The camp grounds has an easy access and campers have had no issues levelling out on the gentle slope or go higher up the paddock to the trees and the ground is level with the best views of the mountain ranges. Olive View Farm is ideal for self sufficient campers. At the front of the property near the bus shop we have permanent picnic tables set up for anyone to use. Dogs on a lead are welcome - we have lots of Kangaroos and Wallabies and we want to protect them. We are always on site and happy to help with anything you need. *Please note any negative feedback for camping received was from a festival that took place on our property in 2022 and the event organisers promised the campers facilities and did not deliver. Look for the big red letterbox with the blue flag on the right. This spot is for people that think that they are the only ones left in the world. Once at the top, it's yours to live in peace and quiet. 56 acres of undulating hills covered with native bush land, with 10 cleared sites for you to set up camp. If you like an adventure then this mountain is for you. 2 sites called "Top of the world tent site 1 and tent site 2" are accessible by 4WD only (tent camping is advised) There is a step 19 degree road up to the penthouse summit thats at 1000ft. However if it is dry you can tow a camping trailer but only if you have a winch. If it rains the only way down is backwards tethered to trees via your winch. It's an adventure. Campers are welcome to have a campfire, there is plenty of timber on the ground that you can collect or bring your own. As long as there is no fire ban. There are some great bush walks you can enjoy, including down to the creek (about a 40 min walk). The creek is picturesque with lemon trees and peach trees along the edge while in season. There are 2 sites down at the creek called Firefly's and platypus and these are for off road self contained 4x4 campers and those with a tent. The creek is pristine and crystal clear unless it's raining. These 2 sites are absolutely private if you book them both. If you don't mind sharing the creek with another camper then you only need to book 1 site. There is also a 10 month of the year 30 metre high waterfall (depending on rain fall this waterfall can vary from massive water to slow water) and another seasonal waterfall. Don't forget the dam for swimming with the spa tub and fresh mountain spring water constantly flowing into it from an inch and a half poly pipe constantly overflowing into the dam. The water in the creek is safe to drink with no filter needed. The creek is running and crystal clear and very private. If you are in a 2 wheel drive RV/ Motorhome you can book the "Paw Paw hill site" or "a dam good view" There is one site that is all grass accessible in the dry weather. Plenty of drinking water is also available at all sites either via a tap or the creek running water. All campers MUST HAVE their own portable toilet. If no portable toilet you can purchase one from many camping stores at a reasonable price before coming. Doing number 2 in the bush is totally unacceptable. Because this is a leave no trace camp site we do ask you to take all trash with you when you leave as well. There is no council rubbish collection in this area. We respect our beautiful paradise and we know you will appreciate it also. If you make a fire please leave it so I can mow around it once you leave. E.G Please remove all sticks.

If mountain climbing is your thing then this is the place to be, with the Scenic Rim's mountains no more than an hour away. Koalas, Wallabies, Wedge Tailed Eagles, birds of all sorts, a babbling brook and still close to the great Shed Cafe. Art classes are possible 10 minutes away at Frog Hollow. Swimming at the Lower Portals is a 15 minute drive and a walk. A drink at the Rathdowney Pub or a 45 minute drive to the Scenic Rim Brewery. Boonah and it's great cafes, is only a 40 minutes drive. This area is fabulous for checking out the scenery and it's not far to the Lions Road. Ideal for family groups. There is no to patchy internet / mobile coverage on the property. If there is an emergency we have a landline.

A beautiful piece of remnant forest on the bank of the Nerang River, with a swimming hole that is second to none. The tree tent is situated in a small forest clearing overlooking the river rapids. The site has a compact outdoor kitchen complete with refrigerator, an outdoor hot shower, a firepit and a separate composting toilet. Sails are rigged above the tent to provide extra shade and shelter. It's private and shady but only a few minutes from the house. The valley is a gem, only 200 odd people live here. If you love the outdoors - either just to chill or to actively recreate - this place is for you. As an outdoor educator, I have worked and played in the valley and surrounds for more than 25 years and I'm still discovering new things to see and do! Advancetown Lake is a short drive away with paddling, sailing and fishing and no power boats or jetskis (Yeeha!!) There is a mountain bike park on the E side of the dam. You can walk from here to Springbrook and Lamington National Parks and the glow worms at Natural Bridge are a night time "must see".

We also have facilities for children to learn about farm animals. All our animals including horses, cattle, chooks, guineas and dogs can be approached and touched without harm to children. The geese are a little skittish about this. :) Our property is a stroll away from Aratula in the Scenic Rim. The hidden creek on our property is home to a host of native wildlife and fauna. An occasional koala can be seen high up in the trees. * We have a rural residential property with access to untamed native Australian bush which is close to everything special in the Scenic Rim of Queensland. * Our property is accessible from the Cunningham highway opposite the BP service Station. Access to the campsites is a short distance off the Cunningham Highway gate entry. Preference is for all vehicle types. Offroad RV length is limited to under 20ft. The type of vehicle and RV will dictate where your campsite would be located. Pets are welcome (dogs, cats, birds, reptiles) but must stay within the camp sites and be restrained by owners. Please do not free roam your pet on this camp site. All pets must be contained to the camp site either on a leash or in their crates. We are at risk of violating the neighbours property should your pets be unresponsive to your voice commands. We welcome self-contained campers who bring their own camping amenities. These are off grid camp grounds with a picnic table, braziers and camp bin available for communal use. Firewood of various types can be found along the creek with the option to purchase firewood from our stock.

We have a variety of campsites to choose from. . Camping is presently basic as we are building it up and is better suited for campers with fully equipped 4WD. Not all sites have toilets we ve now 3 toilets 1 bottom space 1 mid and 1 at top . Some campsites are more secluded than others, some have toilets some dont and of course great views. The kids will love toasting marshmallows around the campfire in the evenings. Sit back, relax and gaze at the stars. Pets welcome. The property is hilly and may be unsuitable for camper homes. No harming the wildlife, our wildlife is harmless if you do not provoke it or threaten it, Please use water wisely . There are dams and water holes and drains on the property as it is a working farm.

1 night at Belmont Base Camp

This camp close to motorway which was great for us to get our running around done. It is a large grassy block with a lovely breeze. The block is utilised to store some other vans but we were the only campers at the time. We really appreciated the early check in and late check out. Having access to power and water made it a great spot to recharge before we continued on our way. Most places we looked at in Brisbane had a minimum 2 -3 night stay and at least twice the price.

Weekend Trip to Jotoludy,

We had the most wonderful stay at Jotoludy, it was the perfect introduction to camping for our young family (with children under 5). As first-time campers, we couldn’t have asked for a better setup. The large shelter with tables and seating was very convenient as well as having access to power, a fridge, and sinks gave us peace of mind while still letting us enjoy the camping experience. The site is private, so we didn’t have to worry about other campers, which made us feel safe and relaxed. It’s very spacious, beautifully maintained, and perfect for stargazing, kicking a soccer ball, and sending our 4 year old off on little nature treasure hunts. There was plenty of space to choose where to set up our tent, which was a big bonus. Although it was ideal for a small family’s first camping trip, we could also see it being a fantastic spot for larger groups or celebrations. The creek was lovely too. We had no trouble accessing it, though it might be a little tricky for less mobile visitors as the path is narrow and steep. My 4 year old absolutely loved being woken up by the cows outside our tent, he thought it was hilarious. I didn’t get to meet the hosts initially as we were running so far behind schedule we missed them, but my partner had a chat with them on the way out and said Katrina was lovely. Overall, it was an incredible first time camping experience that we’ll treasure and would highly recommend!

Weekend Trip to Lowood Nature Camp

We had a fantastic 2-night, 3-day stay at this peaceful property in Lowood, hosted by the wonderful Lynette and Lauren. This is the ideal spot for true off-grid camping. Important Note on Facilities: This is a primitive camp, meaning there are no shower or toilet facilities. Campers must be fully self-sufficient, but if you're prepared, the reward is pure quiet and space. What it lacks in amenities, it makes up for in space and charm. There is plenty of open land and the entire experience was incredibly relaxing. The check-in and check-out process was easy and seamless. The absolute highlight was the friendly resident horses! We highly recommend you pack carrots and apples to make some new friends. For restocking supplies like wood and ice, the town of Lowood is only a quick 5-minute drive away. Michaela's place is delighted with creativities. There are art installations, studios, and even karaoke bar with lots of custumes to choose. We enjoyed our camping time with doggos and horses. Besides, each camp ground is huge and far from eachother. We even had a dam view in the front of our camp ground! Michaela always responds messages instantly and helped us a lot. :)) Would definitely recommend to come!

Alan is an enthusiastic hose that was very welcoming upon our arrival. He took us out to the site and made sure everything was addressed and we had the info to ensure our stay was positive. This site is a great example of someone putting in the time to make is a positive experience. The campsite was large, grassed and mowed, the track in was definitely more suitable for a 4x4 and in the wet it would be fairly demanding even if not towing a van. As it was dry we had no issues. The small creek nearby was nice, it was good to explore and check out the three stage waterfall. The kids had fun in the upper section playing around. We walked to the Top of the World campsite and it was also a cracking spot. If you want a very quiet, to peaceful totally off grid experience this is a great spot to go to. It's not far from Kyogle which has fuel and an IGA if you forget anything. All up, I'd come back again. It's good value and I appreciate Alan sharing his land with the public. It's a great spot. Thank you 👍

The small, quiet town was so pretty and charming. It was convenient too — just a few minutes’ walk to a local pub for a meal and a grocery store nearby. The campground’s toilets and showers were clean and well-maintained. It was nice to find such a peaceful place close to Brisbane where we could relax and spend a comfortable night.
