The best private sites caravan sites in Western Australia

·

Hemmed in by beaches and turquoise waters, Western Australia is known for its coast, but the sprawling state has much more to offer. Venture inland to see deserts dotted with ancient monoliths and sun-baked vineyards; discover 19th-century gold rush towns; or hike through red rock gorges. Spring and fall bring the best weather for wine tasting or hiking through the national parks, while the summer heat is best enjoyed on the beach. Winter temperatures are still balmy enough to explore outdoors, with wildflowers blooming along the coast.

Perched along the Swan River and blessed with year-round sunshine, Perth brings the good life. In the city, wine tasting cruises, riverside barbecues, and parks will keep you outdoors, while the neighboring port town of Fremantle serves up beaches and ocean-fresh seafood. Holiday parks and camping sites dot the surrounding countryside, providing easy access for campers and caravans.

The Coral Coast stretches north of Perth, from Kalbarri and Shark Bay to Coral Bay and Exmouth. Sand melts into turquoise waters; bands of coral teem with tropical fish, manta rays, and whale sharks; and Cape Range National Park’s rocky gorges snake down to the ocean. Outdoor adventures abound, from snorkeling and kayaking the Ningaloo Reef to bushwalking and beach camping.

From Esperance on the south coast all the way up to Newman, the Golden Outback rolls out white-sand beaches, kaleidoscopic salt lakes, and rocky canyons. Whether off-roading in a four-wheel drive or winding through the outback in a caravan, there are ample opportunities for road tripping, with camping sites and holiday parks dotted throughout. Along the way, dive into Aussie’s gold rush heritage in Kalgoorlie and the Goldfields, walk Lucky Bay, and keep an eye out for wildflowers.

Rolling headlands, sloping vineyards, and seaside towns provide the perfect backdrop for wine tasting and coastal walks in the Margaret River region. Albany, Bunbury, and Bussleton are among the most popular places to stay, with access to the region’s many beaches, wineries, and camping spots.

Dusty red desert tracks wind their way through the Kimberley region to Broome and Kununurra, where the vast outback is home to otherworldly scenery and rich Aboriginal heritage. Get a taste of Australia’s wild west out here—drive the Gibbs River Road, stopping to hike through ancient gorges, swim in remote waterholes, and enjoy campfires under the stars.

We are closed from 1 Dec through to 31 March due to High Fire Risk. Our 43-hectare property is on the edge of the Darling Scarp behind the historical Fairbridge Village. Only 1 hour south of Perth, so it is close enough for a quick weekend getaway but far enough to enjoy the silence of the bush. There are elevated campsites with views west towards Mandurah and the Peel Estuary, northwest views toward Perth City, and three dams on the property. Guests must be fully self-contained, as no toilets or showers are available. Just amazing views :) Some locations are suitable for tents only, and some for caravans only. 4WD/AWDs are recommended as most sites are not easily accessible with a 2WD vehicle, especially during winter. Dog friendly. Campfires are permitted in designated areas with the host's approval (depending on fire restrictions). We are closed over the summer period due to increased fire risk.

Camp up in our bushland, with beautiful views of farmland. Enjoy sitting by the campfire, going on a bushwalk or riding your bicycle around the paddocks on dirt tracks. In the spring, there will be beautiful wildflowers to see, in the winter you will be able to walk through our creeks. TO BRING Please be self-contained with water and rubbish, however we do have Sheoak and Jam tree logs that you can collect for firewood and a compost toilet. Also please bring insect repellent, the spring can coincide with lots of mosquitos and flies. If you would like to bring your own firewood, you can buy some at the Bindoon roadhouse on the way. If you need access to drinking water and waste removal, there are facilities available at nearby caravan parks, such as Goomalling or Wongan Hills. We also provide non-potable water near the compost toilet for you to use for showers. ARRIVAL We are located in between Goomalling and Calingiri. Qualin farm sign in angled towards the Goomalling side, so could be difficult to see if driving from Calingiri. Drive slowly on approach of the driveway entry, as it on a corner. At the end of the driveway we have an information board to assist you in finding your spot as well as signs. If you need any help and would like to be welcomed to your spot, please let us know. PHONE RECEPTION During your drive, there can be limited phone reception, however, all campsites have some reception from most phone providers. If you do not have reception at the end of the driveway and need assistance, simply drive up the gravel road to the top of the hill (a right turn from the shed). THINGS TO DO IN THE AREA Bindoon bakehouse or Toodyay bakery are great places to stop for a snack or lunch on your drive from Perth. Both locations are approximately 1 hour from our farm. Bindoon also has established free mountain biking trails. New Norcia is an interesting historical town with museums, galleries and tours. It is a 40 minute drive from our farm. Goomalling has a lovely coffee shop called Lot 39 store and cafe. It is open weekdays and the bakery is open weekends. Check out the Goomalling and Victoria Plains website for things to do in our area, such as walking trails: https://www.visitgoomalling.com.au/ https://www.victoriaplains.wa.gov.au/

Rosa Glen, WA · 12 sites · Tents, RVs
Hello, welcome to Rosa Glen Farm in Margaret River. The farm ground campsites are for those who are looking to escape with no power, no water and no facilities and little mobile coverage if you are not with Telstra. Campers need to be fully self contained. We are a biodynamic winery and farm, our vines were already established when we purchased the land just over 3 years ago and some of the first planted in the region. The farm is a working farm and well.. a massive work in progress. Our passion is the land, the environment, making good wine, listening to music, eating good food and sharing all of this with our community. We are opening up our farm to share with like minded souls who share the same passions as us (our community). Over the years we have started to learn about the secret spots on our property. The ones which are secluded, capture beautiful pieces of light at certain times of the day, where the black cockatoos love to rest on the branches of the gum trees, the areas where weeping peppermints create a haven and the frequencies of the frogs elevate at certain times of the year and times of the day are so loud that you cant hear yourself think. As a result we have several spots on our property we would love to share with like minded people who have a love for nature, music and wine. PLEASE BE AWARE WE HAVE NO FACILITIES such as toilets, showers and water. Our region 'Margaret River' is famous for wine but there are so many other things that make this place special. A wild but beautiful coastline uninhibited by people, karri forest, caves, mountain bike trails and a 120km coastal walk. We are also known for surfing and close by are a number of world famous breaks including Surfers Point which is located 20 minutes from the farm. Closer to the farm you can enjoy a short walk to a beautiful winery called SI Vintners, drive to The Berry Farm or the quirky town of Witchcliffe. At Witchcliffe you will find Darnell's General Store which has a gift shop (The Shed), cellar door (Amato Vino), coffee shop (Witchy Brews) and fantastic pub (Dear Darnells), newly opened McHenry Hohnen Vintners wine bar and vintage stores which it has become renown for.

‼️ THE RIVER IS FLOWING NICELY AGAIN THANKS TO THE ABUNDANCE OF RAIN WE GOT. LOOKS REALLY REFRESHING FOR SOME ROVER ACTIVITIES ‼️ Murray Valley Camping features campsites that are completely open in nature. Each site is close to the Murray River and is surrounded by nature, so you truly feel far away from the rest of the world. The property is close to the famous Bibbulmun track, with Harvey and Boddington equal distances away, so options to explore the region easily. Campers can go for walks along the river, relax, and enjoy the sounds of nature. Throw your kayak in for a paddle. Throw a line in and try your luck at fishing. As the day slips away, catch a beautiful sunset, as you toast marshmallows by the campfire (outside of fire restriction times). There are no toilets or amenities, so all campers need to be fully self-contained in that respect, with their own camp toilet and water, and we ask you to take all waste when you go. There’s also little to no cell reception at the sites. There is background noise from the nearby conveyer belt that goes on and off randomly. Some people take it as soothing white noise while others think it’s overbearing. Pet-friendly, so you're welcome to bring your four-legged friend along. Unplug from everyday life, escape and reconnect with friends and family in nature.

THE DEPT - DPIRD - Agriculture - has advised us to stop campers bringing wood onto our property due to the outbreak of the SHOT HOLE BORER. It would be devastating if this dreadful bug should come this far. We appreciate your co-operation. Pinegrove is a small property of 107 acres nestled in the forest away from traffic and suburbia, 14 kilometers off the Brookton Highway. We run Merino sheep and have pure bred Border Collies for sheep work and dog trialing, which is Ivan's sport . It's a natural bush block with cleared areas. We welcome campers and people wanting to park their caravan or RV. Campfires are permitted (except when fire bans are on). Free firewood to collect. We ask that campers do not use the bush as a toilet please, this is not acceptable and please do not empty caravan toilets on any part of our property please. There is a toilet in the shed at the Homestead or please bring a portable toilet, We do have to limit the use of the toilet if our water supply runs low as we depend on rainwater for all our needs. We appreciate campers to be self contained if possible. Well behaved dogs are welcome, they should be on a lead if coming anywhere near the sheep or Homestead please. There are no swimming spots at our place but there is a pool in town which is 30 minutes away. Brookton has a very good Hotel in town called the Bedford Arms which has a great reputation for their meals - you won't go away hungry ! There is plenty to see and do in the area such as Boyagin Rock you can climb, we are only 30 minutes from Brookton, 40 minutes from Beverley and about 45 minutes from York. You are also welcome to watch host Ivan training the sheepdogs!

Winters coming and its the best time to be here, with hard stand parking throughout and blazing campfires by the river, book now! We have 3 beautiful and secluded sites to offer, right in the heart of the Dwellingup State Forest, 1 of them on the banks of the Murray River. All sites here enjoy a minimum of 100 metres separation. We love all animals here at Nanga River Retreat and we'd love for you to bring yours along (Remember to book our pet friendly site – ‘River Camp’, and dont forget to bring your little yellow bags please). We also enjoy an abundance of wildlife traffic through the property. We would love to see all the Witches, Wiccans, and other Weirdos out there, we encourage you to book in for a spell. (pun intended) You'll fit right in. 🧙‍♀️ We invite discreet devotees of herbs, and mushrooms, to visit for a while, you will absolutely love it here, with privacy you just cannot get at the park 🤙 Come and find yourself, or maybe lose yourself, down by the river in Dwellingup, forest getaways dont get much better. Please Note; Loud drunkenness, anti-social behaviour, and rude misconduct will lead to eviction without refund, and reporting to Hipcamp. Also, no off-roading. No motor bikes, quads, buggies, or any other form of self-powered transport in the dirt. In-fact while you're here, any sort of hooning on the property will lead to eviction without refund and reporting to Hipcamp. So folks, the idea of this campsite and indeed of the entire property, is that it's intended as a tranquil and quiet retreat for those that wish it to be so. Thanks for understanding. A small advice for those bringing children, in fact for anyone that intends to swim in or be beside the water, this is a wild and unfenced river access area and all care should be taken in supervision. Please see the site rules. One more thing, feel free to contact us via Hipcamp if you're interested in staying here but for some reason fall outside of the site parameters listed on this add, we're pretty flexible and in most cases will be willing to accommodate your needs. Remember, this is camping by the river, not glamping by the pool! We hope to hear from you soon, and we know you're going to love your stay whatever your endeavour while you're here. Seeya soon, Shane n Deeg.

There is a small creek running threw the middle of our property and 2 farm dams. Drummonds nature reserve is not far away and has 2 clay pan wetlands and some unusual native flowers. Our camp site is nestled amongst the wandoo and York gum trees near a small winter creek. There is classic wheatbelt cropping happening in the surrounding paddocks. This is a parkland area, with both trees and open areas. It does have quite a bit of wildlife as in Kangaroos, possums and bird life. This camping area is a couple of km's (walking distance) to state forest with The Munda bindi bike trail and Bibbulmun walking track. Campfires permitted within local regulations - not over summer. Please do not drive around the block as there are other campers. Stick to the tracks. If you want to 4x4, there is state forest up the end of the road. Pets welcome but please ask prior to booking as we have livestock. Must be kept on a lead when approved by host. There are no amenities here, campers must be self contained and leave no trace. If you are looking for a real rural experience with beautiful forest to wake up in this is the place. Close enough to Donnybrook if you need it but hidden away as well. Stay on a working small mixed farm just out of Tammin, where sustainability is a priority and the environment is valued. For this reason, we only allow a very limited number of visitors at any one time. We're waiting for our first rains in March/April so that our world goes green again! We're not far from town, so you can bring your tennis racquets and have a free hit on the hardcourts (even at night), or bring your bikes, especially the kids so they can ride around on farm tracks. Plus there are wonderful playgrounds in nearby Cunderdin and Kellerberrin. Tammin is central to almost everything in the Wheatbelt and this year there are some great events happening nearby. Checkout the Central Wheatbelt Visitor Centre for a rundown of what is on where. The Wheatbelt is now well serviced with RV dumps (closest 10kms) and EV Charging at Northam and Merredin. The A Class Charles Gardner Reserve is just up the road and you can always find something special flowering throughout the year. In August and September the wildflowers are out and it's especially beautiful. We have a small fish farm on-site so you can arrange a tour, or if available, fresh fish for dinner. Currently we don't have any available but you can ask Fred about his Metal workshop and see some of his artwork around the property. We have sheep and guard alpacas. If you want to meet them or the alpacas up close and personal (across the fence). Let us know and we'll arrange it! *** We also have a small mob of Red PollxDexter cattle. They live behind the only Electric fence on the property. We'll remind you about it when we greet you. This year the Merino ewes that we breed for wool will start lambing from around May 7th. Around this time, we don't usually allow any dogs to visit. If you are thinking of bringing your dog at any time please check with us first. ***We love our animals and so we need to be vigilant with Biosecurity. Please ensure any clothing or footwear you have with you has been thoroughly cleaned and is free from any soil or manure. Unfortunately you cannot visit if you have been outside Australia in the past 7 days.

1917 Federation Cottage, Grassy Orchard, and Horse Paddocks The property features paddocks shaded by large, lemon-scented gum trees and a grassy orchard filled with citrus, stone fruit, and nut trees. This is a lovely, quiet property just a 4-minute drive to Mundaring Village. We’re within walking distance of the Railway Reserves Heritage Trail. We love to share our property with those that are looking for a quiet self contained get away, we are not a caravan park — bring your bicycles and join the track in Sawyers Valley. Head east to connect with the Kep Track or continue to Mount Helena and Lake Leschenaultia, or ride west down the hill to Bellevue. Black Cockatoo Reserve, a naturally beautiful bushwalk, is only a 5-minute stroll away. It’s also an easy drive to several charming hills pubs, including Mount Helena Tavern, Mundaring Hotel, Mundaring Weir Hotel, Mahogany Inn, and Hemingway's. Wonderful cafés are located within a short walk, cycle, or drive. Well-behaved dogs are welcome on a lead. We have free-ranging chickens and horses in the paddocks, so dogs must be kept under control around these animals. Pets are welcome to stay, provided they are respectful of all our animals. Our very friendly Kelpie, Millie, will be happy to make friends! All our pets are well-fed and cared for — please don’t feed them without checking with us first. Please ensure all gates on the property are kept closed.

Nestled in the heart of beautiful Boranup Forest, this is a very peaceful, private quiet and safe setting for our two campsites. There is an abundance of birdlife here, including blue wrens and red/white tailed cockatoos. Two separate campsites are available both with access to bore water and both offering Privacy from each other: Jarrah, the larger of the two sites, and Marri, the smaller one (note: the surface is slightly sandier at this site). About the Area: Enjoy a 600m stroll down the track to the Boranup Art Gallery and Café (closed Mondays). A short drive to the stunning Contos Beach (note: this road can be quite corrugated), and the amazing Lake Cave where you descend a staircase through an ancient sinkhole, known as a doline, into a sunken forest to reach this magnificent cave, which features dripping formations and a beautifully reflective underground lake.
