Hilltop provides amazing views over the Barossa Valley, accessible by 4wd so unfortunately only available to campers, rooftop tents or competent driver with off-road camping trailer. Camping amongst large gums and the occasional kangaroo or if you’re very lucky an echidna You will be in an area with livestock so expect the occasional inquisitive lamb. Less than 10 minutes to all major Barossa towns.

Creekside is hidden away at the top of rockyvalley, the site has slight undulations but you’ll be surrounded by large gums and the escarpment above. Perfect to relax and enjoy tranquility of where you are and a great place to explore the Barossa from

Gums

Gums is a spectacular hilltop escape overlooking the sweeping Barossa Valley, a spot that feels made for campers who love wide‑open views and a real sense of space. Reaching it does require a 4WD, so it’s best suited to rooftop tents, off‑road trailers, or anyone confident driving on rugged terrain. Once you’re up there, you’ll be camping beneath towering gums, sharing the landscape with kangaroos, the occasional echidna, and the curious lambs that wander through from nearby grazing land. Despite feeling wonderfully remote, you’re less than ten minutes from all major Barossa towns. The site’s elevated position is part of its magic—those panoramic vistas are unforgettable—but it also means you’re more exposed to the elements. On calm days it’s breathtaking; on windy days it can be challenging.

Valley View
Our stay at Rocky Valley was great! The views from the campsite over the Barossa are spectacular and we had the space completely to ourselves. I would highly recommend staying at the Valley View camp-site. Its so close to Tanunda and yet feels miles away from anyone.
