The property has two dams, it is well treed with large open parts and has a beautiful view to Mount Macedon. Kangaroos, possums and echidnas also live here.
You are welcome to walk the property and visit the farm animals during your stay (as long as you stay on the outside of paddocks/yards).

Browse in the galleries or wander around the beautiful gardens which have trees more than 100 years old, some listed on the National Trust register. Meet our 2 Dromkeen alpacas Hannah and Lilly.
***Please note, we are a rubbish free campsite, so campers are asked to take their rubbish with them. Dromkeen has very clean toilets, but a reminder there are NO showers. This acreage was historically a larger soldiers settlements property comprising a dairy, piggery and wool farming. The quality of the land hasn't changed with most of the region's farmland in use, so this is a cool place to stay in the Macedon Ranges.
Currently home to our family, the property is also visited by many native Australian birdlife species, many marsupials including kangaroos, echidna, possums and even a koala.
With close proximity to coffee shops and local stores of Romsey and Lancefield Providore, you have only a few minutes to drive to stock up on local produce.
Walking the trails around Hanging Rock is a 10-minute drive and Mt Macedon lookout 15min.

Lovely bushwalks, motorbike, and horse tracks are located close to the property.

30 picturesque acres in Gisborne with views to Mount Macedon. We are an animal rescue sanctuary and have rescued camels, horses, sheep, cows, donkeys, alpacas and chickens as well as dogs. Please note these are very friendly animals, the sheep are particularly friendly and curious. The sheep roam the property.
The property has two dams, it is well treed with large open parts and has a beautiful view to Mount Macedon. Kangaroos, possums and echidnas also live here.
You are welcome to walk the property and visit the farm animals during your stay (as long as you stay on the outside of paddocks/yards).

This acreage was historically a larger soldiers settlements property comprising a dairy, piggery and wool farming. The quality of the land hasn't changed with most of the region's farmland in use, so this is a cool place to stay in the Macedon Ranges.
Currently home to our family, the property is also visited by many native Australian birdlife species, many marsupials including kangaroos, echidna, possums and even a koala.
With close proximity to coffee shops and local stores of Romsey and Lancefield Providore, you have only a few minutes to drive to stock up on local produce.

Lovely bushwalks, motorbike, and horse tracks are located close to the property.

John was not just someone who let you use a part of his property but a good host who checks in with you and helps you enjoy the time there. He offered to show us around his farm and we felt we were genuinely welcome.

Was a lovely little camp site, Mark and his wife were easy to deal with, they even brought some kayaks for us too use on the dam. Nice and secluded, they also allowed the use of the nearby hut. Would recommend.

Victoria is a lovely host. The campsite is peaceful site by the lake with your own ensuite. Such a peaceful environment as a base to go off touring and to chill. The fur babies and I were totally relaxed. A lovely environment to re-centre yourself before travelling again. Thank you Victoria for offering such a lovely experience.

Took my 4 year old camping for a night at Mark's Land. Loved it. Had a fish and threw the yabby net in. A lovely dog came for a visit a couple of times. My daughter loved it.

Penzance Bushland Retreat highly recommended! This private camping destination is easily one of the best sites I’ve ever visited. Chris is very helpfull for your qustions,this site is an antique restorer, the property offers a unique blend of rugged bushland and curated charm. Best of all? It features a five-star toilet that makes the stay even more comfortable! :)

A mid week escape and we had the camping area to ourselves. Jem and Dale are wonderful hosts, engaging and more than helpful. The facilities are modern and spotless. The spot by the lakes edge offered awesome sunrises called in by the water birds. A great way to capture some peace and quiet.

We had a great stay camping by the lake. It gets beautiful morning sun and welcome shade in the afternoon, making it really comfortable throughout the day. The setting is peaceful and relaxing.
We saw plenty of birdlife and wildlife, including an echidna and kangaroos, which was a real highlight. Jemillia was responsive and very accommodating. We’d definitely stay again.

The gazebo, chairs and table are really good to have and mean you can pack even lighter!
