Less than 1km in the other direction, you can discover the wonder of Jewel Cave, 10 mins to the world renowned Hamelin Bay Beach and 15 mins you can find yourself deep in the beauty of Boranup Forest.
The adventures in nature, fun and activities in this area are endless, and we are also blessed to have amazing local restaurants, cafes, wineries and local arts scenes in the region.
If you are looking to stay in a tranquil and peaceful setting away from the concrete and crowds, this may be the place for you. And please note, we are not a caravan park, far from it, we are rustic, humble, spacious and natural.

This campsite has access to a beautiful toilet/hot shower and drinking water supply in the workshop. There is also an outdoor shower in a water tank surround and an outside bath heated by a fire. Small camp kitchen with coffee machine, fridge, sink and bench also in the workshop.
Large outdoor movie screen, we generally screen family movies on Saturday night among the gum trees and strings of lighting. Please enquire if you are interested.
Campfires and bonfires permitted in winter. No fire from October to May.
While you're here check out the Greenough walk and cycle track that follows the river. It's only 3km to the beach, and you can walk or take your bike there (bike hire is available in town). We have canoes.

Quobba is a family operated, working pastoral station that borders 80km of Western Australia's spectacular coastline. The 187 000 acre station was established in 1898 and is bounded by Gnarloo Station to the North, Lake McLeod and Boolathana Station to the East/South and the Indian Ocean to the West.
The Meecham’s have been on Quobba Station for over 40 years, with Tim, Sara and family here for over 22 years. The Station runs approximately 10 000 damaras (South African meat sheep) after originally running merino (wooly) sheep.

While the Front Beach is perfect for walking along, collecting shells and watching the sunset, the beach itself goes straight to reef and is not suitable for swimming. The closest swimming/snorkelling locations are The Blowholes Beach (10km South) and 2 Mile (3km North).
*Please note: NO fishing/spearing is allowed on the Front Beach!

We are a working cattle and cropping farm just inland from beautiful Munglinup Beach on WA's scenic Fitzgerald coast. We offer a safe place for self-contained travellers you must have your own toilet facilities as we do not provide anything
We offer a flat area near our homestead, on grassed, level areas.
Enjoy stunning sunsets and sunrises, and a peaceful farm setting with distance ocean views. If it interests you, we're happy to show you around the farm whilst you're here. We calve from March on, so it's a bonus visiting at that time.
We are around 11 kms from Munglinup Beach and Oldfield River Estuary, 130 kms to Esperance and around 80kms to Hopetoun. The coast offers great swimming, snorkelling, fishing and surfing as well as plenty of opportunities for exploring on foot. There is also National Park and nature reserves nearby, where you can discover an abundance of wildlife, and wildflowers when in season.
We do not offer facilities here, just peace and quiet, so please ensure you are completely self contained, and leave no trace.

Horses and small animal experience available, ask on arrival. I recommend booking a walk with the horses the river for an hour.
This campsite has access to a beautiful toilet/hot shower and drinking water supply in the workshop. There is also an outdoor shower in a water tank surround and an outside bath heated by a fire. Small camp kitchen with coffee machine, fridge, sink and bench also in the workshop.
Large outdoor movie screen, we generally screen family movies on Saturday night among the gum trees and strings of lighting. Please enquire if you are interested.
Campfires and bonfires permitted in winter. No fire from October to May.
While you're here check out the Greenough walk and cycle track that follows the river. It's only 3km to the beach, and you can walk or take your bike there (bike hire is available in town). We have canoes.
Greenough Settlement/café and Wild Life Park close by.
Pets welcome on a lead. Off lead welcome after we had met and chatted. Dogs are a danger to all horses, guinea pigs, rabbits and chickens. Off lead without consultation will not be tolerated.
Please enter Devlin Pool Rd at the Northern end where it meets Jandanol Rd. We are the 3rd driveway.

Quobba is a family operated, working pastoral station that borders 80km of Western Australia's spectacular coastline. The 187 000 acre station was established in 1898 and is bounded by Gnarloo Station to the North, Lake McLeod and Boolathana Station to the East/South and the Indian Ocean to the West.
The Meecham’s have been on Quobba Station for over 40 years, with Tim, Sara and family here for over 22 years. The Station runs approximately 10 000 damaras (South African meat sheep) after originally running merino (wooly) sheep.
All campsites have access to:
- Fresh water (top up supplies only. Please bring sufficient water for your stay)
- Camp Kitchen (fridge, sink, Gas BBQ)
- Washing machine (takes 3x $2 coins)
- Common ablution block (flushing toilets and solar hot, bore water showers)
- Long drop toilets
- Daily rubbish collection (please bag your rubbish before putting in bins)
- Fire pits (fire wood sold in store, wood collection on Quobba NOT permitted. If you would like to have your own fire, it must be contained in your own fire pit. No ash/coals to be left on site.)

Pets are welcome however they must remain on a lead at all times. 1080 baits are used on the station.
*This is remote camping on a station, please come prepared!*
While the Front Beach is perfect for walking along, collecting shells and watching the sunset, the beach itself goes straight to reef and is not suitable for swimming. The closest swimming/snorkelling locations are The Blowholes Beach (10km South) and 2 Mile (3km North).
*Please note: NO fishing/spearing is allowed on the Front Beach!
Quobba is home to incredible marine, bird and wildlife including (but definitely not limited to):
Leatherback turtles; snorkel with the turtles all year round, watch them lay their eggs on the numerous beaches (~October - December) and enjoy seeing the baby hatchlings make their way back into the Indian Ocean (~January - February).

We made a late booking for Marie’s site and it was very convenient for us as a base to explore the local area. It was quiet and lots of animals on their hobby farm. Also a very friendly cat and dog kept us company.

We really loved staying at Rickety Gate. It is so peaceful and relaxing. The property is beautifully maintained and cared for. The four camping sites are spaced apart so ample room to reverse and relatively private. The whole experience was stress free. The filtered and pressured rainwater was a great feature. The caravan parked on mats situated in the lush lawn so no need for an awning mat. We were enthusiastically greeted by Russ on arrival but he then left us in peace unless we needed to contact him for anything.
An easy access dump point is situated in town just a short ride through the magnificent forest tourist drive. The surrounds are all very picturesque and close with plenty of choice for walking, beach and eating. We found the people of Denmark so friendly and welcoming without exception.
Highly recommended for child free and dog free campers.

Stayed 6 nights camping with friends and loved it. Friendly hosts, relaxed vibe, and we were happily left to ourselves. Beautiful stars at night, great location just outside Esperance but still an easy drive in. Can be windy — bring sand pegs (they do have some if needed). Highly recommend visiting Wharton Beach while you’re here. Would definitely stay again.
