If you’re passing by, you’re welcome to drop in. There’s almost always somewhere you can set up for the night. Our property is located in the heart of Rathdowney, gateway to the picturesque Scenic Rim. There is a two-week maximum stay available at the Rathdowney Memorial Grounds Caravan Park. You’ll need to provide us with your name, address, mobile, email and vehicle registration. It helps us to keep everyone safe and our registration process. We have powered and unpowered sites available for independent travelers. On-site at the Rathdowney Memorial Grounds it's an easy walk across the street for supplies, or for dinner at the local. We have toilets and hot showers available! There is access to drinking water and rubbish facilities. Campfires permitted but not straight onto the ground. (No firewood available on site but there is locally) Pets welcome. (Maximum 2) To be on a lead/enclosure. Please clean up after them.

The small, quiet town was so pretty and charming. It was convenient too — just a few minutes’ walk to a local pub for a meal and a grocery store nearby. The campground’s toilets and showers were clean and well-maintained. It was nice to find such a peaceful place close to Brisbane where we could relax and spend a comfortable night.

The facilities and setting are very good one might even say excellent. However the organization could be better. We were directed to a vacant site over the phone but got the wrong one. Even though we had set up we were later required to move (in the dark) quite unnecessarily as it turns out

Beautiful location. Park was tidy with some flat parks available. Outdoor kitchen/BBQ and wash up sink with potable hot and cold water available was really great. Toilet blocks are functional, clean and have plenty of hot water. Disabled bathroom/toilet is quite good and has shower chair available. Given the gentle slope and short grass over a solid base of the park - would be pretty well suited for travellers living with disabilities.

Overall it was a good little place, the toilet and shower block was good, loved that there was a bit of a communal kitchen setup so we could do dishes. No real flat land for a rent setup unfortunately, it definitely seems like a spot more geared toward camper and/caravans. Was just across the road from the pub though and close to the store & playground. We had a good stay but probably wouldn’t book it again.

We had a superb time here, we loved it and so did the kids, so close to the pub, great cafe up the road, walks and stepping stones up the road Thanks guys

Great little spot especially for those with kids. Amenities block was clean and well maintained, the caretaker was lovely and super easy to deal with. We ended up bringing extra people with us and had plenty of room for us all. Will definitely be back

This is a great camp ground. Everything is maintained and clean. Close to shop and kids have plenty to keep them entertained. Only thing I would say is that the toilet paper in the bathrooms either runs out very quickly or gets stolen, so bring your own.

We just had a a swag set up. No power needed. Site was flat and grass was short. Amenities are clean and hot water readily available. Good space between camp sites too.

Great place to stay, toilets and showers are clean and tidy, not over packed, even at Easter, Camp ground is tidy, playground on the other side of the oval for the kids, & even the oval if you want to play ball games or run around, Great place to explore the area around the scenic rim,

Rathdowney Memorial Grounds was a great place to stay! Doug, the caretaker, was super helpful and gave us good advice. It was a little less lively given that we stayed on a Sunday night, but still nice. The laundry facilities and bathrooms were well kept! Great location near the town store and pub!

The showers were awesome. Nice and hot with great pressure and the grounds are well kept. Unfortunately the park was well overbooked and we had to find an unpowered spot under a tree, wedged between others, despite having booked a powered site. Was probably just an issue cos of the long weekend…

To be honest we probably wouldn’t stay again. It was ok, but over half of it wasn’t level and the remaining level spots had earthworks in the middle of them or people parked right in the middle of available spots leaving us to either park close to them or go near the entrance. So we went near the entrance only to end up with a family of 5+ kids parked right on top of us, …..not their fault as there was nowhere else for them to go, but not the pleasant overnighter we were hoping for.

Great little quiet spot! We had flat ground making setting up our camper trailer a breeze. It backs on to a soccer field and a playground which the kids spent many hours playing at. A short 2 minute walk to the convenience store and the pub is directly across the road. The amenities were clean and the residents kept to themselves but all were friendly! Will definitely be back!

This is a great place to stop by! We stayed overnight to fill water, do washing, connect to electricity and dump. We ended up dumping elsewhere as we left it until Saturday and he'd gone out (and fair enough). Easy to get in and out of with a big rig. Definitely recommend.

Rathy caravan park was excellent. Everywhere was booked out, heaps of spots available at Rathdowney caravan park. We picked our level space that had town water tap. The gas barbecue and hot water was right behind us, clean free amenities block with no code or locked doors was right there. We got back to our site to watch the local soccer match, with cold beer in hand! Did I mention it was cheap! We’ll be back, there’s lots to explore at the Scenic Rim.
