It is unlikely you will hear other guests as there is a good distance between sites. The largest site is Mountain View and can accommodate the most number of guests and is well suited to caravans. Wetlands View has 3 different site options that all overlook the large dam and birdlife that frequent the wetlands. You can select the one that feels right for you. On the other side of the dam is the two Billabong sites. Billabong 2 is open and close to the road, it can accommodate a large group plus caravans. Billabong 1 is a small site that is set in the bush and overlooks the paddock and dam. Gully View and The Ridge are near each other and are secluded and surrounded by bushland. We had a great time camping at Amherst Farm. We had the site to ourselves, in a paddock looking out to the State Forest. There was ample space and our dog loved running around. We hired the metal detector for the day which was a bit of fun too. Beautiful spot and Wendy is super welcoming and lovely.

Such a great private site in a wonderful bush setting. The wildlife was well worth the trekking through trees, especially the echidnas, however the wombats proved to elusive on this visit. We’ll need to return to find them next time.

Scrolling the hipcamp app we stumbled across Wendy’s camp site and the single campsite & reviews hooked us in and wow what a fantastic spot. It doesn’t matter where you stay - a Hipcamp, an air bnb or a 5 star hotel it’s always the little extra things that make it stand out and make your stay somewhere you want to return. We felt this at Wendy’s - the signs to the campsite ✅ the dump point provided ✅ the fire pit ✅ peace & quiet ✅ the upkeep of the property ✅ the communication ✅ Everything was just easy, we drove out feeling recharged, relaxed and reconnected with nature. We will return to Wendy’s as it’s only an hour away but feels like we are miles from anywhere.

We camped on Johns farm over cup weekend and had such a lovely time. John is such a good ambassador for the area and we got daily history lessons on the area that were so interesting! The farm is really lovely with sheep,goats,chickens and even some alpacas! We had a paddock all to ourselves where our pooches could roam free so they had a ball. Would 100% recommend this site. My family stayed here over the cup weekend. We had a great time with the kids loving feeding the animals and fishing in the dam. The camp area was very clean with fire pit and a bin plus a water tap. The host Anneke was absolutely amazing. She was so friendly and kind. With only a short drive into Daylesford the location was great. Highly recommend and we will be back.

Really enjoyed the peace and quiet Far enough from other campers at different sites which made it fantastic for our dog to be able to roam around and not disturb anyone else Rick was very helpfull from start to finish Communication was outstanding Plenty of firewood delivered to site and even cut the grass for us before arrival 10/10 Rick👍

Weekend Trip to Earth’s Edge

We had a great time at Earth's Edge, nice and private and we were blessed with some excellent weather. We really enjoyed the hot tub, the veranda was a bonus and we enjoyed meeting and feeding the goats.

Weekend Trip to Eucalyptus Hills Daylesford

What a relaxing and private site. Nice flat surface for the tent and great areas for a little bush walk. Plenty of fallen wood for the fire. Would recommend if you like quiet and off-grid style camping.
