The owners Michelle, Troy, and Carolyne live and work onsite (this is a working farm). THIS IS NOT A PLACE TO BOOK IF YOU INTEND TO PARTY. The camping area is easily accessed by most vehicles. There is a hot water outdoor shower and toilet available to use and within walking distance of each site. CHILDREN - The dam on the property is currently unfenced and has steep sides when the water line is low, therefore this property is not recommended for those with small and wandering children. We also asked that older children are supervised, so as not to vandalise property, nature, gardens and fire-pits (this has been a problem in the past). Friendly dogs are welcome, however, must be kept on a leash at all times, due to free-ranging chickens, livestock and wildlife on the property. There are no cooking facilities available. Therefore, you will need to be completely self-sufficient including cooker, kettle, esky, etc, and also bringing your own drinking water as the water from the taps comes from our spring-fed dam. We do ask that you follow local fire regulations with no outdoor open flames during fire bans. All rubbish and waste needs to be taken with you. However, Peppa the Pig will always appreciate your veggie scraps. Fires are permitted in designated fire pits during fire season. The Camp - Wave Rock Short Stay is located 2 km from the Hyden town site and 2 km from Wave Rock. Both locations are easily accessible by car or by using the walking/cycling trail. To access the walking trail please head back to Aylmore Road, turn right and when you reach the intersection cross the highway to meet the walking/cycling trail. Left will take you to town and right to Wave Rock. Please be mindful that our property neighbours a working sheep and cropping farm. Wave Rock is a granite cliff 15 metres high and 110 metres long. It’s rounded-like shape has been caused by weathering and water erosion which has undercut the base and left a rounded overhang. Water from the springs running down the rock during wetter months dissolves minerals adding to the colouring of the wave. In 1960, crystals from Hyden Rock were dated at being 2700 million years old, which are amongst the oldest in Australia. A 15 minute drive north of Wave Rock you will see a “giant” lurching out of the bushland. This massive granite rock formation is known as the Humps – grab your hat, sun screen and water bottle and explore! Be sure to visit Mulka's Cave. The name “Mulka” comes from an Aboriginal Legend associated with the cave. As you enter the cave (take a few moments for your eyes to adjust) and look at the walls and note the many hand stencils believed to representing adults and children. Close to Lake Magic, a large local salt lake, Denis Collins constructed a 20m round, 6m deep swimming pool-like gypsum pond whose buoyancy and therapeutic properties are greater than those of the Dead Sea.

The Camp - Wave Rock Short Stay is located 2 km from the Hyden town site and 2 km from Wave Rock. Both locations are easily accessible by car or by using the walking/cycling trail. To access the walking trail please head back to Aylmore Road, turn right and when you reach the intersection cross the highway to meet the walking/cycling trail. Left will take you to town and right to Wave Rock. Please be mindful that our property neighbours a working sheep and cropping farm. Wave Rock is a granite cliff 15 metres high and 110 metres long. It’s rounded-like shape has been caused by weathering and water erosion which has undercut the base and left a rounded overhang. Water from the springs running down the rock during wetter months dissolves minerals adding to the colouring of the wave. In 1960, crystals from Hyden Rock were dated at being 2700 million years old, which are amongst the oldest in Australia. A 15 minute drive north of Wave Rock you will see a “giant” lurching out of the bushland. This massive granite rock formation is known as the Humps – grab your hat, sun screen and water bottle and explore! Be sure to visit Mulka's Cave. The name “Mulka” comes from an Aboriginal Legend associated with the cave. As you enter the cave (take a few moments for your eyes to adjust) and look at the walls and note the many hand stencils believed to representing adults and children. Close to Lake Magic, a large local salt lake, Denis Collins constructed a 20m round, 6m deep swimming pool-like gypsum pond whose buoyancy and therapeutic properties are greater than those of the Dead Sea.

It was nice. Up on Goat Mountain, the view of the rolling hills meeting in the valley was lovely. Kids loved the animals and birds. The visit of goats and alpacas to the camp-site was fun for a pet. Sadly the weather turned next day and soaked us, but that's nature. Only an overnighter to test the new camper trailer, so a few extra nights for next time. Happy to go back. Thanks for letting us stay on you property Jane. Great set up.

Weekend Trip to Molloy Holiday Park - Nature Awaits

We had a long drive and arrived late but Denise and Andrew were so welcoming. The campground was so clean and all the facilities were perfect. The river dicks are right there and it's layed out very well. Being able to feed the kangaroos was a highlight for my daughter. I highly recommend this spot. Ryan from Toronto, Canada

Peaceful. Busy but still secluded. We stayed in powered site 9 overlooking the estuary. The staff were AMAZING prior to arrival especially the manager Shannon (I hope that’s her name) and Tiff.

2 nights at Rose’s Reserve

We had such a relaxing stay at this beautiful campsite. It’s surrounded by nature in every direction, birdsong in the mornings, peaceful bush walks just steps away, and a real sense of calm throughout the whole property. The hosts were incredibly accommodating and genuinely attentive, making sure everything was comfortable. If you’re looking for a place to unwind, reconnect with nature, and feel truly welcomed, this campsite is an absolute gem. We will definitely be returning!

2 nights at Molloy Holiday Park - Nature Awaits

I’ve done a lap and a half of this country and this is one of my fav caravan parks. Spacious sites, on the river, great amenities, heaps of friendly wildlife, you can literally give a kangaroo and it’s Joey pat while the Joey is on the pouch. The bird mafia of ducks, parrots, magpies and kookaburras will raid you though so keep on eye on those sneaky little buggers. Staff were awesome. Recommend getting a powered site they are bigger and provide more sun if you need solar. Unpowered section is nice but under trees and pretty intimate with your neighbors.
