Pollys paddock is named after a beautiful palomino horse named Polly, who lived here as a loved member of our family into her early 40s.
Polly's Paddock is a quiet camping area on the Mornington Peninsula. We are a couples, mates , friends , camping (adults only), no children, for safety reasons with a dam close by.
Only 15 minutes from Mount Martha village and Mornington, restaurants, amazing wineries, weekend markets, cafes and golf courses.
We are 10 minutes from swimming beaches and 20 minutes from surf beaches.
This is a 5.5 acre block, consisting of the host’s residence, garden and parkland. Polly's Paddock is half of the block.
We offer 2 flat caravan or tent sites, both with drinking water , 1 with limited power , the other no power.
There is also a site with a glamping tent set in the garden.
The 6 metre round tent sleeps 2, with a queen size bed, linen provided.
It is carpeted, has a fridge, kettle and BBQ. Just pack your toothbrush, clothes, food and drinks.
All 3 sites have the use of a shared composting toilet, and out doors bath.
For a refreshing experience there is an outdoor, open air hot shower overlooking the dam.
Close by is a spacious shelter/shed with tables, chairs and a rustic kitchen area with sink and heater.
Well behaved dogs are accepted on the caravan sites, but we ask that you please discuss with us prior to booking. Dogs are to be kept on a lead at all times, wild ducks and the properties own poultry wander here.
No dogs on the glamping tent site.
Campfires are allowed during the cooler months, left to the hosts discretion for safety reasons. We supply a fire pit. BYO wood.
No fires apart from in the fire pits provided are to be lit. Fires are to be extinguished before going to bed or leaving.

What a nice place. Just an hour from home but it really nice for a short weekend getaway. We usually only drive through Bunyip area. So much to see and do in the area. The sites offer an amazing view. The sunset was amazing too. The host are amazing too. We will be back and explore the farm a bit more. See you next time!

I just finished my second stay at this campsite and will definitely be back again. The grounds are always spotlessly clean, well maintained, and really easy to get to, which makes arriving and setting up super straightforward.
Hosts Shelley and Craig are consistently friendly, accommodating, and genuinely helpful. Last night my stove ignition failed and I was stuck without a way to cook, but they completely saved me by lending me a match at short notice. It’s small things like that which show how much they care about their guests.
If you’re looking for a clean, convenient, and well‑run campsite with great hosts, this is an easy recommendation.

We stayed at Saltwood for the weekend and it was magical. Tessa and Sam are wonderful hosts, the sites are private and quiet and the bushland surrounding them is full of birds and wildlife.
The shower and toilet was clean and the water runs hot. There is also a mini kitchen area with a toaster, kettle and microwave.
My daughters enjoyed using the hammocks and wooden go karts down the hill. But the star of the show was the flying fox!!! Hours of fun was had.
We were sad to leave and will be making this a regular camping experience, being an hour away from home it’s easy to pack up and get away from it all whenever the weather is good.

We LOVED our stay here. Amanda is such a cool host. The rustic, farmhouse-style kitchen and bathroom areas truly made us so happy. The tea lights lighting the pathway to the outdoor shower and bath were such a special touch. This is 1000x better than staying in a large campsite. The lighting made it feel cosy and the well maintained land felt like a home away from home. We felt very safe and had privacy. Also so happy that dogs are allowed and only on leash, which suited us perfectly. We stayed in our campervan and had everything we needed. We only wished we didn’t have to set off so early in the morning. We’ll definitely be back! Thank you ☺️☺️

Weekend Trip to Salt Wood Glamping
My girlfriend and I were here to celebrate our anniversary and we wouldn’t have had it a different way! The area was well secluded with a top notch glamping tent. We were able to explore the area with everything being pretty well within 10 minutes of the camper, it made life even easier. I highly recommend this glamper and property!
