THIS IS A WORKING FARM WITH MANY FREE ROAMING ANIMALS! Check in after 9am you get a whole day BEFORE you camp for the night and check out by 3pm this way you get another day here and plenty of daylight to get to your next place This place has river flats surrounded by wilderness and is the first private property on the river, so therefor the LAST property at the end of the road before the road goes into Forestry tracks. Many would consider this place to be very remote.....to us it is close to the City only 50 minutes away over the Mountain gravel roads. If you want to travel on mostly sealed roads go through Fingal and PAST Mathinna. Check maps before you leave as NO reception out here. It is 40 acres and we have MANY MANY free roaming animals, milking goats, ducks, chickens, cows, 3 BIG dogs. (The dogs will get out of the way of cars so just drive ahead and the dogs will move out of your way they have big barks but they are friendly) PLEASE NOTE: If you have any issues with dogs let us know in ADVANCE and we can lock them in their yard for your stay. EVERYONE is told upon arrival to honk/toot your horn if you have any issues or need help and one of us will come and help if you let us know! Otherwise we leave people in peace to camp as they wish and where they want. The property has a big guest house that is currently empty, this is where the flushing toilet is for you to use whilst camping if you like. This Rustic country house is also available for hire/rent, there is hot water via a woodfire (takes up to 5 hours to heat up water $50 per wheelbarrow load of wood) with Big triangle bath and a shower for use if you book the house, (3 single beds and a few new double bed air mattresses are available for your less rugged campers who want to come but need that extra comfort or to be close to a toilet at $40 per person per night.) You are welcome to come camping anytime with a range of needs catered to. Sorry no wheelchair ramps, a single step into the house and one step into the toilet too. Pick whatever spot you like to camp upon, by the river, the rocky island in the river, in the bush, just on the paddock grass anywhere. The big house is for you to use the toilet, kitchen sink and feel free to have a cold shower if you want. You can wander on the property connect with us and if you like you can help feed the animals. We are very happy to host people who love nature and enjoy organic farm life. There is NO wifi or mobile phone reception ZERO, so you can finally enjoy total tranquility. (there is a landline telephone in the big house so you can make a call if you need to, it is a private number)

WildWing Retreat is a beautiful 25 acre bush block, located within a 15 minute (1km) walk, to the local surf beach of Four Mile. The property has been created to host retreats centred around nature immersion, movement and connection (i.e yoga, acroyoga, dance, meditation, mindfuness, embodiment practices etc) and in the 'off season' it's available to host hipcampers! Because the space has been designed to host large groups, there are a bunch of facilities available to use, such as compost toilets, a communal kitchen with fresh running water, solar lights and gas cooker, an undercover deck area, hot showers, and a cedar barrel hot tub (refer to the extras section for hot tub use!). We also have a small stream on the property, with a little waterhole for plunging in and are surrounded by native wildlife. The property blooms with native Kunzea bushes, wattles, native cherries and various varieties of eucalyptus. WildWing is also our home, so we have our own set up, on a different section of the property. This means that we are nearby if needed, but that we all have our own space on the property :). There is a beautiful large fresh water river and waterhole just down the road (15 minute walk, or 2 minute drive), and aside from the surf beach down the front, we are also only a 10-15 minute drive from a bunch of other beautiful and popular surf beaches on the east coast. The whole area is great for fishing, boating, surfing, bike riding, walking and short hikes. We are a 10 minute drive from Falmouth, a 25 minute drive from the St Helens mountain bike trails, a 30 minute drive from Bicheno & Douglas Apsley National Park, a 45 minute drive from the infamous Bay of Fires and an hours drive from the Freycinet National Park. We are passionate about outdoor living and supporting the natural environment and have created WildWing with the intention to support others to have unique and beautiful experiences in nature, while caring for the land they inhabit.

Female only! Stay in a bohemian traditional Mongolian Ger (yurt) on a beautiful Australian native garden of 2 acres overlooking Mercury Passage and fascinating Maria Island. Private yet safely contained within the property Would be ideal for single travelling female if any age who wishes to explore this beautiful area. Visit the stunning Maria Island, 20 minutes away to the Triabunna ferry. Visit Freycinet and the Tasman Peninsula. Hobart is 75 minutes away, airport 50 minutes. East Coast Tasmania..nowhere better! Enjoy lots of activities in the area and come back to your serene surroundings. The Seadragon Yurt is basic and rustic. It's cosy, has minimal facilities but you can boil a kettle, microwave a meal (home cooked meals $15 booked in advance) a porta porti and main bathroom facilities in my house twice daily.. There's an armchair, a wood stove, a single comfortable stretcher bed. Microwave, tea & coffee. Filtered rainwater. BYO sheets & towels or let me know and I can provide. I'm a respectable distance away but your privacy is as important to you as it is to me. Park on-site and you have a private entrance. There are two silly labradors who may visit you outside so you do need to be a dog person. If not.. sorry the yurt is not for you. Please note this is a female only property.

Architecturally designed by Stephen Geason. Stephen was commissioned as a Director of the prominent Hobart Architectural firm Dock 4. He was selected because of his appreciation for Tasmania and the Freycinet region. The brief was to design a solar passive, site-specific home used for short to medium-length, self-catering stays of guests, with multiple locations to relax, built using Tasmanian materials. Stephen first visited the property prior to any site preparation, he walked over the entire property and discussed the location.

The topography slopes up from the road to a large flat top and is dotted with weathered gum trees. There are sweeping views in all directions, including a view of the sunrise to the east and spectacular sunset views toward Hobart's Kunanyi (Mount Wellington). The property has good access for all vehicles, and there are plenty of flat sites for camping at the top of the property. Some minor leveling may be required in parts for RVs and Caravans. Plenty of space though to find your own peaceful, private patch. And you're welcome to bring your doggo along too! We have one toilet available for shared use, self contained campers are encouraged to use their own facilities where possible. Situated within the Coal Valley Wine Region and just 30 minutes from Hobart, the property is the perfect location for travelers looking to sample glorious local food and wine, before returning to their picturesque base camp to recharge. Very private valley nestled between two mountainous sandstone ranges. 3.5 kilometers from Colebrook, via Yarlington road. The property in total size is 37 hectares half of which is gently undulating grassland slopes. These slopes lead to the banks of the beautiful Iles Creek which runs nearly all year round. The western range across the creek includes numerous caves within comfortable walking distance. The highest cave provides magnificent views to the East coast. Camping options include non-designated sites either side of the creek under the huge black-wood trees, restricted to 4-wheel drive vehicles during winter and spring months, with a secluded site with year-round access for all vehicles. At the entrance sits the first of the designated sites, the rest are accessed via the meandering road down 300 or so meters to the camping ground entrance for the other two sites. The last 500-700 meters of Yarlington road leading to the entrance is quite steep. Some two wheel drive vehicles towing large vans have found this challenging, while others haven't. The two main camping areas now have a 'bush loo' in each site. if you wish to use these please use your own paper. Also, now for camper convenience the whole area has access to the campers' lounge and resource shelter. It contains First Aid and snake bite first aid kits. Water is available here. This reconstructed building was once The Campania Scouts and guides, hall.

If it's rest and relaxation you're needing, we have you covered with stunning views from the cabin and fire-bath, reading materials and paints. The cabin itself has a cosy wood stove heater, and is furnished with a double bed with pillows and a queen-sized doona. There is an undercover outdoor small kitchen with a 2 burner gas stovetop, basic kitchenware (with hand-held coffee grinder and aeropress), sink and solar lighting. The toilet is a private eco-throne with a view to Bare Rock. It is composting and only a short walk from the cabin. We provide you with wood for the casuarina canopied fire-bath, and indoor wood stove, an esky, bed linen, towels, tea-towels, basic kitchenware, cooking basics and toilet paper. Please note this is rustic accommodation, the cabin doesn’t have 240v power only 12v LED lighting. There is no wifi available but there is strong mobile phone service. Fingal is fondly known by the locals as "the Valley", and hosts several coffee and food vans for travellers passing through. Fingal is located just 15 mins to local township St Marys, where you'll find IGA Supermarkets and the popular pub/restaurant St Marys Hotel. Also the gold-prospecting rivers of Mathinna and Mangana are both short drives away.

Our tiny house/shack sleeps 2 people max. It is close to beaches and a lagoon. The Bay of Fires is 40min north and Wineglass Bay/Freycinet National Park 1hr south. Relax night and day in a fire pit lounge area crafted with dry stone (large soft cushions included) plus an outdoor fire bath. A small separate shed houses a flushing toilet and gas hot water shower. The block has mains power; solar power and tank water. The block is surrounded by local endemic shrubs, trees and ground covers. We provide firewood, linen for the comfortable double bed, condiments for the fully equipped kitchen that includes crockery, cutlery, a fridge, a gas cooker, air fryer, sandwich toaster, camp oven, water etc. Just bring your clothes and food. The block is in a quiet coastal hamlet (with gravel roads and no street lights) ideal for beach and lagoon activities (surfing, walking, paddling, bird watching). Our 2 person sit on kayak is at the tidal lagoon 5 min walk away. We have crafted this space over a number of years for personal use and now would like others to experience it. Stargazing from the fire bath is a must do feature especially in winter. Dog/pet friendly.
