Edgehill Farm Stays is located between Barossa and Clare Valley, 7km out of Riverton, and 1 hour north of Adelaide. We run a sheep and cropping farm which creates beautiful camping grounds at the foot of the hills, just below the Heysen Trail.
The campsites are located on the pasture paddocks of the farm with sheep roaming the area, so dogs on leashes at all times, and please pick up after them. With large distances between other campers, each site can cater for large groups, with no close neighbours. The sites are at least 2km away from busy roads, so absolute peace and privacy!
There's a beautiful push bike ride from Riverton to Clare Valley and all the wineries are along the way. Plenty of room at the property for kids to ride their push bikes.
Fantastic sunsets and sunrises from all sites, and at its best at the SUNSET BAA. Beautiful bird noises, including the kookaburras having a laugh.
There's a very very basic "long drop toilet" pit toilet located near the Gumtree paddock
and 5 others shared, down close to the camping paddocks, if not wanting to use shared toilets, please bring and supply your own portable toilet.

Gum Park is a working Cattle Property where our family lives and works full time. We also have a butchery on farm where we process our own beef for sale at local farmer's markets. The creek line paddocks are dedicated to Hipcampers, so you can be assured your campsite won't be interrupted by curious cows during your stay. We can't say the same for the wild kangaroos that call Tanah Merdeka home though.
Please be respectful of the working nature of the property and shut any gates you go through except for the automatic gates. Please respect our privacy and don't venture up the driveway towards the house.
You are welcome to walk through and explore the paddocks containing the creek line. Do not drive across the creek - walking and bicycles only.
Please do not feed the wildlife or the cattle and practice leave no trace camping. For stays longer than one night campers must bring a portable chemical toilet. Use only the firepit provided and comply with current fire danger restrictions. Some firewood may be available next to the firepit but please bring your own firewood if intending to have a fire as this can't be guaranteed.

Edenvale Pastorals was originally established as a solider settlers farm, and later was purchased by the Wilmott family in 2001 and converted to regenerative cell grazing cattle farm. The farm was leased for a few years, up until the recent 2019-2020 bush fires.
Since the bush fires our family has decided to move back onto the farm and start the rebuild. We will be continuing with the sustainable farming practices and want to give people the opportunity to stay and enjoy the west end.
No need to bring your own tent, stay with up to three people in a suspended tent! We can also provide bedding. Should you have a group larger than three, where some people can bring their own gear, we have space for them too.
We have a hot outdoor shower, and compost toilet. Pets are also welcome, however must not be in the tent, and must not harass the wildlife.
The suspended tent sleeps 3 people maximum. If you have any additional people who bring their own camping gear they are welcome to book our other listing 'Jump Off Road Camp (own gear).'
The surrounding paddocks are home to our cattle that pass through occasionally, and during the afternoons you have the opportunity to observe the abundant wild life that come to life, as well as a healthy bird life among the trees.
On your stay you have the choice of enjoying the walks and hikes through out the De'mole river and Cape Torrens that are at your door step, go sightseeing in the national park, the De Tong Ling Stupa, Billy Goat water falls or even Western River Cove or just relax and enjoy the serenity of your suspended tree tent experience.Either way, we hope you enjoy what the west end has to offer.
Flinders Chase National Park is 40km via bitumen road or 27 km via Shackle road. Keep up to date with road closures through Flinders Chase national park website. Cape Borda Light house is 23km from our farm, there are several hikes in that area such as the Ravine Des Casoars and Harveys return. Keep tabs on their website as the park is closed, however still accessible by foot from the gate.
De Tong Ling Stupa is 20km from our farm and is open to the public to visit. Billy Goat waterfalls generally has water flowing through mid winter, but regardless is a beautiful easy hike that comes alive with fungus and orchids early winter and during spring.
Be mindful we are 45 minutes from the closest fuel station, at Parndana, and most places close early so it would be wise to be well prepared before getting here. 15km of the road is dirt, just take it easy if you're in a 2wd, and be aware of eagles, kangaroos and wallabies.

Avondale is a working family farm located perfectly between both the beautiful Clare Valley and picturesque Barossa. Located approximately 11 kms from Riverton and an hour north of Adelaide.
Our campground consists of 6 designated van sites with a central fire pit. Individual fire buckets and wood can be provided at an extra charge ($25). Our camping sites are located in a picturesque tree lined gully. A precious slice of untouched beauty. Please don’t help yourself to our trees (no chainsaws).
As we are a working farm, with sheep and alpacas surrounding the campsite, dogs must remain on lead at all times. It is also dog owners responsibility to cleanup after their pets. Please also remain on designated tracks to walk along. Views of sunsets from the top of the hill are breathtaking. Please also always leave gates as you find them.
The local council district provides cafes, amazing pub food (our personal favourite, The Tarlee Hotel), bakeries and push bike tracks. Not to mention wineries.
Generators are welcome, but please be respectful of fellow campers. No motorbikes to be ridden on property, but push bikes welcome. There is currently no toilet or potable water available.

We offer a wide grassy area peppered with trees, ideal for a relaxing spacious camp. No toilet facilities onsite so campers must be self-contained.
Our site is located along the Lavender Federation Walking Trail.
7km from Springton General Store where you can pick up all basic supplies including fuel and simple takeaway meals, or Springton pub across the road has pub meals.
25 mins to Angaston (with the Barossa Valley Cheese Company) and the wider Barossa area.
30 mins the other direction to Woodside (where you will find Melba’s chocolate factory) and the greater Adelaide hills.
25mins to the Birdwood Motor Museum
30mins to the Big Rocking Horse in Gumeracha where you can climb the Big Rocking Horse for $2.
15km to Eagle View 4WD Track (Sanderston)
If you’re here on a Saturday morning the Mount Pleasant Farms Markets (8am-12), 10 mins down the road is a great place to pick up some fresh produce and a coffee.
Mannum Waterfalls - 30 mins drive is a beautiful spot for a walk.

Beautiful property, with very private site. Location is great to explore the Barossa but come back to the peace and quiet to relax.
Paul was a great host and super responsive. We had a slight issue when leaving (due to our fault and having a very large van) but Paul was super helpful in helping us get out the the jam.

Unreal spot overlooking the Barossa. Beautiful green hills, located far enough from the other campsites to not hear anything and stunning sunset views. Paul was responsive and would deliver firewood to the site. A short drive to Tanunda and the wineries, and would recommend this 100% to anyone planning to stay in the area.

Had a great stay at Paul’s campsite in the Barossa! Paul was a fantastic host, friendly, welcoming and easy to communicate with. The campsite was peaceful, clean and in a beautiful location, making it the perfect spot to relax, unwind and enjoy a couple of cold ones! 🍻

Such a lovely spot to get away from it all and so close to the city too! My kids loved waking up to the sheep all around our camping site and seeing the neighboring horses.
We loved how easy it was to get around the property and the owners were kind enough to block off our site entrance to reduce my traffic coming through our site which was appreciated.

Our first night using Hipcamp. Toilet was very good - clean, clear instructions on how to use and very little smell. Campsite had plenty of room so we didn’t feel like we were too close to the other two groups. Enjoyed the bird life.

I’ve visited this property multiple times now and I’ll keep coming back.
The location is so secluded but only a few minutes out of Angaston.
The views of the Barossa during the day and at night are amazing.
Theres plenty of open space for my two young kids to run around and explore safely.
Paul is so accommodating and helpful.
I’ll be back again!
