We loved our experience. Ryan and Joanne are great hosts. The extra services they provide for campers are amazing. Would love to stay more regularly if it opens again.

Nice n flat plenty of room, unless someone wants to set up 5m from you despite there being loads of space to camp. It was still great. Loved the creek for kids and dogs. Nice touches of spit roast and ice creams

Cowalla Camping on the Moore River
They really have a great thing going here. Nicely set next to the river. Great for kids to spend the day exploring and riding their bikes. Dogs loving the sticks thrown into the river. Lamb on the spit, homemade ice cream. Was a great vibe and we would definitely look at returning.

We had a great time camping with our 2 year old. Sites were clear, clean and flat. Plenty of room, flushing toilet, walk/bike tracks and a little river to play in. The owners are lovely! Thanks for letting us star

We had a great long weekend away at Cowalla. Everyone had a great time including the dog! You camp right near the river and the river has lovely sandy banks and the water is nice and shallow. Highly recommend and the toilet was a bonus!

Great spot, was very busy being a long weekend. Will definitely visit again but will probably book for a mid week stay or normal weekend to avoid the crowds.

Location on the river is lovely, and bonus to have a flushing toilet. Dog friendly site. Easy directions to follow to get you to the camp. All sites right by the river with easy access which was nice. Rope swings set up for the kids. Few negatives include a confusing ‘pick your own spot’ mentality which is overwhelming and can lead to some areas becoming more cramped than others. Would benefit from set camp areas. Campers next door kept their generator on past 10:30pm which was disruptive when trying to get ‘back to nature’. Nice camp site over all.

Such a lovely spot with awesome owners who take the time to give you awesome advice and be so welcoming. The roast lamb cook up was a great idea and the warm, clear creek running along the property kept the kids occupied for hours.

What a gem! We loved visiting with Jo and Ryan. The dogs and kids really enjoyed the creek. The toilet is a lovely addition to the lovely camping space.

Cowalla Camping on the Moore River
We camped at the south end near the fenceline for two nights away from a few other campers, our pooch hardly noticed them.
Friday and Saturday were great weather but Sunday was due to be a scorcher so we headed off a bit earlier than usual.
Had a great 4WD trip down to the beach south of Ledge Point on Saturday afternoon for a swim, picnic and relax.
Looks like a few upgrades, including the the winter creek crossing since our last visit.
Keep up the good work Ryan & Jo!

Such a nice spot not far from Perth. Loved that we could drive to the beach for a swim then come back and relax next to the river. Great spot for family’s and dogs. Everyone was super friendly and the kids had ties best time. Thank you Jo for the crystal bed therapy my daughter received it was an overwhelming and enlightening experience for her.

We enjoyed camping at Cowalla camping. The hosts were friendly upon arrival and had saved our large group an area that was perfect for the long weekend. We enjoyed the river with the kids and the BMX track was a big hit. Facilities were clean and we would happily come stay again . Thanks heaps for a great camp 👌🏼

What a close getaway! Toilets and nice cold shallow but lovely river to take a dip in and cool down/relax. No down fall for the camp site at all!!! The stars are lovely at night and dog friendly!

Hi from Pauline and Adrian. We enjoyed a wonderful couple of nights at Cowalla camping over the Oz day long weekend. Loved the peaceful ambience, despite quite a few visitors. Appreciated the beautiful natural surrounds, both river and the plains.
The spit roasts gravy roll - were tasty as abd a nice way to meet and chat with other campers.

Special memories for both of us. We'll be back soon with more from our clans 😀

Cowalla Camping on the Moore River
An amazing spot with so many options to camp, all accessible to the Moore River. Whether you need complete shade or access to a lot of sun for your solar they have it. Lovely hosts who even put on a lamb spit for the Aus Day weekend. They were tested on Australia Day when a wildfire broke out on a neighbouring property only a few km away. Ryan sprung into action filling the pumps for the property line while Joanne came to inform campers of the situation and ensure we all knew our exit strategy if need be. Wasn't necessary in the end but great way to keep everyone calm. Would highly recommend for large groups (we had 12 adults and 11 kids) or small. Our kids started a cricket game in the main centre of the camp and had a number of other kids join with the parents spectating and providing vehicle light sources when it continued beyond sunset. Wouldn't get that at your average caravan park.

We thoroughly enjoyed the peace and simplicity of Cowella. Camped by the river which was shallow, being summer, but flowing so great for a cooling splash around. Directions clear. Lovely hosts.

We stayed at this place for 2 night it was lovely. The kids had so much fun played on the river which is right at the front our tent. Also the campsite got sink and tap water which is help to washing our dishes n the flush toilet as well. The host also very friendly. Hugh place for kids running around and ride a bike.

A fantastic spot, even in the heat of summer! Beautiful river, the kids keep themselves busy for days playing in the bush, dirt and water. Serenity for the parents and great to have a flushing loo. Ryan and Joanne are lovely and very helpful when things don’t go to plan. Can’t rate this spot highly enough.

There was no designated camping sites, so it was a free for all. It would be better to have sites marked, in my view. Apart from 2 flushing toilets (inside a tin shed), there were no other amenities of note. For the price we paid ($65 per night for 2 adults), you would get hot showers, a BBQ or kitchen facility plus much more at a caravan park. There was also no place for rubbish, you needed to take your own out. Except for recyclables. The sites were on the banks of a narrow river and the flowing water was great and a good place for kids. If the cost was half the price it would have been better value for money, unfortunately, overall it was disappointing and we wont return.

Magnificent hosts, we loved our second stay this time with our in-laws and will certainly be back. Great location next to the water, Ryan and Joanne looked after us and all other campers.

Overall we had a good time but there was way to many people for such small camping area unless you wanted to camp in the middle of a paddock. We had people setting up to us within 6 feet!!! No privacy and however there was flushing toilets 2 of them but with tat many people not great they were run down and infested with spiders. So for $140+ for 2 nights bit overpriced for what you got. Don’t mind spending the money but need to put a lower cap on the amount of people at the campground. And inforce the picking up of dog poo as they went doing it all the time. Even heard our neighbors say the forgot there dog bags and go oh well it be alright!
