Just a short turn off from the Great Eastern Drive between Triabunna and Swansea, with easy access to Maria Island and Freycinet National Park, Kanyini Camp is a beautiful and serene piece of land backing on Butlers Ridge Nature reserve with sweeping country views.
We are one of only a few farms on a no through road and offer a unique experience of peace and serenity while being close to some of the major attractions the East Coast of Tasmania has to offer.
We are located only a 10 minutes drive to one of the most beautiful (secret) beaches in Tasmania and 15 minutes drive to Triabunna where the ferry departs for Maria Island.
We live on site (a few acres away across the rivulet) and are delighted to offer 12 opportunities for self-contained campers to camp on our private land and share our passion for the area.
This is a leave no trace property that suits self-contained campers who bring everything they need and remove everything they bring. Well behaved dogs and humans are all welcome.
We are farmers and this property is where we live and work. Please respect our requirement for self-contained campers only. This includes caravans and campervans with toilets on board. If you have a camper trailer with portable ensuite tent and toilet, please contact us PRIOR to making the booking. STRICTLY NO GENERATORS to preserve the peace and quiet please.

Prossers Ridge Richmond is 52 acres of rural paradise within close proximity to the heritage town of Richmond. The topography slopes up from the road to a large flat top and is dotted with weathered gum trees. There are sweeping views in all directions, including a view of the sunrise to the east and spectacular sunset views toward Hobart's Kunanyi (Mount Wellington).
The property has good access for all vehicles and there are plenty of flat sites for camping at the top of the property. Some minor leveling may be required in parts for RVs and Caravans. Plenty of space though to find your own peaceful, private patch. And you're welcome to bring your dog along too!

Travel 25 minutes north and you’ll arrive in the scenic coastal town of Bicheno. With its central location, Nick’s Nook is the ideal base for discovering the Freycinet Peninsula and beyond.
Whether you’re spending the day at the beach, visiting local wineries, or heading to St Helens for some epic downhill mountain biking, all these experiences are easily accessible within a day’s drive.

A short walk along a path through the trees will have you standing on the iconic Neck ocean beach. This 11.5 kilometres of pristine sand and ocean offers surfing, swimming and fishing. The beach is also home to the island's Fairy Penguins who return to their burrows in the sand dunes at dusk. The best viewing period is during the warmer months of September to February.
Bruny Island Cheese, Get Shucked Oysters, Bruny Island Honey are a ten-minute drive north.
Adventure Bay with its Bowls Club, General Store and Service Station and coffee shop are a 15-minute drive south.
Penicott Wilderness Journeys and Fish Bruny Island private charters are also located at Adventure Bay.
15 minutes drive to the south west is Alonnah, where you'll find the brilliant Bruny Island Hotel - a pub with the best food, service and amazing sunset view over the Channel and Satellite Island. Alonnah is also home to the local Police Station, Pharmacy, Cricket Club, two great coffee shop options, and a skate bowl for the concrete shredders.
NOTE: your GPS is likely to send you several hundred metres south of the actual property entrance. Look for the small red Australian flag on the side of the road, indicating the location of the entrance. If you arrive at an old weatherboard cottage - you are at the right property, but the incorrect entrance to the campground.

Craigie Knowe Vineyard is a working vineyard and cellar door, set on 20 hectares, with 5 hectares under vine. It is the oldest vineyard on the beautiful East Coast of Tasmania. The homestead was built in 1836 and is one of the most photographed houses in Tasmania. Please note Hipcamp charge an additional charge on top of the $25.00. Please look at our website for options.
The cellar door is open 11-4, and offers chocolate and wine pairings, and normal tastings. We also have a restaurant on site open from 11:30 - 3:00 daily during summer. It is a beautiful vineyard with plenty of outside seating. There are also 5 other cellar doors within 10 minutes of the property, so it's a great basecamp for wine lovers!
We have plenty of level ground, ideal for pulling up for a night or several. Please note, all campers must be self-contained, with their own toilet, and we kindly ask you take all waste with you.
Just outside the property, the Swan River flows past, a great place to cool off on hot days, sometimes there are fish there too.
Swansea is 16km away and Bicheno is 26km away. Both towns have IGA supermarkets, bottle shops and restaurants, and plenty of history.
Freycinet National Park is 40 minutes, and makes for a great day trip, with beautiful walks, fantastic scenery, and of course iconic Wine Glass Bay.

Just a short turn off from the Great Eastern Drive between Triabunna and Swansea, with easy access to Maria Island and Freycinet National Park, Kanyini Camp is a beautiful and serene piece of land backing on Butlers Ridge Nature reserve with sweeping country views.
We are one of only a few farms on a no through road and offer a unique experience of peace and serenity while being close to some of the major attractions the East Coast of Tasmania has to offer.
We are located only a 10 minutes drive to one of the most beautiful (secret) beaches in Tasmania and 15 minutes drive to Triabunna where the ferry departs for Maria Island.
We live on site (a few acres away across the rivulet) and are delighted to offer 12 opportunities for self-contained campers to camp on our private land and share our passion for the area.
This is a leave no trace property that suits self-contained campers who bring everything they need and remove everything they bring. Well behaved dogs and humans are all welcome.
We are farmers and this property is where we live and work. Please respect our requirement for self-contained campers only. This includes caravans and campervans with toilets on board. If you have a camper trailer with portable ensuite tent and toilet, please contact us PRIOR to making the booking. STRICTLY NO GENERATORS to preserve the peace and quiet please.

Prossers Ridge Richmond is 52 acres of rural paradise within close proximity to the heritage town of Richmond. The topography slopes up from the road to a large flat top and is dotted with weathered gum trees. There are sweeping views in all directions, including a view of the sunrise to the east and spectacular sunset views toward Hobart's Kunanyi (Mount Wellington).
The property has good access for all vehicles and there are plenty of flat sites for camping at the top of the property. Some minor leveling may be required in parts for RVs and Caravans. Plenty of space though to find your own peaceful, private patch. And you're welcome to bring your dog along too!
Please note: some front wheel drive motorhomes have encountered difficulty getting up the driveway. If you have rented a Fiat Motorhome you wont be able to get to the campground
We have one toilet available for shared use, self contained campers are encouraged to use their own facilities where possible.

A short 10-minute drive will take you to the beachside town of Coles Bay, while the majestic Hazards mountain range is just 15 minutes away. Travel 25 minutes north and you’ll arrive in the scenic coastal town of Bicheno. With its central location, Nick’s Nook is the ideal base for discovering the Freycinet Peninsula and beyond.
Whether you’re spending the day at the beach, visiting local wineries, or heading to St Helens for some epic downhill mountain biking, all these experiences are easily accessible within a day’s drive.

A short walk along a path through the trees will have you standing on the iconic Neck ocean beach. This 11.5 kilometres of pristine sand and ocean offers surfing, swimming and fishing. The beach is also home to the island's Fairy Penguins who return to their burrows in the sand dunes at dusk. The best viewing period is during the warmer months of September to February.
Bruny Island Cheese, Get Shucked Oysters, Bruny Island Honey are a ten-minute drive north.
Adventure Bay with its Bowls Club, General Store and Service Station and coffee shop are a 15-minute drive south.
Penicott Wilderness Journeys and Fish Bruny Island private charters are also located at Adventure Bay.
15 minutes drive to the south west is Alonnah, where you'll find the brilliant Bruny Island Hotel - a pub with the best food, service and amazing sunset view over the Channel and Satellite Island. Alonnah is also home to the local Police Station, Pharmacy, Cricket Club, two great coffee shop options, and a skate bowl for the concrete shredders.
NOTE: your GPS is likely to send you several hundred metres south of the actual property entrance. Look for the small red Australian flag on the side of the road, indicating the location of the entrance. Craigie Knowe Vineyard is a working vineyard and cellar door, set on 20 hectares, with 5 hectares under vine. It is the oldest vineyard on the beautiful East Coast of Tasmania. The homestead was built in 1836 and is one of the most photographed houses in Tasmania. Please note Hipcamp charge an additional charge on top of the $25.00. Please look at our website for options.
The cellar door is open 11-4, and offers chocolate and wine pairings, and normal tastings. We also have a restaurant on site open from 11:30 - 3:00 daily during summer. It is a beautiful vineyard with plenty of outside seating. There are also 5 other cellar doors within 10 minutes of the property, so it's a great basecamp for wine lovers!
We have plenty of level ground, ideal for pulling up for a night or several. Please note, all campers must be self-contained, with their own toilet, and we kindly ask you take all waste with you.
Just outside the property, the Swan River flows past, a great place to cool off on hot days, sometimes there are fish there too.
Swansea is 16km away and Bicheno is 26km away. Both towns have IGA supermarkets, bottle shops and restaurants, and plenty of history.
Freycinet National Park is 40 minutes, and makes for a great day trip, with beautiful walks, fantastic scenery, and of course iconic Wine Glass Bay.

Had a great stay at this site. Host arranged a tasting at the winery next door, which was a lovely way to spend the afternoon.
Site was spacious, quiet, and relaxing.
Highly reccomend.

The Sunny Banks campsite was everything we were looking for! Not out of the way but still secluded and private.
Rob was super accommodating and fast to respond to any questions I had. Had a great view of the nearby farms and an absolute awesome sunset out of nowhere to end our trip.

Lovely 4 nights in Springer; private; very spacious sites; centrally located Hipcamp; less than 3 minute walk to beach; lovely to hear waves at night; beautiful blue wrens visited as did a possum at night. Ensure all food boxes are put away in vehicles…even if it isn’t possible for a possum to access the food, as they have a very strong sense of smell. We didn’t meet the owners, but they provided a generous amount of good quality firewood. Our fireplace was a concrete block structure. It felt quite stark though and didn’t radiate heat. A more inviting design would provide atmosphere for sitting around at night. The large property has so much potential. For a sunny February weekend, we were surprised to be the only campers on the Saturday night. There were only two other sites taken the previous two nights. Although we paid $10 less per night having booked several months in advance, a possible suggestion could be to reduce the nightly fee and this may encourage more campers. Even if all sites were full campers would still have so much space to themselves. In a return visit to Bruny Island, I would select Springer, due to the location within the property. followed by Fern and Marion . The surrounding trees creat a private and pleasant outlook for these two.

This was our first ever Hipcamp stay and it was the perfect experience. The property is absolutely stunning. The camp site was very flat with lovely green grass and surrounds, a creek, a swing, a large picnic table, fire pit and dog friendly. Kathryn is a gorgeous human - so kind, warm and friendly. She told us everything we needed to know, provided fire wood with fire lighters and matches, as well as delivered a warm jar of homemade jam that made Sunday breakfast extra special. We didn’t want to leave and my boys are already asking when we can go back. Thank you so much for having us Kathryn and Alex and for sharing your little piece of paradise with us.

Tranquility Now! Ian and Greggs place is just the spot to get away from it all for a few days/ nights . Great level sites beside the pristine river , we spotted a platypus when we arrived. Also works as a good base to visit Ben Lomand and an easy 30 minute drive to Fingal if you need supplies. Plenty of firewood made for great nights sitting listening to the river and wildlife. Highly recommended.

It was fantastic! So central to Launceston and surrounding Tamar Valley areas. We stayed 4 night altogether. Beautiful grounds surrounded by little lakes. Toilet facilities were great! Lots of animals for the kids. Great sized sites and Lucas was super friendly. Book on HipCamp or pay on-site. Arrive - pick your site and all done! Highly recommend. We stayed in unpowered site.

Fraser Flats was everything we expected and more. A brilliant site, next to Ringarooma river, on a large farm, in a tranquil valley. Derby is just done the road, with the Dorest Pub and The Hub pizza house, but we just lived the chance to chill and enjoy the natural environment.
