Close to two sweet coastal towns, Eden 7minutes and Pambula 15minutes drive. Lots of bird and insect life along with our little herd of sheep and geese. We are currently developing permaculture systems for our home and garden and part of the system is we have a composting toilet for campers! We love animals and we are happy for you to bring your dog only if it is friendly with other dogs because we have 4 friendly dogs here. As long as you keep your dog on a lead as we have livestock. Welcome to Wombats Perch, a 4 acre block with access to the beach 150m from the bottom boundary. We are located at the North end of Aslings Beach in a private setting bordering the Beowa National Park. To the North is Beowa National park, bush that runs all the way to Pambula river mouth, walking and bike tracks are accessible from the camp. Sea eagles nest across the valley, bell birds ping all day and whales can be spotted whilst cooking toasties on the fire. To the East and South are water views right across the Eden Bay to the light house towers. We offer multiple camping options , 4 x 4 access is recommended but during dry conditions not essential, especially if tenting. 2 flat areas for trailers, vans and small caravans are available. Depending on the set ups we can accommodate 2 to 8 people easily. We have a Jayco Swan, the sites are perfectly suited to similar set ups. BYO water at this stage. Swimming, snorkeling and fishing are all easily accessed on foot, we have spotted lots and lots of fish, rays and Banjo sharks. The block is located in a private estate, with limited neighbors and a peaceful setting, we ask that campers respect this during their stay. Located just 5kms North of Eden, it is private and secluded to stay and hide away for weeks and easy enough to venture into town for dinner when cooking feels optional. Pambula's famous oysters and vibrant shopping are 12 mins North , Merimbula and its holidays activities and excellent restaurant 15 to 20 mins. Wombats Perch is named after the resident wombats of the area, they keep to them selves but you may find some skillfully perched square poos around the camp. Please note, ticks are common in the area. Best to pack a freeze pen or Lyclear cream. We hope you enjoy your stay.

Some of the species that call the river home are, Flathead, Bream, Luderick, Whiting, Estuary Pearch, Jewfish, Mullet and Flounder. If you bring your kayaks, canoe or roof top tinny the river is very picturesque with unique photo opportunities and an abundance of wildlife. You can head upstream for a way but if you're feeling up to it, it's about a 2.5-hour paddle (at a slow steady pace) to the mouth of the river where Davidsons whaling station is located, as well as the view across the bay to Eden. If you time it right, you can go and return with the tide. Two kayaks and life jackets are provided with all bookings so that people without their own equipment are able to explore the pristine waterway. There is a large firepit near the river that may be utilized as long as there is no total fire ban in effect. Easy to find, didn't see Jodie but Brett was very friendly and helpful. Nice lawn area for parking van on and amenities all good. Site is well cared for. Nice and quite although there were a few groups staying there. Nice addition the vegetable garden we were encouraged to use and the worm farm for scraps. We enjoyed our stay.

Hand delivered fresh oysters direct to the site! We stayed by the riverside in a gorgeous spot largely to ourselves - each site is very generous in spacing, and the nearby common area shed offers shelter and a heater in inclement weather (not that we needed it!). The river was cold, and mullet offer a bit of sport for a more competent angler than I, and the trees offered plenty of shade!

My mum and I stayed in one of the glamping So Good over the weekend while we visited friends in Pambula, and had the best time! The property is absolutely gorgeous, Bec & Stu are so much fun, and the facilities they’ve built are just magical. 100% recommend.

We absolutely loved camping with Jenny and Arthur. Arthur met us on the highway and escorted us to our site. The site was huge and level with mown green grass. For a small additional price, you can access potable water and power, which we did not need on our weekend trip, but is great for those planning a longer stay. The river ran up to the site. Unfortunately, the weather was too cold for swimming, but the water looked inviting. The toilet was a long drop, but it was immaculate, with tap water for washing your hands. The wildlife was diverse, and spotting the different birds and animals was a fun activity. I would thoroughly recommend Kiah Wilderness Camp.

We originally booked the paddock but changed to riverside and happy we did. Milingandi station is perfect. I loved the creek and the fresh herbs from Jodie’s vege patch. A very special touch. Only wish I could have stayed longer ! Hope to come back.

Gorgeous well maintained open space with incredible lush green lawn. Spectacular views of the river. Hosts are welcoming, responsive and friendly. We will be back for sure.

We loved the paddock - great spot for a few nights. Definitely recommend. Dump point, bins, power and water available. Affordable prices and great bang for your buck. Will revisit if ever travelling through again!

This was a lovely little hipcamp with plenty of room on each site. It was also located very close to town which made it very convenient. We would definitely stay here again.
