wongin Mia - 3912 Frankland-Cranbrook Road, Cranbrook Our property is a carbon farm which is a part of the Gondwana Link project. This is an environmental project which is endeavouring to create a green corridor from Augusta to the Nullarbor to allow the fauna to travel freely when migrating. Featuring 400 acres of revegetated bushland and 100 acres of remnant bush along a winter creek. It's a great place for bird watchers.
