We have two paddocks on the back of the olive grove with breath-taking views. Enjoy a walk through our gardens and olive grove. You are welcome to roam our entire property - we just suggest wearing enclosed shoes. We have some very friendly farm animals - Olly the goat. Barb, Shaun, Dodge, Daisy, Duke, Georgie, Gracie and babies Leslie & Bo who all love carrots and apples. This is a full working farm and we restore vintage caravans and classic cars. You will see us pottering in the garden or walking our poodle, but we will leave you to your privacy. We have a beautiful vintage bus that we have converted into a farm shop and you can buy olives, relishes, honey, jam, seasonings, magnesium and more. We welcome small gatherings to celebrate birthdays, engagements or function (Christmas etc) just let us know during the booking process. We would appreciate quiet after 10pm. We are only 8 minutes from shops in town and a short drive for all of the Scenic Rim's attractions. We are in the heart of The Scenic Rim. The camping grounds is private and picturesque in our back paddocks - looking back over our olive grove and out to the great dividing range. We have fire pits set up in the camp area - please bring an extinguisher, wood and matches. The camp grounds has an easy access and campers have had no issues levelling out on the gentle slope or go higher up the paddock to the trees and the ground is level with the best views of the mountain ranges. Olive View Farm is ideal for self sufficient campers. At the front of the property near the bus shop we have permanent picnic tables set up for anyone to use. Dogs on a lead are welcome - we have lots of Kangaroos and Wallabies and we want to protect them. We are always on site and happy to help with anything you need. *Please note any negative feedback for camping received was from a festival that took place on our property in 2022 and the event organisers promised the campers facilities and did not deliver. Unfortunately Hipcamp won't remove these comments and we had no management of these customers. ALL other positive comments are through us direct.

"Mckenzie Glen" and offers a private camping experience for families and their dogs. The camp allows for self contained tent campers and caravans, camp trailers or RVs. We only allow 1 group at a time, so there will never be any other guests on the property whilst you are there. So once it is booked, the place is entirely yours. For example, if 3 families would like trip away with the kids, it will be exclusive to your group. There is a plentiful supply of firewood around the block that can be collected, if there isn't a load already near the fire. A load of wood is normally replenished once a month and left next to the firepit. There is very limited mobile phone reception along Eukey Road and it is almost non-existent at the camp. Which is great if you want a digital detox! However, there is a way you can still be connected and these details can be provided upon request. There is no toilet... yet. We do sometimes dig a drop toilet but this is not available all the time and it moves frequently. There is a small post hole digger with a bottomless bucket toilet (more affectionately called "Chainsaw") set that you can dig a hole for a toilet and a cage that gives some privacy (see the photos). But please make sure you fill it in with your finished and all the toilet paper is buried at least a foot under the ground. It gets it name from the rodeo bull "Chainsaw" because if you dig the hole too wide and can last 8 seconds on the seat, you're a legend! SO good tip for campers if you want to use it. A favourite thing to do at the camp is to have sundowners on what we call the "Zen Rock". It is a large rock formation about 100m the east of the camp. You can't miss it. There is an incredible amount of bird life around and a family of magpies live in trees just near the camp kitchen (they are friendly). You will often be woken by the Kookaburras and see the gorgeous Rosella's cruising around picking at grass seed. McKenzie Glen provides a swag deck that is large enough for 2 double swags side by side. There is a fully fitted camp kitchen which includes a gas stove. Our point of difference is that for a family who can’t afford all the kitchen camping equipment etc - you will have 'most' of the luxury's of home. You will need an esky for your food and drinks. There is no power, however the kitchen has a small fixed 12 volt system that will run the small pump for the kitchen and the lights. You'll see the switches. There may also be some cattle on the property, they are agisted by my lovely neighbours. They are usually weaners or cows and calves. McKenzie Glen - Granite & Eucalypt Camp is a stones throw of the Girraween National Park, a number of Granite Belt wineries and it is not too far down the road is Storm King Dam where (now that its full) is great for fishing and kayaking and boating. The area used to be mined for Tin. Keep any eye out for lumps of granite rocks on the ground and if your lucky enough you might find some with flicks of tin. If you hold the rock up to the light you can see the fecks shine in the light. If you are a coffee lover like me, there is St. Jude's Cafe down the road on the New England Highway at Ballandean. I highly recommend popping over to Ballandean Estate Wines on Sundowner Road, they've been making wine since 1932. The smell of the food coming from their Barrel Room Restaurant will draw you in even if you're not hungry (you can book a table on line so you don't miss out). And if you like a good country pub meal and a cold beer, then the Ballandean Tavern is the go. Both St. Judes and the Ballandean Tavern are only 8.8km from the camp. To the North of the camp, this bushland is a declared bushfire zone. To stay aware of radio broadcasts, the local ABC channels are 104.9 (ABC radio) 103.3 (Triple J).

Located 70kms from the Granite Belt. 50kms from the Coolmunda dam and 60kms from Texas. Quiet, hills with fantastic views of the surrounding countryside. This is a grazing property where you can obseve sheep, cattle, and roos, and if you are lucky a few emus. In the little dams and ponds they drink from you often see ducks and other waterfowl. Gullies with ankle-deep spring-fed seasonal creeks. Are scattered thoughout the property. Pleasant to walk along, many accessed by walking or 4wd track only. Trail bikes or pushbikes welcome. There are great areas to hike, explore, and birdwatch. There is no light pollution so you see the amazing display of stars at night. At the top of each hill is a pleasant view. Nice photos to show off on fb or instagram. Campfires permitted, please make sure you put them out when not attended. Water container top-up, shower, and toilet shed available And a power point to charge phone. No internet. But if you must contact someone, do see us at the house. We now have bush dunnies at various locations. They are long drops. You're welcome to bring your pet, but please ensure they are kept on leash To camp, most people just chose a cleared spot. Popular areas are near the sheaing shed, or emu hollow. Sometimes we have pig hunters . They are down the back. Away from campers for your safety. When they are present some areas on photos are not accessable. Accessable at all times:- House paddock. shearing shed toilets showers, small dam. Hill with a view. Emu Hollow, accessable by high clearence 2wd .it is in a paddock wih pleasnt views and down the bottom is small shallow pleasant creek to sit by and watch cows grazing . Great for a family group or couple to escape the city madness. it has a long drop dunny. Both are 300 acres. If no piggers, the whole 2500 acres is yours to explore. If it rains, or you arrive too late to set up, we have a spare bed room with a double bunk sleeps 2 adjoining the shed near house $30. per night to use. You can also sleep in the shearing shed. And look at the equipent and fill a bag of manure for your garden. We have a few freindly sheep. And you can toss your food scraps to our chooks. Excursions. Coolmunda dam .40k. CURRENTLY CLOSED. We are a small 107 acre farm on the Great Dividing Range, a 10 minute drive from Toowoomba. Hopetoun Hills is a tranquil place to relax with water ducks, kangaroos, wallabies and all sorts of birds including the wedge tail eagles that come back to nest every year! Sadly in the drier months, our dam may not be full and the grass not green! YOU MUST BE FULLY SELF CONTAINED. You MUST have TOILET (that you take with you when you leave), and SHOWERING facilities. If you do not have these then we are very sorry but we can not accommodate you, and if you do arrive and don't have these facilities we can't allow you to stay. This is a health issue for other campers, ourselves and our stock. Our property is not suitable for young children due to the creek, dam, electric fencing and stock. We welcome dogs, although they must be kept on a lead and/or contained for the courtesy of other guests, and we have livestock such as cattle, calves, horses, a donkey and a bull who don't take well to strange dogs. There are a few places you may choose to camp and the spacious room allows privacy if you wish to have early nights/early mornings and not be too close to others. We don't allow party groups/parties due to the courtesy of other campers and we do ask that you remember; this is a farm not a caravan park, there are cattle and horses. We can provide potable water for campers staying more than a few days, or travelling on the road. You will require appropriate water jerry cans/drums or we can fill your tanks up directly from the shed. In the warmer months you can sleep with windows, doors and hatch's open in the tranquil country setting. Your caravan is not visible from the road, or accessible without passing the main residence if you wish to tour around our beautiful town and outlying area's. We're less than a ten minute drive from Kmart / Coles / Woolworths, although when you're here you would never know! There is so much to see in and around Toowoomba and the Darling Down's, from coffee shops, mural walks, bike paths through the beautiful parks and much more. We don't accept check in's after dark, so if you are going to be late please contact us with the mobile number provided within 24 hours prior to check in.

There is a fee per vehicle with every booking, and we need to know if it is 2WD or 4WD as many of our campsites are 4WD only. We have limited usage on Tamrookum Creek road per day and pay a levy per vehicle. The vehicle fee is listed under extras. If you want to drive the 28 kilometres of tracks scattered throughout the property during your stay 7am to 6pm there is an additional one-off payment $45 per vehicle. Our entry check-in time 7am with vacating before 6pm We also offer people with 4WD vehicles to just come out for a day’s drive 7am to 6pm to access the 4WD tracks. Vehicles pay $55 weekend and PH or $45 mid-week for a day visit no camping. Camping: We have 2 camping areas for 2WD and caravan access Opposite Lock A to H sites and the 14's A to E sites. Our check in time is from 7am and check out time the following day before 6pm All other sites are 4WD access. These are not advertised on this platform. As this is an instant payment platform, we do consider credits for valid reasons unable to arrive but must be discussed. Property: A 695-acre council registered tourist back-to-basic bush camping and 4WD park located in the picturesque Scenic Rim region just over an hour drive from Brisbane and the Gold Coast. Perfect for 4WD enthusiasts, bushwalkers, mountain bikers, and anyone that just wants to get back to nature. Amenities: We encourage self-sufficient bush camping. There are chemical toilets near the campsites. "Mckenzie Glen" and offers a private camping experience for families and their dogs. The camp allows for self contained tent campers and caravans, camp trailers or RVs. We only allow 1 group at a time, so there will never be any other guests on the property whilst you are there. So once it is booked, the place is entirely yours. For example, if 3 families would like trip away with the kids, it will be exclusive to your group. There is a plentiful supply of firewood around the block that can be collected, if there isn't a load already near the fire. A load of wood is normally replenished once a month and left next to the firepit. There is very limited mobile phone reception along Eukey Road and it is almost non-existent at the camp. Which is great if you want a digital detox! However, there is a way you can still be connected and these details can be provided upon request. There is no toilet... yet. We do sometimes dig a drop toilet but this is not available all the time and it moves frequently. There is a small post hole digger with a bottomless bucket toilet (more affectionately called "Chainsaw") set that you can dig a hole for a toilet and a cage that gives some privacy (see the photos). But please make sure you fill it in with your finished and all the toilet paper is buried at least a foot under the ground. It gets it name from the rodeo bull "Chainsaw" because if you dig the hole too wide and can last 8 seconds on the seat, you're a legend! SO good tip for campers if you want to use it. A favourite thing to do at the camp is to have sundowners on what we call the "Zen Rock". It is a large rock formation about 100m the east of the camp. You can't miss it. There is an incredible amount of bird life around and a family of magpies live in trees just near the camp kitchen (they are friendly). You will often be woken by the Kookaburras and see the gorgeous Rosella's cruising around picking at grass seed. McKenzie Glen provides a swag deck that is large enough for 2 double swags side by side. There is a fully fitted camp kitchen which includes a gas stove. Our point of difference is that for a family who can’t afford all the kitchen camping equipment etc - you will have 'most' of the luxury's of home. You will need an esky for your food and drinks. There is no power, however the kitchen has a small fixed 12 volt system that will run the small pump for the kitchen and the lights. You'll see the switches. There may also be some cattle on the property, they are agisted by my lovely neighbours. They are usually weaners or cows and calves. McKenzie Glen - Granite & Eucalypt Camp is a stones throw of the Girraween National Park, a number of Granite Belt wineries and it is not too far down the road is Storm King Dam where (now that its full) is great for fishing and kayaking and boating. The area used to be mined for Tin. Keep any eye out for lumps of granite rocks on the ground and if your lucky enough you might find some with flicks of tin. If you hold the rock up to the light you can see the fecks shine in the light. If you are a coffee lover like me, there is St. Jude's Cafe down the road on the New England Highway at Ballandean. I highly recommend popping over to Ballandean Estate Wines on Sundowner Road, they've been making wine since 1932. The smell of the food coming from their Barrel Room Restaurant will draw you in even if you're not hungry (you can book a table on line so you don't miss out). And if you like a good country pub meal and a cold beer, then the Ballandean Tavern is the go. Both St. Judes and the Ballandean Tavern are only 8.8km from the camp. To the North of the camp, this bushland is a declared bushfire zone. To stay aware of radio broadcasts, the local ABC channels are 104.9 (ABC radio) 103.3 (Triple J).

This is a grazing property where you can obseve sheep, cattle, and roos, and if you are lucky a few emus. In the little dams and ponds they drink from you often see ducks and other waterfowl. If it rains, or you arrive too late to set up, we have a spare bed room with a double bunk sleeps 2 adjoining the shed near house $30. per night to use. You can also sleep in the shearing shed. We don't allow party groups/parties due to the courtesy of other campers and we do ask that you remember; this is a farm not a caravan park, there are cattle and horses. We can provide potable water for campers staying more than a few days, or travelling on the road. An occasional koala can be seen high up in the trees. * We have a rural residential property with access to untamed native Australian bush which is close to everything special in the Scenic Rim of Queensland. * Our property is accessible from the Cunningham highway opposite the BP service Station. Preferable for 4 x 4 vehicles in the wet. During the dry season any vehicle can gain access. * Children will enjoy the benefits of camping and the close encounters with farm animals. The Camel Farm, Alpaca farms and For Real Milk dairy are all found in the Scenic Rim area and allow for visitors. Please find details on the Internet prior to your booking and confirm places. * its a hop step and jump to Boonah and Moogerah Dam - 15mins * just down the road to cafes and country markets. * a scenic drive awaits you to the Gold Coast 2 hours drive East * Shopping and entertainment can be found in Brisbane 1 hour drive North * Its an ideal place for Gray nomads with the occasional option of caretaking rent free * Our property offers an Adventurous family get away Our campsites are on high open grassy country with shady spotted gums along the creek. Access to the campsites is a short distance off the Cunningham Highway gate entry. Preference is for all vehicle types. Offroad RV length is limited to under 20ft. The type of vehicle and RV will dictate where your campsite would be located. Pets are welcome (dogs, cats, birds, reptiles) but must stay within the camp sites and be restrained by owners. Please do not free roam your pet on this camp site. All pets must be contained to the camp site either on a leash or in their crates. We are at risk of violating the neighbours property should your pets be unresponsive to your voice commands. We welcome self-contained campers who bring their own camping amenities. These are off grid camp grounds with a picnic table, braziers and camp bin available for communal use. Firewood of various types can be found along the creek with the option to purchase firewood from our stock.

Loved that we were the only ones here. What a beautiful well maintained area. We enjoyed choosing one of a number of fire pits to set up our camp ovens. There was a port a loo available for use (which we did not use). We “wallowed” in the little rapids of the McIntyre Brooke to cool down and enjoyed watching the stars and satellites during the evening. What a perfect getaway. We laughed at the way the goats “frolicked “ on the rocks across the creek and enjoyed watching the Roos jumping past. Overall, wow , what a great place. ❣️

We chose a spot at the top of the hill tucked away in the corner where the ground was most level. It was very peaceful and picturesque with views for miles. It was a great location for exploring the scenic rim which has so much to offer.

Beautiful place to stay, love the free roaming goats, wallabies, cows, sheep and emus. The river is full of tabbies and little shrimp and fish and lots of safe areas to let your kids go fishing. Water is deep enough to swim in, we even managed to get our kayaks in the water tho got stuck on rock in a few places.
