There is limited solar power (enough for phones and laptops) and low flow water (enough to brush your teeth). Neither is guaranteed to be available. A wood stove heats the hut, boils the kettle and cooks your dinner; firewood is included. An open outdoor bathroom includes a sink, bath and drop toilet. Hot water is available but not promised. The hut is fenced and well-behaved dogs are welcome.
This property is suited to resourceful guests who are familiar with lighting fires, swinging an axe and understanding rural courtesies. Nestled amongst the mountains just outside of the township of Whittlesea our 40-acre property sits above the clouds. This experience comes with sweeping views, a hidden waterfall, a clear campground, and plenty of wildlife.
The camping area is accessible by 4WD only, otherwise, strap on a backpack and earn it! (800m walk/hike from where a non-4WD can park). The waterfall is reached by a single trail track from the campsite, and you do need to be an experienced hiker to get to the waterfall. Which is part of the appeal!
We welcome self-contained campers, who bring their own toilet and take all waste with them. We have a strict Leave No Trace policy.

There is limited solar power (enough for phones and laptops) and low flow water (enough to brush your teeth). Neither is guaranteed to be available. The hut is fenced and well-behaved dogs are welcome.
This property is suited to resourceful guests who are familiar with lighting fires, swinging an axe and understanding rural courtesies. The abundance of wildlife is used to peace so if you are taking a dog with you then please keep it within eyesight and always under your control. Please also consider that the mobs of kangaroos that roam the property include some large bucks (boomers) that can be confrontational if surprised so please proceed with caution if approaching grazing animals.

Nestled amongst the mountains just outside of the township of Whittlesea our 40-acre property sits above the clouds. This experience comes with sweeping views, a hidden waterfall, a clear campground, and plenty of wildlife.
The camping area is accessible by 4WD only, otherwise, strap on a backpack and earn it! (800m walk/hike from where a non-4WD can park). The waterfall is reached by a single trail track from the campsite, and you do need to be an experienced hiker to get to the waterfall. Which is part of the appeal!
We welcome self-contained campers, who bring their own toilet and take all waste with them. We have a strict Leave No Trace policy.

Beautiful and serenity.. place offer lot of to do - we walked some trails with historical values from Gold rush mining times. We came to take maternity photos and the property was perfect – beautiful scenery, a cute cozy house, and lots of photogenic spots inside and out. The fireplace made it extra relaxing too 😊
Some things to note: the BBQ and pizza oven in the barn were quite dirty so we didn’t use them, and the coffee machine was broken. Also, we were woken up early by a possum scratching on the roof – a true country experience, but something to keep in mind if you’re a light sleeper!
Overall, we loved our stay and would definitely recommend it!

Really wonderful weekend escape. My partner and puppy and I enjoyed a farm stay here at Anne Maree's cute cabin. It had everything we needed and was easy to find, the farm grounds are huge and we couldn't even manage to walk the whole property! Friendly dogs on the farm that would visit us. The cabin it Esse was lovely and well presented, heating, comfy bed, kitchen with everything needed and am amazing bathroom with rain shower. The jacuzzi looked lovely but it was raining the entire stay, and it was not working anyway(the owner was extremely apologetic about this, and made up for it, by offering other alternatives and also made us home made scones, lamb shank soup and some other goodies, she didn't need to do this however Anne Maree was lovely and a proper host) this made us feel so comfortable and welcome and we already want to go back!! Hoping the rain is not there and the jacuzzi is fixed the next time we are there, Thankyou Ann Maree for a wonderful stay

Weekend Trip to Magic Mountain
We stayed with a toddler and a dog, and had a great time. The site was well organised and the A frame was clean and cosy. Our toddler loved reading books in the beanbag under the loft bed. A gas bbq and a wood fired pizza oven made life easy and we loved watching the sun set together from the giant hammock. The speed bumps going up the driveway are pretty intense, as previously noted. We have an Outback and still struggled on some of them. I'd recommend taking them on an angle at the edges, where the gradient isn't so steep. The way down is much easier.
Overall, we loved it. An easy getaway from the city with a great view.

Had the most serendipitous weekend at Anne-mare’s campsite, it exceeded already very high expectations.
The creek is stunning, and so fun for swimming, paddling floating, jumping off the rocks and (attempted) fishing.
The landscape is so beautiful, plenty of space for camping and so much to explore.
We also booked the cabin which was beautiful and the jacuzzi looking out on to the fields was such a delight!!
Anne-maree met us at the gate and was super lovely and comprehensive showing us around and being available if we needed.

Beautiful peice of land very peaceful alot of wildlife to hear and see in the day and at night.
You are close to Castlemaine and a Reservoir which is so good on a hot day to swim or kayak in.
The miners hut itself has alot of history and is well kept we were surprised how cool it was despite hot temps. It would be very cosy in the winter I'm sure.
Bathroom is clean and every detail considered
You do share the bathroom with other campers guests in the Glamping tent, at the time these guest were very quiet so all good.
Communication with Paul was excellent we enjoyed meeting his friendly black lab.

Cabin was fantastic. A real time capsule and it was so good to be able to stay there. There was lots of wildlife all around and it was very peaceful.

7 nights at Weemalah Cabin & Camping
Loved staying at the farm house. Anne-Maree and her husband were very helpful through our trip.
The view to the cattle was beautiful, sunsets every evening - brilliant!
Worth noting the spa didn't get as hot as we would have liked as there was no cover. The max temperature we could get it to was 35 degrees which is not that warm - but still beautiful.
Loved how self sufficient the cabin was too!

5 nights at The Stables On Knox
This was such a cute spot! Gorgeous sheep were a huge hit ♥️ well stocked kitchen with lovely supplies. Very generous number of towels and the beds were so comfy. Lovely stay we are already talking about returning no bad notes at all!
