Eeyore’s Campsite was the perfect tranquil spot to celebrate our Christmas 2025. It was wild weather but the terrain and adjacent forest protected us very well from the strong winds. We loved seeing the many furry critters busily mowing the grass and our friendly welcoming hosts couldn’t have been more helpful. We would highly recommend this HipCamp to anyone wanting to enjoy a peaceful spot nestled in a lovely natural setting.

What a great camp on this beautiful property. If you are looking for a peaceful place to relax, then this is it. Horses, big old trees and mountain views that’s what you will see. Need to be self contained but there is a flushing toilet available. Very friendly hosts who give you a wave if they are going past.

Super easy to find, amazing to find somewhere that accepts tents, no contact with host is helpful for pulling in late and leaving early. Mostly flat gravel area and grassy area, toilet itself clean but the sink is right below where bird's nest so was a bit dirty. Not a bother, we have hand sanitizer. Great spot between Cradle Mountain and Hobart ish direction of you're looking for something easy.

5/5 stars. The woodlander is a great spot and being right in the middle of North and south bruny, the location was extremely convenient to all the attractions. The site itself was secluded and peaceful and the wood heater was very welcome on the winter nights when we stayed. The hobbit hut made cooking a breeze and was a handy add-on.

The camp ground was clean and very well laid out. It rained heaps whilst we were there but the site handled the weather without any issues. The fire was great and the hobbit hut was a nice dry spot with the wet weather. This is a very good winter camp ground. We can't wait to try it in the summer.

A nice spot to camp within a fenced area not too far off the road, got a nice view of the distant hills , some cars passing on road nearby but pretty quiet spot to camp for the night, some nice bird life around including some rosellas pirching in the trees. Great private site by a waterhole with a little shelter shed (the Hobbit Hut), picnic table, wood stove and composting loo. The site is nice and flat with shady trees (but not too shady 🌞). The location is nice and central to alot of Bruny attractions and the hosts communicate really well.

Craigie Knowe Vineyard is a working vineyard and cellar door, set on 20 hectares, with 5 hectares under vine. It is the oldest vineyard on the beautiful East Coast of Tasmania. The homestead was built in 1836 and is one of the most photographed houses in Tasmania. Please note Hipcamp charge an additional charge on top of the $25.00. Please look at our website for options. The cellar door is open 11-4, and offers chocolate and wine pairings, and normal tastings. We also have a restaurant on site open from 11:30 - 3:00 daily during summer. It is a beautiful vineyard with plenty of outside seating. There are also 5 other cellar doors within 10 minutes of the property, so it's a great basecamp for wine lovers! We have plenty of level ground, ideal for pulling up for a night or several. Please note, all campers must be self-contained, with their own toilet, and we kindly ask you take all waste with you. Just outside the property, the Swan River flows past, a great place to cool off on hot days, sometimes there are fish there too. Swansea is 16km away and Bicheno is 26km away. Both towns have IGA supermarkets, bottle shops and restaurants, and plenty of history. Freycinet National Park is 40 minutes, and makes for a great day trip, with beautiful walks, fantastic scenery, and of course iconic Wine Glass Bay.

The site offers water views, backing on to bushland. The Mount Managa Forest Reserve is very close by, with access to forestry tracks for bikes and hikes. Also very close to some great beaches where you can enjoy water activities. There is a boat ramp on the other side of bay approximately 5kms away. There are shops and cafes just down the road at Adventure Bay. 1.5 hours drive from Hobart. Guests must be full self contained with their own toilet/shower facilities and must take all waste with them on departure. Campfires are welcome in the fire pit provided. South of the Bay of Fires, North of Wineglass Bay. A beautiful bush acreage located a five minute amble from Beaumaris Beach. The eastern side has a cleared area with little private nooks to tuck yourself into. Please note it is a bush block, not the Hilton ;) but it is peaceful and safe. Ocean Drive is asphalt to the front gate, then it is firm, level, all weather access to the camping sites. There is a rough map of the property in the photos indicating the location of the various sites. I generally like to welcome people at thee gate if I am about but I'm not always here. Don't hesitate to contact me by phone or message. There is clean and well maintained public toilets two hundred metres away. Plenty of kindling is available and camp fires allowed when https://www.fire.tas.gov.au/fire-danger-rating/ is not a total ban. Keep under a metre, ensure the ground is cleared around and attend until extinguished. Pets are welcome, especially dogs 👍 There are private walking trails on the property. St Helens is under fifteen minutes away, Bay of Fires 25 minutes. Scamander 5 minutes. The famous St Helens bike trails are under ten minutes drive or accessible on your bike via the back trails. Ride direct to the trail heads! There is fantastic nine hole golf course at Scamander. Huckaway is a little camping oasis just off the Tasman Highway. Green pastures are bordered by forestry land to the East and a river to the South. Go for a bush walk through the forest, a swim or fish in the river, you might even find a trout! This property is the perfect location if you are here to enjoy either the Derby trails or the St Helens trails with some of the shuttles going straight past the front gate! St Helens is a 15-minute drive away and The Bay of Fires is 30 mins. The wide camping area has plenty of open flat space to park any type of caravan or van. Park down near the river, or tuck yourself in beside the forest, up to you. All campers need to be self-contained, with their own camp toilet, and we kindly request you take all your waste with you. There is a dump station in St Helens. Well-behaved pets are welcome also! Please be mindful that dogs do not chase the neighbours cows and please pick up after them. Please always be mindful of ours neighbours and their animals, they sometimes have cows and sheep grazing on the property. Please do not use their water taps.

Wood available for sale at camp to use in fire pits for just $10 a tub. We have just put in a private dump point for guest convince. When you arrive with a big trailer enter through the WOODEN GATES and stay on the flat. Walk up and visit the farmhouse.
