Chris's place by the river is beautiful. The sound of the river and the birds was breathtaking. The grounds were extremely neat and tidy and the little hut was very quirky and interesting. We sat in there one afternoon when it got quite windy so it was very handy. Chris was very quick responding to any communication and very friendly.

The campsite was big enough for our group with 4 tents and three cars. Robert was so generous, providing us firewood, power, a floodlight and he let us stay in the shed as it was non-stop rain. He checked in with us frequently to make sure we were okay. Reception is very limited. Two friendly dogs kept us company.

We had a wonderful stay at Kiernan Park Equestrian Centre. Being surrounded by such beautiful countryside, horses, roos and rabbits, it was beyond relaxing. We had a couple of great nights around the fire too. Jenny was the perfect host, taking care of us and chatting whilst our doggos played. Jenny's doggo, Whiz, is gorgeous. We'll definitely be back when we're exploring the Yarra Valley again. Highly recommended.

Such a beautiful serene setting, with lots of grass to relax on, tables to sit under trees and a lovely river flowing past. Chris made us feel so welcome, and we loved the addition of the pretty river house, which we sat in when the weather was a bit too windy. Although it’s part of a berry farm, the farms are nicely scattered across the landscape, so it never feels like you’re inside one. Our campsite was well away from the farm sections, giving us great privacy and a real sense of solitude. A special mention to Janaka, the manager, who was incredibly welcoming and always available if we needed anything. He dropped off a huge pile of firewood for us and took the time to share his knowledge about the local wildlife and how the farm operates. His hospitality really made the experience even better. It’s a peaceful, family-friendly place surrounded by beautiful nature — perfect for anyone looking to relax and reconnect with the outdoors. Highly recommended!

Weekend Trip to Boulder Brook Valley

We loved camping at the Secret Garden (16 mates plus a dog!, all tent camping). So close to the city but with a secluded kind of vibe. Flat ground for tents was limited but we all made do just fine. The area and grounds are lovely and well maintained. BBQ and tables worked a treat. We didn't end up using any power on site so cannot comment but there was solar and a battery on site. The owner was extremely helpful in the lead up and very accomodating. Sunsets and plane spotting were fantastic. It was still a little chilly for us to get in the water but the spot itself was stunning. We'll be back!
