7 nights at Hidden Camp Farm StayI stayed at Hidden Camp for a week over Australia Day and honestly, it was incredible. Proper switch-off, back-to-basics, breathe again kind of place. Peaceful, quiet, birds everywhere, no traffic noise, no planes, just bush and space. It feels like you’re miles from anywhere, even though it’s only about 30 minutes drive north of Gympie. The farm animals were such a joy, camels, donkeys, geese, ducks, horses, mini horses, chickens, plus a very confident rooster. The drop toilets were genuinely clean, the potable water tasted great, hot and cold shower, and everything just felt well cared for without being overdone.
Australia Day weekend was such a vibe. Live music with a fantastic singer, thong-throwing comps, relaxed friendly energy without feeling crowded at all. Even with loads of campers coming in, everyone had heaps of space and privacy. Easy access for cars, vans, and caravans, plus extra areas for four wheel drives if you want. Your choice of places to camp - near the dam or up on the grassy green hill. It feels like the middle of nowhere but without the hassle of getting there. I loved it, I fully decompressed, and I will absolutely be back.
