A very quiet site with a good collection of trees, a dam, a spot for an open fire and a breezy long-drop dunny. Easy 2WD access and close to flat camping zone - bring your own water supply and power. The host was very relaxed - didn’t come to visit us, so the whole vibe was private.

It was very easy to get there; it’s a lovely, peaceful spot, and the view of the dam is stunning. We really enjoyed it and hope to return soon.
This really is a special place among the olive trees, nice and private with just one spot available. We got the chance to say Hi to Lisa and John who are lovely people. It was also the perfect spot to camp and then go and visit the towns around the area which we thoroughly enjoyed. The drop toilet was a big bonus also, would definitely recommend 10/10

We loved our peaceful stay at kangamia Dam. The directions on arrival to get to site could be made a little clearer by suggesting turn left when enter gate and follow Kangamia sign down the bamboo marked path to site area. But other than that our experience was good.
Sadly we never met Lisa which was a shame too.

We had lovely couple of nights here. Our dog had fun watching the rabbits come out at sunset while we listened to all the birds. Private little getaway under the stars, very relaxing.

This was the most peaceful place I’ve stayed, exactly what I was looking for.
Nobody within eye or ear shot, nothing but relaxing bird sounds.
Basically off grid, no phone signal to speak of, and a classic outdoor bush loo, but who cares!

First week in December was a great time camping in Lisa's land. Birds singing, water in the pond was warm. Our dog Zena was swimming all day. Compost toilet is a great addition. Thank you for letting us to stay.

We just loved staying here. Gorgeous place just outside Balingup. Very peaceful. The dam was only a few metres away and we swam in it every day. It was a real bonus to have the pit toilet also. Would definitely recommend.

We absolutely enjoyed the peacefulness of this site, the variety of birds (including a blue wren thst visited us everyday!), and the abundance of greenery. The kids enjoyed having a paddle in the dam. Owner Lisa was a lovely host. Just the perfect long weekend, will definitely be back.
We enjoy caravanning at Dam view as we have the camp area all to ourselves. An added extra is a clean drop toilet within the vicinity. Area is reasonably flat and very clean.
Gorgeous surroundings, lots privacy, only camp site and a toilet. Was perfect.

We had a really pleasant couple of nights at Kangamia, set up amongst the olive trees and overlooking the dam and Bamboo forest. The bird life was abundant, and otherwise it was very quiet and peaceful. The facilities were minimal (compost loo and swim in the dam for bath) but we had our own water and cooking gear in the camper - so all good for food needs. The property is full of mature orchards which are doing their own thing, but great to wander through; the vege chook area being kept up and doing well with permaculture principles - all good to consider as we are setting up our own. Thanks to the hosts for sharing their space!

very private and secluded area. beautiful area with lots of trees around for shades.
Beautiful location and very peaceful. The walks around the property were amazing and damn was wonderful for the dogs to cool off in. Lovely to have chairs and a table set up by the damn to enjoy coffee in the morning and a glass of wine in the evening.

A beautiful spot for hardcore campers and nature lovers. Wouldn’t recommend to people who usually camp in caravan parks unless you have your own toilet and shower, as the pit toilet is very basic with a curtain for door, and the shower is a water bag hanging in a tree. We loved swimming in the dam to cool off, spotting blue wrens and black cockatoos, and being able to camp with our dog. Nearby Balingup with its vibrant main street (and coffee!) is only 10 mins drive away.

This campsite is really peaceful and quiet with a lot of birdlife. We had a great time there.
The site is in a really picturesque area 10mins from Balingup
Over 3 decades of work planting trees has gone into the property - and the site near the dam is perfect
The hosts live on the property and are very chilled and welcoming - however you forget that anyone lives there and the privacy is 100% and quiet - will definitely be booking again soon
And the only complaint is that we should have stayed a week not a weekend - kudos to John and Lisa and thanks for allowing us to share your creation -

Beautiful spot to unwind and just enjoy nature! Fab location close to lots of spots to explore. 13ft caravan fit but you wouldn’t want to be too much bigger. Leveling blocks needed, but that’s why we carry them!! Lisa was a wonderful host and we will be back again. Just fabulous
