The topography slopes up from the road to a large flat top and is dotted with weathered gum trees. The property has good access for all vehicles and there are plenty of flat sites for camping at the top of the property. Some minor leveling may be required in parts for RVs and Caravans. Access height has been raised to 3.7meters. Pine Ridge has been developed over the years to be a natural park land with a good variety of local vegetation including stands of mature trees. lower scrub has been removed for physical and viewing access and to keep the property more secure and manageable. The vegetation also provides significant protection on windy days compared to many other open places. Native animals and birdlife abound the location. There is a community pergola area beside the substantial water hole which has a small jetty allowing easy access for swimming. There is also a stone barbecue and fire pit area available on suitable weather conditions.
There are ocean views from the property's main road areas, which also provide a large area of flatish firm ground with large areas providing easy maneuverability and turning.
The property is 2-3km from the main highway turn off that leads to the Douglas Apsley National Park. The corner of the property is only 50 meters from the park edge, with the Parks main access several km further along Rosedale Rd. The turn off is only 2 km from the town edge. It is sealed road except for the last 100meters and in good condition.
FIRES. Ok unless a fire ban. GOOD BAGS OF WOOD ON SITE FOR $20. NO OUTSIDE WOOD CAN BE BROUGHT ONTO THE PROPERTY AND BURNT. I HAVE TRIED TO MAKE A MIDDLE GROUND ON THIS ISSUE BUT UNFORTUNATELY SOME HAVE ABUSED THE FAIR RULES SO THIS IS NOW THE SITUATION.

Our property runs beef and cultivates crops alongside the Ringarooma river, North East Tasmania. We often host mountain bike riders here to access the world-class trails at Derby. Nearby are many marked mountain trails, and numerous falls. Skiing is 1hr away in the winter.
Our camping site is alongside cattle grazing paddocks and the Ringarooma river, and we offer one site only, to one group at a time, so it's yours exclusively. A toilet is available nearby.
A gravel track descends to the river with a short steep bank preceding the flats. When the track reaches the river the camping site is just through the gate on the right. One gate and two wire gates may require opening on the way and these gates need to be closed again to prevent cattle from wandering. Electrical fencing is in use and alive - please be careful!
Wood for your campfire is available to purchase, $15. I can supply fresh sourdough loaves $6 also fresh eggs $3perhalf doz, and fresh cows milk most of the year $5/2L. Fly fish for trout and cook over the coals for a treat.
Welcome to bring your dog along, but please keep them under control.

There is an undercover outdoor small kitchen with a 2 burner gas stovetop, basic kitchenware (with hand-held coffee grinder and aeropress), sink, solar lighting and rechargeable camping lanterns.
The toilet is a private eco-throne with a view to Bare Rock. It is composting and only a short walk from the cabin.
We provide you with wood for the indoor wood stove, an esky, bed linen, towels, tea-towels, basic kitchenware, cooking basics and toilet paper.
The kitchen sink and bath water comes from a spring fed dam, perfect for washing your dishes and bathing in. Please bring your own fresh drinking water.
Please note this is rustic accommodation, the cabin doesn’t have 240v, only a solar powered charging port with USB-A/C inputs to recharge the camping lanterns and your devices. You may wish to bring head torches for night time reading and card games!
There is no wifi available but there is strong mobile phone service.

Very private valley nestled between two mountainous sandstone ranges. 3.5 kilometers from Colebrook. The property in total size is 37 hectares half of which is gently undulating grassland slopes. These slopes lead to the banks of the beautiful Iles Creek which runs nearly all year round. The western range across the creek includes numerous caves within comfortable walking distance. The highest cave provides magnificent views to the East coast.
Camping options include non-designated sites either side of the creek under the huge black-wood trees, restricted to 4-wheel drive vehicles during winter and spring months, with a secluded site with year-round access for all vehicles.
At the entrance sits the first of the designated sites, the rest are accessed via the meandering road down 300 or so meters to the camping ground entrance for the other two sites. The last 500-700 meters of Yarlington road leading to the entrance is quite steep. Some two wheel drive vehicles towing large vans have found this challenging, while others haven't.
The two main camping areas now have a 'bush loo' in each site. if you wish to use these please use your own paper. Also, now for camper convenience the whole area has access to the campers' lounge and resource shelter. It contains First Aid and snake bite first aid kits. Water is available here. This reconstructed building was once The Campania Scouts and guides, hall.

The plot is nearly 3 acres and is earmarked conservation land and surrounded by neighbouring conservation land. This is your perfect lunawuni/Bruny Island escape! It is tucked away from the no-through gravel road and surrounded by Australian bush and wildlife with filtered water views of D'Entrecasteaux Channel and 100 m from the beach.
It's a tranquil heaven yet so close to all the famous Bruny sites and must dos:
Bruny oysters, beer and cheese (why not bring some to the campsite to enjoy?)
The Neck, Truganini Lookout + penguins!
Cape Queen Elizabeth Track and other hiking trails
Adventure Bay and *white wallabies

South Bruny, and the Light house
When you book our site, you have it all to yourself! Except for sharing it with the wildlife, of course.
As the name suggests, there is a family of quolls living on the land and you are very likely to see them! Once dusk arrives and the stars start lighting up the sky, the quolls usually come out to say hi before they start their night activities. Joining the quolls, are the potoroos who are not afraid to come up close and sniff your feet in curiosity. If you are yet to see a quoll and a potoroo in the wild, this is your campsite!
Other wildlife includes the endangered Forty Spotted Pardalote and critically endangered Swift Parrots.
To access the beach, simply walk through the property to the end of the plot and follow the path. There is an echidna living near the road so keep an eye out for her.
The campsite is a perfect spot to see wildlife, and birds, and for photography.
On the campsite is a large outdoor kitchen with two sinks. Wait... is there a bathtub? Yes! The bathtub is great for a bush shower (byo solar shower) as the taps are not connected.
You must bring your own toilet.
Rainwater is available too, we have two tanks!
Campfires are allowed but you cannot collect firewood on the property. Please bring your own firewood or add it at the time of booking and we will provide you with firewood for your stay. The land is a conservation area and quolls are known to live in up to 5 nests. They live under the logs and it is an important habitat for the species. We love the quolls and know you will too so please do not disturb their homes.
The site is excellent for stargazing once nightfall arrives. Simply BYO a hammock (we have prepared the setup!) and lie down to watch the stars with a glass of red or a hot chocolate.
We recommend campervans for the site and it's only suited to self-contained campers leaving no trace behind.
Available on-site and free to use are also a director's chair and a table. The kitchen is also equipped with a double sink, dish rack, two buckets, BBQ tools, cutlery, and a dustpan. There is also a cleaning kit with biodegradable spray, hand sanitizer, and soap. There are also a set of caravan/van leveling ramps and chocks for you to freely use.
The site is perfect for those wishing to find privacy amongst an otherwise busy Island. Escape the tourists and experience Bruny Island like a local.

A campsite all to yourself! Camp Sandford is located on our 2-acre bushland property, nestled in the heart of the South Arm Peninsula. Family- and pet-friendly (well-behaved pets only), children can enjoy the cubby house, and the attached mud kitchen can even double as a spot to wash dishes — sounds like a job for the young ones!
With several surf beaches within a 5–10 minute drive, beautiful Mortimer Bay just a short, flat walk away, and private access to the Tangara Trail — offering 250 km of recreational trails through bushland and coastal reserves — you won’t be short of adventures.
The local wildlife may come by to say hello. We regularly see wallabies, robins, and bandicoots, with occasional visits from echidnas, peregrine falcons, collared sparrowhawks, blue-tongue lizards, and even a snake or two (something to keep in mind during the warmer months).
There is easy access for caravans and trailers, and tents are very welcome. Guests must bring their own toileting system or choose to rent the camp toilet tent when booking. At this stage, we can offer 10-amp power, but all water must be BYO. Caravans may require levellers due to a very mild slope on the site, though they are not essential. A fire pit is available during non-fire-ban periods.
There is enough space for two caravans if you'd like to book with friends. Strictly no parties or amplified music. This is also our family home, though the campsite is screened from our house by trees and shrubbery, so noise should be kept to a minimum after 9 pm. Please note that the campsite is next to the road, and there will be noises from cars but it's not too busy.

• Clifton Beach (surfing): 10 mins
• Hobart Airport: 20 mins
• Coal River Valley wine region: 25 mins
• Hobart CBD: 30 mins (outside peak traffic hours)

LAT 41 SOUTH was created during COVID-19 as a getaway for all to enjoy a
camping area for all. Come and rest, relax and enjoy a digital detox and/or quality time with friends and family. If you have a question just ask.

Using the bush as a bathroom is not accepted on my property. As you stay right on the river I will not compromise the integrity of the water and surrounding environment. You must bring your port-a-potty and be prepared to show it to me if I ask you too. Don't take this as a personal insult I am trying to stay a good citizen of the planet.

Loved it so much, we booked another three more nights. Such a peaceful spot and the spot we picked sheltered us from the wind so much that it felt calmer here than in adventure bay itself. Such a great spot for a great price. We will be back.

2a 2c 1k9 all had a great time at Ladychapel! Nigel was quick and clear with communication for arrival and to share his tips for our stay. The location was a great base to explore the island but also a peaceful and relaxing spot to "hang out". A big property with lots of different spots to set up camp and for the dog and kids to explore.

A fantastic quiet and sheltered location. We used this as a base for day tripping to Hobart. The weather on our second night was very rough however with the site nestled where it is we were still able to have a camp fire. Jenni is lovely and although it's only a small property the site is private enough. I'd definitely stay here again and would recommend if you're having a look around the area or just needed somewhere close to Hobart to unwind for a few days.

James hospitality was great the sauna and the cold plunge pool was excellent. We enjoyed the weekend with them. Will definitely go back. It is a great place to stay right on the river .You can go for bush walk , bike rides ,ride into Derby. It is a great place to be based yourself.

We enjoyed the stay at Prosser’s, the view was beautiful, a really calm place, moreover, the toilet was absolutely clean and smelled good. There are many farepits onside and it is really spacious.

Camping in the bush was so magical, we enjoyed our nights stay at Quoll Hideaway Camp! Sadly didn’t manage to see any quolls, but plenty of wallabies to watch :) the temperatures at night was also so comfortable to allow us a great night’s rest. Linda has been so helpful and friendly, we definitely recommend this spot!

Great place to camp. A lot of open spaces to choose from. We chose to stay up the top where you could get a view of the ocean (which looked great under the full moon). This was great for our camper trailer and the ground was easy to peg into.
Nigel met us as we arrived and suggested where we should go to keep out of the wind and gave us suggestions as to where we should visit around the island.
The track up the hill and to the spots is a bit rutted out so you’d definitely need a 4WD to access the camp spots. There was fire wood there that we could have paid for to use but had brought our own. There’s also limited to no phone reception, which was fine but worth noting.
This campsite is a quick drive to the beach (2 tree point) and fairly close to adventure bay.
Nigel left us to enjoy our campsite and gave us a friendly goodbye as we left the next morning.

1 night at Valley's Nest
The things that stood out the most about the stay , was the position of the cabin , well thought out Layout of the site . BushGlamping that ticked all the boxes for us . Loved the Fire Bath with a view . The cabin windows allowed for good warming Before the evening Chill came through, and was warm all night thanks to good bed covers .
The View from the site was amazing thanks to good weather and sunsets, the mountains in the background are wild .
