This was a lovely family orientated campground with a great backdrop of the hills behind Cairns and lots of bird life in the trees. The bathroom was nice and modern and very clean. The laundry facilities were also excellent. There is lots to do here with pools, waterpark and golf. Pizza at the bar was also really good.

What a beautiful place you provided for us to set up in Tracey. The site was a good size, flat and very private. I particularly loved the sunflowers and the vegie garden you have created and shared with us. The space was perfect as it was situated only about 150m from the beach and local cafe, which we frequented each morning. Tracey was very easy and friendly to communicate with and gave us very clear directions on accessing the site. Thank you for a wonderful week in which we visited friends in both Cairns and Palm Cove. We also managed a game of golf at the local course in Yorkeys Knob which was only a 10 minute drive. Everything we needed was at our finger tips. We will definitely be back if we are up this way. Thank you again Tracey.

Quite private as only two sites . Lovely herb garden . Walking distance to beach. Across the road is a laundromat open early till late and eating venues across the road - only open evening hrs. Bar and cafe beach front only open breakfast and lunch . The closest dump point is in Cairns city. Tracey was very friendly, informative and obliging, swopping sites around so we could stay longer. The site was a bit difficult to get into -had to back in through a narrow gate way so driver needs to know how to reverse. Site A the easiest but Site B most private.

Hectic Valley Farm is located at Mutchilba on 100 acres within the beautiful Atherton Tablelands, North Queensland. Spacious campsites are beside or near a massive dam that attracts a great variety of bird life and the amazing sunsets are different each day. 🌅 Three spacious spots are available a few short meters from the edge of a large dam (sites can be seen from the farm road) with another completely secluded site amongst the bushland. Bird watchers dream with the constant residents and seasonal birds flying in for the dam. Swim, kayak, catch and release fish, throw in a RedClaw pot or hunt for mussel clams. Do some hiking or 4 wheel driving around the hundred acres with our 4 wheel driving tracks. Meet the Farm Animals where campers can chat with the menagerie of animals we have on the farm such as Clydesdale horses, camels, sheep, cows, chickens, buffalo, peafowl, ducks and friendly geese. Hold newly hatched poultry, friendly chickens and maybe even lambs. Bookings are essential come by the farmhouse and meet at the gazebo. We are 10mins from Dimbulah or 20mins to Mareeba with their many attractions. We can tell you all about the many attractions and activities this area has to offer. While pets are welcome we ask they are restrained at all times. We allow pets at the site for $10 per pet/per night. Welcome to A lovely, secluded streamside campsite. With a private maintained streamside camping area of aprox 1 acre on a ten acre property, surrounded by rain forrest and farmland. Firewood and fireplaces provided, any small change donations for firewood are not required but they are appreciated and helps us provide abundant firewood for your stay. Water available (filtered but recomended to be boiled or treated prior to drinking) Campers need to be self contained, no toilets on site. Please respect this clean, natural setting, remove all rubbish and no interfering with flora or fauna. Bookings are only for one camp group, max six or seven caravans, camper trailers or campsites to maintain space and atmosphere. Access is by well maintained gravel drive then grassed area. Thank you who camped this year. We have « closed » our area from mid January to April. If you wish to camp during that time message us on Hipcamp, and we will endeavour to see if it is possible. Please note, our rates are per vehicle per night ( if you have an additional vehicle, just book an additional site or additional nights. This assists in avoiding overcrowding) There is NO access to our property from Kuranda end! Visitors need to go through Mareeba A beautiful 160 acre paddock that you can enjoy. Cleared slashed areas beside the river. Enjoy a river swim to cool you down during summer and go for a cold dip during winter. River is also good for fishing during the right season. Access to river is 100 metres on graded walking track. Unless you have a ‘booster ’there is very limited mobile coverage or internet. {enjoy the peace and solitude} Access to the property is fourteen kilometres gravel, coming off the highway. Sites are private separated from each other, some sites suit clothing optional guests Site is 300 metres from road and provides privacy. Tents and small caravans are ideal. Not suitable for highway caravans or very large vans as the access will be too rough. There are walking areas at rear of property. Be aware tropical North Queensland has paralysis ticks and we have snakes at times and visiting pigs. Water can be supplied upon request. Power generators are permitted . There may be minimal mobile service with Telstra. Campfire will only be permitted within fire pit. All campers will need to be self contained and leave no trace behind. Checkout is generally when you feel like it. Dog friendly. Site may be closed in the wet season from December to April, once monsoonal events occur
