We were there for Easter 2025, and Darren and Louise made us very welcome. It's exactly what it said in the description, and exactly what we were after. We had no issues with the tents and on stretchers, but the ground may be an issue if you were sleeping directly on it. Nice separation between sites. Benji the dog had fun getting in the dam and sniffing through the bush. All up, a very enjoyable time. We will be looking to return for another stay.

Super friendly hosts - Darren and Louise! Kudos to Darren and Louise for keeping their property very genuine as possible. The landscape and site was more than we expected. Very kid friendly. Darren was informative when explaining about his property. The short walk to the dam and the farm animals on their property was a highlight for my kids. Our day trips to Inglewood and nearby towns was amazing! We also had a full day at the famous Bendigo festival which was a treat in itself. Wishing Darren and Louise the best, and hope to see them again! :)

Absolutely loved staying here thank you so much Chrissy. The dogs are amazing and well behaved dogs if you don’t have dogs or don’t like them don’t stay because they just want pats and to keep guard. It’s super close to town if you get a chance stop into eagle hawk bakery the old one any pie from there is amazing.

6 nights at Rodborough Vale

Nice campsite at Weeping Willow - saw a Platypus. We hired a van from Brenton on Camplify who delivered it and set it up for us, so that when we arrived tired and late, it was ready to go. Clean toilets up at the weir and one on the farm. We took our Joolca and had nice hot showers taking water from the river. We had a rope swing to amuse the kids and a campfire to cook on. The setting was nice with the Corellas visiting every night. Would definitely recommend and you can see why it’s a highly rated Hipcamp.

2 nights at Lancefield Lake's A WETLANDS WONDER

Everything, including the 1 hour drive from Melbourne, the beautiful spacious surroundings, the incredible views in every direction, the lakes with all of the associated wildlife. The spacious, modern super clean bathroom and availability of drinking water was a bonus for my (now happy camper) wife and having a nice big fire pit provided with an unlimited supply of fire wood available was a nice bonus for me. The fantastic, helpful and generous host Jemillia and the venue manager Arron were fantastic. I must say nothing was a problem at this Hipcamp site, we loved our experience at Lancefield Lakes and will certainly be returning.

We had a great night camping at creek flat. The site was easy to access and right next to a beautiful bend in the creek. Lots of friendly sheep around. Mark was very hospitable and even loaned us a fishing rod when we told him we'd forgotten to pack ours. We'll be back!

Weekend Trip to Singing Tree

Stayed at bush hideaway over the weekend and it was a very pleasant stay. Felt very remote and secluded even though town was only 5 minutes away with local foodworks. There was a little bit of road noise, but we were well sheltered by the bush and it wasn't very frequent traffic so all was well. Louise was very nice and made us fell welcomed. Can't recommended highly enough and I'll be back 100%.

Repeat visitors to Blair's amazing spot. Surrounded by gum trees, private and peaceful. Great facilities with the cabin, its verandah, an outdoor toilet and shower with hot water. Couldn't recommend more.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at this lovely property and I must say, it exceeded all expectations. From the moment we arrived, it was clear that this was the perfect destination for a peaceful and relaxing getaway. One of the highlights of our stay was the stunning view, which added a magical touch to every moment. Whether it was enjoying a quiet morning coffee or watching the sunset in the evening. Lastly, I must commend our host, who was incredibly welcoming. Please read all the info before you book... This is an ideal spot for a quiet getaway or as a home base if you want to explore the surrounding areas of Dunolly or Dunolly itself. Early mornings and late evenings you may be lucky to receive visits from Kangaroos. Camp freely around the designated campfire and enjoy an amazing star-gazing experience (on clear nights). The water hole is good for yabbies and great for skipping stones. We swim in it occasionally but prefer to go to the lake. We cannot endorse any swimming or entering the water hole as it is a liability issue and we cannot be responsible for anyone who chooses to swim or enter the area of the waterhole. Dunolly town has a great bakery, a pub, and a supermarket. Lake Laanacoorie 15 mins drive. Great for fishing, boats, and swimming. ***Pit-toilet (portable) available: - There is a pit toilet available for camper use but it's recommended to have a portaloo and use the onsite dunny as an emergency only. ***Keep Clean. -We ask that you take any rubbish with you when you leave. We would appreciate it if you could leave the property as you found it on arrival. ***Warning. -Regular pest control in the area might be a threat to your pet so please ensure that your pet does not stray too far off the property without your supervision. Pest control is usually concentrated in the state forest behind the property. ***Fire Wood: - You can BYO firewood or collect from the roadside. The state forest at the rear may be helpful but please don't cut down any trees. There is often a fallen tree that you can chop up if you have a chainsaw but it'll be easier to find on the roadside or BYO. If I'm able to provide firewood it'll be stacked but this is not something to depend on as it just depends on availability and time that I may not have. ***More info. -The campsite is close to the water hole which means it's also at the front of the property and approx 120m from the main road. You will see a vehicle passing by maybe once per hour in the daytime.

There are separate campsites available. Rodborough Vale is 600 acres with a combination of creek flats, native bushland and rocky volcanic outcrops. A working sheep property with some cropping, It is home to the well known Rodvale Border Leicester Stud. Farming in harmony with the native fauna and flora, guests may be able to spot many native species including platypus, wedge tail eagles, kookaburra and many more. Fronting Deep Creek, guests have access to fishing or just sit and listen to the crystal clear water meandering past the campsites. The farm borders Tullaroop Reservoir which is only a ten minute walk from most campsites, there you can find public toilets and picnic areas it is well known for its fly fishing for trout. The boat ramp is around 400m from the front gate and guests are welcome to leave vehicles and trailers on the property for convenience. Our property, "Seven Hills Tallarook", sits high above Tallarook with deep valleys and high peaks, just over one hour North of Melbourne's CBD. The property is 600 acres of thick Victorian bush and farmed paddocks. We have a wide range of hobby farm animals - pigs, sheep, alpacas, chickens, ponies, a donkey, along with commercial heard of South African Boer Goats. As night falls, the wildlife come out to play - kangaroos, rabbits, deer and wallabies. Internally, we have in excess of 10 kilometers of roads within the property, the majority being 2WD accessible (weather conditions apply). There are parts of the property which are only 4WD accessible. Our campsites are placed to allow you to be as isolated as possible - away from other campers (you may see others as you drive past, or they drive past you). At some of our bush sites, you will be able to see other campers, but they are not close by. Additionally, we have now entered our Fire Danger Period for the 2024/2025 Summer Season. We have not toggled the Fire Ban on as we do still allow campfires, however campers MUST adhere to CFA guidelines at all times. On days of Total Fire Ban (TFB), no fires, including gas stoves can be lit outdoors. Furthermore, we reserve the right to ask you not to light a fire regardless of TFB status if we feel weather conditions are unsafe, especially the wind element. We cannot plan the weather and the request to not light your campfires will most likely on the day and we will advise as such. There are about 6 paddock sites that are still within walking distance to all facilities but are nicely spread out to provide guests with there own space. We have 4 sites that you will either need to be a self-sufficient camper, or keen for a hike to facilities as these sites offer a lot more privacy and would need 4wD to access. 2 more sites that you must completely self sufficient and have 4wd skills. We are a no trace camp ground and ask you to take all waste with you when you leave. Dogs are permitted in camps but must be kept on a leash to protect our livestock. Redbank is a working Farm and you will likely see or hear evidence of this during your stay, but we are very considerate of our campers and have had a wonderful experience sharing our land so far and had very happy campers. BEYOND REDBANK156 Campers will find many more attractions in the area, Great spots for hiking, swimming, fishing or just straight up relaxing in the serenity. TRUPENS waterfalls are close by CASCADES and the Coliban River runs through Metcalfe AND EPPOLOCK just up the road. A short drive of 10-15min in all directions will take you to one of the funky little historic towns Kyneton, Castlemaine, Redesdale, and Malmsbury, and another 15 mins on to Daylesford and Trentham all filled with brilliant restaurants, cafes, vineyards, vibrant retail and market scene. What more could you possibly need for a great getaway?

The Whip Stick Forest campsite is located on the outskirts of Bendigo. This is an ideal place to take a break away from it all. Peace and tranquility surrounded by nature. We are just far enough away from the town to offer the outdoors feel and close enough to town to enjoy sightseeing, and many outdoor activities and access to shops, fuel and most of the usual shopping needs. Here you will find a nice open space amongst the gum trees with drinking water, toilet, and outdoor shower. rubbish/recycling bins and access to wifi if needed. Relax under the stars with a warm fire in a secluded spot in the middle of open space and the fresh air. The property is fenced off, so you can feel safe and secure. You can relax and let the kids can run around knowing they are safe inside the camp ground. There are five dogs who live here. They are all friendly and love people. Especially Daz who will be your best friend while you stay here. If you don't like dogs you probably shouldn't stay here as Daz loves people. Only minutes from town where you will find supplies, close to the local swimming pool and 10 minutes from a popular watering hole. Enjoy all that Bendigo and surrounding areas have to offer, check out the historic gold mining attractions and come home to rest in a tranquil setting amongst the trees, the birds and the stars. Bendigo itself features some fantastic heritage architecture and a creative community. Be sure to check out coffee houses down little laneways and the many culinary options of the restaurants in town.

Our property is located in Heathcote just 30 minutes from Bendigo. The property has plenty of space for a variety of camping options that will suit your needs. We are a 20 minute drive from Lake Eppalock which is a great spot for those who love their fishing, boating and swimming. We are 10 minutes from the O'Keefe Trail which is perfect for those who like to explore by bike or by foot. There are a variety of great wineries and cellar doors nearby for you to explore, most of who sell their own local produce. Local pub and a variety of cafes are all within a 15 minutes drive. We are also close to 4WD and motorbike tracks, campers are not permitted to ride motorbikes on the property. Campfires are permitted out of the fireban season, please check the CFA website to be up to date with any restrictions at the time of your stay. Campers must use the fire drum available to them. The shelter area also an old BBQ that you are welcome to use. Please take all waste with you and leave the site as you found it.
