The cellar door is open 11-4, and offers chocolate and wine pairings, and normal tastings. We also have a restaurant on site open from 11:30 - 3:00 daily during summer. It is a beautiful vineyard with plenty of outside seating. There are also 5 other cellar doors within 10 minutes of the property, so it's a great basecamp for wine lovers! We have plenty of level ground, ideal for pulling up for a night or several. Please note, all campers must be self-contained, with their own toilet, and we kindly ask you take all waste with you. Just outside the property, the Swan River flows past, a great place to cool off on hot days, sometimes there are fish there too. Swansea is 16km away and Bicheno is 26km away. Both towns have IGA supermarkets, bottle shops and restaurants, and plenty of history. Freycinet National Park is 40 minutes, and makes for a great day trip, with beautiful walks, fantastic scenery, and of course iconic Wine Glass Bay.

Bruny Island Cheese, Get Shucked Oysters, Bruny Island Honey are a ten-minute drive north. Adventure Bay with its Bowls Club, General Store and Service Station and coffee shop are a 15-minute drive south. Penicott Wilderness Journeys and Fish Bruny Island private charters are also located at Adventure Bay. 15 minutes drive to the south west is Alonnah, where you'll find the brilliant Bruny Island Hotel - a pub with the best food, service and amazing sunset view over the Channel and Satellite Island. Alonnah is also home to the local Police Station, Pharmacy, Cricket Club, two great coffee shop options, and a skate bowl for the concrete shredders. NOTE: your GPS is likely to send you several hundred metres south of the actual property entrance. Look for the small red Australian flag on the side of the road, indicating the location of the entrance. There is clean and well maintained public toilets two hundred metres away. Plenty of kindling is available and camp fires allowed when https://www.fire.tas.gov.au/fire-danger-rating/ is not a total ban. Keep under a metre, ensure the ground is cleared around and attend until extinguished. Pets are welcome, especially dogs 👍 There are private walking trails on the property. St Helens is under fifteen minutes away, Bay of Fires 25 minutes. Scamander 5 minutes. The famous St Helens bike trails are under ten minutes drive or accessible on your bike via the back trails. Ride direct to the trail heads! There is fantastic nine hole golf course at Scamander. Wood available for sale at camp to use in fire pits for just $10 a tub. We have just put in a private dump point for guest convince. The river here is freshwater, potable and a renowned trout water, (licence required). Three kilometres from the village of Gretna. 4WD Preferred. 2WD need to assess river access. Very private valley nestled between two mountainous sandstone ranges. 3.5 kilometers from Colebrook, via Yarlington road. The property in total size is 37 hectares half of which is gently undulating grassland slopes. These slopes lead to the banks of the beautiful Iles Creek which runs nearly all year round. The western range across the creek includes numerous caves within comfortable walking distance. The highest cave provides magnificent views to the East coast. Camping options include non-designated sites either side of the creek under the huge black-wood trees, restricted to 4-wheel drive vehicles during winter and spring months, with a secluded site with year-round access for all vehicles. At the entrance sits the first of the designated sites, the rest are accessed via the meandering road down 300 or so meters to the camping ground entrance for the other two sites. The last 500-700 meters of Yarlington road leading to the entrance is quite steep. Some two wheel drive vehicles towing large vans have found this challenging, while others haven't. The two main camping areas now have a 'bush loo' in each site. if you wish to use these please use your own paper. Also, now for camper convenience the whole area has access to the campers' lounge and resource shelter. It contains First Aid and snake bite first aid kits. Water is available here. Just a short turn off from the Great Eastern Drive between Triabunna and Swansea, with easy access to Maria Island and Freycinet National Park, Kanyini Camp is a beautiful and serene piece of land backing on Butlers Ridge Nature reserve with sweeping country views. We are one of only a few farms on a no through road and offer a unique experience of peace and serenity while being close to some of the major attractions the East Coast of Tasmania has to offer. We are located only a 10 minutes drive to one of the most beautiful (secret) beaches in Tasmania and 15 minutes drive to Triabunna where the ferry departs for Maria Island. We live on site (a few acres away across the rivulet) and are delighted to offer 12 opportunities for self-contained campers to camp on our private land and share our passion for the area. This is a leave no trace property that suits self-contained campers who bring everything they need and remove everything they bring. Well behaved dogs and humans are all welcome. We are farmers and this property is where we live and work. Please respect our requirement for self-contained campers only. This includes caravans and campervans with toilets on board. Craigie Knowe Vineyard is a working vineyard and cellar door, set on 20 hectares, with 5 hectares under vine. It is the oldest vineyard on the beautiful East Coast of Tasmania. The cellar door is open 11-4, and offers chocolate and wine pairings, and normal tastings. We also have a restaurant on site open from 11:30 - 3:00 daily during summer. It is a beautiful vineyard with plenty of outside seating. There are also 5 other cellar doors within 10 minutes of the property, so it's a great basecamp for wine lovers! We have plenty of level ground, ideal for pulling up for a night or several. Please note, all campers must be self-contained, with their own toilet, and we kindly ask you take all waste with you. Just outside the property, the Swan River flows past, a great place to cool off on hot days, sometimes there are fish there too. Swansea is 16km away and Bicheno is 26km away. Very private valley nestled between two mountainous sandstone ranges. 3.5 kilometers from Colebrook, via Yarlington road. The property in total size is 37 hectares half of which is gently undulating grassland slopes. These slopes lead to the banks of the beautiful Iles Creek which runs nearly all year round. The western range across the creek includes numerous caves within comfortable walking distance. The highest cave provides magnificent views to the East coast. Camping options include non-designated sites either side of the creek under the huge black-wood trees, restricted to 4-wheel drive vehicles during winter and spring months, with a secluded site with year-round access for all vehicles. At the entrance sits the first of the designated sites, the rest are accessed via the meandering road down 300 or so meters to the camping ground entrance for the other two sites. The last 500-700 meters of Yarlington road leading to the entrance is quite steep. Some two wheel drive vehicles towing large vans have found this challenging, while others haven't. The two main camping areas now have a 'bush loo' in each site. if you wish to use these please use your own paper. Also, now for camper convenience the whole area has access to the campers' lounge and resource shelter. It contains First Aid and snake bite first aid kits. Water is available here. A recently listed property. Be the first to stay! South of the Bay of Fires, North of Wineglass Bay. A beautiful bush acreage located a five minute amble from Beaumaris Beach. The eastern side has a cleared area with little private nooks to tuck yourself into. Ocean Drive is asphalt to the front gate, then it is firm, level, all weather access to the camping sites. There is clean and well maintained public toilets two hundred metres away. Plenty of kindling is available and camp fires allowed when https://www.fire.tas.gov.au/fire-danger-rating/ is not a total ban. Keep under a metre, ensure the ground is cleared around and attend until extinguished. Pets are welcome, especially dogs 👍 There are private walking trails on the property. St Helens is under fifteen minutes away, Bay of Fires 25 minutes. Scamander 5 minutes. The famous St Helens bike trails are under ten minutes drive or accessible on your bike via the back trails. Ride direct to the trail heads! There is fantastic nine hole golf course at Scamander. Wood available for sale at camp to use in fire pits for just $10 a tub. We have just put in a private dump point for guest convince. The property is 380m from the junction of the Lyell Highway and the Gordon River Road. It has 450m absolute river frontage on the River Derwent (no riparian reserve). The river here is freshwater, potable and a renowned trout water, (licence required). Three kilometres from the village of Gretna. 4WD Preferred. 2WD need to assess river access. Campers need all own amenities and leave no trace. Dog friendly but please see rules, we have livestock and so dogs need to be well controlled at all times. Campfires permitted when restrictions aren't in place (see rules around campfires). Due to hydro generation activity, the river may slowly rise or fall up to 1m (often without rain) so please be careful around the water.

Very private valley nestled between two mountainous sandstone ranges. 3.5 kilometers from Colebrook, via Yarlington road. The property in total size is 37 hectares half of which is gently undulating grassland slopes. These slopes lead to the banks of the beautiful Iles Creek which runs nearly all year round. The western range across the creek includes numerous caves within comfortable walking distance. The highest cave provides magnificent views to the East coast. Camping options include non-designated sites either side of the creek under the huge black-wood trees, restricted to 4-wheel drive vehicles during winter and spring months, with a secluded site with year-round access for all vehicles. At the entrance sits the first of the designated sites, the rest are accessed via the meandering road down 300 or so meters to the camping ground entrance for the other two sites. The last 500-700 meters of Yarlington road leading to the entrance is quite steep. Some two wheel drive vehicles towing large vans have found this challenging, while others haven't. The two main camping areas now have a 'bush loo' in each site. if you wish to use these please use your own paper. Also, now for camper convenience the whole area has access to the campers' lounge and resource shelter. It contains First Aid and snake bite first aid kits. Water is available here. This reconstructed building was once The Campania Scouts and guides, hall.

I’d love to tell people not to book here to keep it a hidden gem for my husband and I, but the space is too good not to positively review. A short drive outside of coles bay town centre, close to the beach, walks and the beauty of the east coast but still enough away to feel private and secluded which is rare for this part of Tasmania. We loved our stay so much we booked and extra night and time over NYE. Highly recommend this camp- and Taj is amazing!

Check in after 9am you get a whole day BEFORE you camp for the night and check out by 3pm this way you get another day here and plenty of daylight to get to your next place This place has river flats surrounded by wilderness and is the first private property on the river, so therefor the LAST property at the end of the road before the road goes into Forestry tracks. Many would consider this place to be very remote.....to us it is close to the City only 50 minutes away over the Mountain gravel roads. If you want to travel on mostly sealed roads go through Fingal and PAST Mathinna. Check maps before you leave as NO reception out here. It is 40 acres and we have MANY MANY free roaming animals, milking goats, ducks, chickens, cows, 3 BIG dogs. (The dogs will get out of the way of cars so just drive ahead and the dogs will move out of your way they have big barks but they are friendly) PLEASE NOTE: If you have any issues with dogs let us know in ADVANCE and we can lock them in their yard for your stay. EVERYONE is told upon arrival to honk/toot your horn if you have any issues or need help and one of us will come and help if you let us know! Otherwise we leave people in peace to camp as they wish and where they want. The property has a big guest house that is currently empty, this is where the flushing toilet is for you to use whilst camping if you like. This Rustic country house is also available for hire/rent, there is hot water via a woodfire (takes up to 5 hours to heat up water $50 per wheelbarrow load of wood) with Big triangle bath and a shower for use if you book the house, (3 single beds and a few new double bed air mattresses are available for your less rugged campers who want to come but need that extra comfort or to be close to a toilet at $40 per person per night.) You are welcome to come camping anytime with a range of needs catered to. Sorry no wheelchair ramps, a single step into the house and one step into the toilet too. Pick whatever spot you like to camp upon, by the river, the rocky island in the river, in the bush, just on the paddock grass anywhere. The big house is for you to use the toilet, kitchen sink and feel free to have a cold shower if you want. You can wander on the property connect with us and if you like you can help feed the animals. We are very happy to host people who love nature and enjoy organic farm life. There is NO wifi or mobile phone reception ZERO, so you can finally enjoy total tranquility. Next to 70 acres of forest the location is great for birdlife, with many of Tassie's endemics around, and other wildlife abundant after dark. The nearest public dump point is located at: RV Water and Elsan Point 77 Station Road, St Leonards TAS 7250 (Approximately 17 minutes by road.) Fires permitted in suitable weather conditions and within local safety requirements. Pets allowed if kept under control at all times. Access is via gravel road. Some areas may require a 4WD in wet weather. Convenient to the Tasman Highway, yet quiet, private and surrounded by bushland.

"Quoll Hideaway - Bruny Island Bush & Beach Camping" is our slice of paradise and we are looking forward to sharing it with you. New! Aug 2024: the site now has a flat patch for campers visiting 🏕️ The plot is nearly 3 acres and is earmarked conservation land and surrounded by neighbouring conservation land. This is your perfect lunawuni/Bruny Island escape! It is tucked away from the no-through gravel road and surrounded by Australian bush and wildlife with filtered water views of D'Entrecasteaux Channel and 100 m from the beach. It's a tranquil heaven yet so close to all the famous Bruny sites and must dos: Bruny oysters, beer and cheese (why not bring some to the campsite to enjoy?) The Neck, Truganini Lookout + penguins! Cape Queen Elizabeth Track and other hiking trails Adventure Bay and *white wallabies (*we give you a map on where to go to find the white wallabies!!) South Bruny, and the Light house When you book our site, you have it all to yourself! Except for sharing it with the wildlife, of course. As the name suggests, there is a family of quolls living on the land and you are very likely to see them! Once dusk arrives and the stars start lighting up the sky, the quolls usually come out to say hi before they start their night activities. Joining the quolls, are the potoroos who are not afraid to come up close and sniff your feet in curiosity. If you are yet to see a quoll and a potoroo in the wild, this is your campsite! Other wildlife includes the endangered Forty Spotted Pardalote and critically endangered Swift Parrots. To access the beach, simply walk through the property to the end of the plot and follow the path. There is an echidna living near the road so keep an eye out for her. The campsite is a perfect spot to see wildlife, and birds, and for photography. On the campsite is a large outdoor kitchen with two sinks. Wait... is there a bathtub? Yes! The bathtub is great for a bush shower (byo solar shower) as the taps are not connected. You must bring your own toilet. Rainwater is available too, we have two tanks! Campfires are allowed but you cannot collect firewood on the property. Please bring your own firewood or add it at the time of booking and we will provide you with firewood for your stay. The land is a conservation area and quolls are known to live in up to 5 nests. They live under the logs and it is an important habitat for the species. We love the quolls and know you will too so please do not disturb their homes. The site is excellent for stargazing once nightfall arrives. Simply BYO a hammock (we have prepared the setup!) and lie down to watch the stars with a glass of red or a hot chocolate. We recommend campervans for the site and it's only suited to self-contained campers leaving no trace behind. Available on-site and free to use are also a director's chair and a table. The kitchen is also equipped with a double sink, dish rack, two buckets, BBQ tools, cutlery, and a dustpan. There is also a cleaning kit with biodegradable spray, hand sanitizer, and soap. There are also a set of caravan/van leveling ramps and chocks for you to freely use. The site is perfect for those wishing to find privacy amongst an otherwise busy Island. Our property runs beef and cultivates crops alongside the Ringarooma river, North East Tasmania. We often host mountain bike riders here to access the world-class trails at Derby. Nearby are many marked mountain trails, and numerous falls. Skiing is 1hr away in the winter. Our camping site is alongside cattle grazing paddocks and the Ringarooma river, and we offer one site only, to one group at a time, so it's yours exclusively. A toilet is available nearby. A gravel track descends to the river with a short steep bank preceding the flats. When the track reaches the river the camping site is just through the gate on the right. One gate and two wire gates may require opening on the way and these gates need to be closed again to prevent cattle from wandering. Electrical fencing is in use and alive - please be careful! Wood for your campfire is available to purchase, $15. I can supply fresh sourdough loaves $6 also fresh eggs $3perhalf doz, and fresh cows milk most of the year $5/2L. Fly fish for trout and cook over the coals for a treat. Welcome to bring your dog along, but please keep them under control.
