Our hosts were most welcoming and we thoroughly enjoyed the beautiful countryside, as well as the gallery tour and the very interesting stories that went with it - thank you. We were sorry we only had one night and would happily recommend the site and hosts.

Peaceful and plenty of room around you. Green grass and not dusty at all. Sites are fairly flat. Town water to top up the tanks if needed. Would stay next time I'm in the area.

Weekend Trip to Lerderderg Lookout

It's a great location, 1hour from the zoo. Yes it's on the road but it is very quiet. Multiple camps to drive in but some is overgrown with branches and long grass. The toilet hadn't been cleaned and we had to fill up the portaloo water ourselves too. One of the neighbours were playing doof doof music all night which definitely ruined alot of it for us. Would still recommend though as a camp before heading into town or the zoo etc.

Weekend Trip to Penzance Bushland Retreat

Really nice secluded, private spot with a ripper toilet and friendly, likeable host. Chris' place is spacious and secluded with some interesting rustic metal antiques placed around the property. There's a couple of very solid tables for storing food stuff and doing your cooking & washing up so don't bother bringing a camp table like we did!

4 nights at Little River Camp

Nobody else in site. Plenty of room if other campers arrive (no need to camp right on top of each other lile I've experienced elsewhere). The Little River pub is not far away and the do awesome beef ribs and cold beers. Cheers

2 nights at Penzance Bushland Retreat

Wow! What a great little camp. We booked here to be close to Sovereign Hill for the kids. It was a lovely little camp for our group of two families. The grass was green, the sun was shining, there was plenty of shade and great facilities around the camp fire, like tables. We loved the rusty relics but a true highlight was the Powder Room. Thanks for having us Chris. We hope to be back one day. Don't hesitate in booking Penzance. One of our favourite campsites this trip.

Great spot with plenty of room, nice and level. Great access for even large caravans. Wayne is very friendly and we enjoyed meeting his dogs, Tillie and Daisy and have them play around our campsite. Also lovely to have the horses come to greet us
