We have a sealed road all the way to our boundary and then drive through the lavender. If you visit in late November through to early December you will enjoy our lavender flowering, but the plants look very pretty all year around in neat rows. We are a commercial farm so there is the need to work to the rhythm of the lavender.

These best describe this 754 hectare (1864 acres) property. Stonepine Ridge is 'remote' - your camp sites are away from any dwellings - but you are still close enough to country towns across borders. There is plenty of space for social distancing. Most camp sites are 50 or more metres apart. The terrain is mostly treed with some cleared, pastured country. On the border with the Queensland town of Stanthorpe, Stonepine Ridge is close to the historic areas of Willsons Downfall and Amosfield in New South Wales. Home to many rivers that traverse the property from top to bottom, the Boonoo Boonoo and Bookookookarara rivers and Undercliffe and Boonoo Boono Falls are close by and are popular sites to spend a few hours walking/hiking and immersing yourself in the ambient countryside. The Boonoo Boonoo and Bald rock National Parks are also within this area. The beautiful New England town of Tenterfield is about 20 minutes drive from the falls and offers visitors many shopping and restaurant options. Be sure to stop en route to visit the World War 2 tank traps - (Australia's Maginot Line) and Thunderbolt's hideout. A short drive across the border into Queensland will give you access to the Girraween National Park and a host of wineries, coffee shops, restaurants and pubs. This camping property is large and you will find no better place that allows for gentle as well as more advanced walking, hiking and mountain biking. The altitude on the property varies from 900m at the top down to 50m to the bottom. The temperature is variable with mostly cool nights, which makes for restful sleep and a nice fire to add to the ambience.

Mountview is a very special place having been in the family for over 120 years. The working farm is 650 acres of grain cropping and also runs a productive Charolais beef cattle stud. A central stopover point an easy 15 minutes from Toowoomba city and only a few kilometers off the New England Highway. Great for couples and larger family groups. For those that may not be experienced campers onsite accommodation is also available in the fully renovated homestead for up to 8 guests. Explore the local area with so many attractions and places to discover including the Darling Downs Zoo, The Historical Bull and Barley Inn, Lavender fields, quaint little country towns, sunflower fields, hiking tracks and so much more. Enjoy wide open spaces with magnificent views. Watch stunning sunsets, toast marshmallows around the fire pit, watch the night sky for a dazzling display of stars, hike or say hello to the many Charolais cattle on the property. You will also have access to the facilities at the Ironbark Barn which include a pool table, television, kitchen and bar area, and hot shower and toilets. The kitchen has a fridge, freezer, BBQ, dish-washing station and rubbish/recycling facilities. IMPORTANT; DO NOT BRING FIREWOOD ONTO THE PROPERTY IF YOU ARE IN A FIRE ANT ZONE. Mountview has bags of good quality iron-bark timber for sale. Please note to hook up to power you will need a lead of at least 30 meters. 15 amp power is supplied. Power is allocated on a first in best dressed preference. If you desperately require power please advise at the time of your booking and all efforts will be made to hook you up to power. We are located 50km from Brisbane CBD, 1km from the Warrego Hwy, Sundowner Saloon and the country township of Marburg. We have a several cattle and horses, and regularly kangaroo, hare, and eagles frequent the farm. All overseen and kept in order by the ever present "Ziggy" and "Harvey" our lovely English Pointers. Enjoy lovely views and relaxed peaceful settings. The farm is off grid but all the normal services are available. We also have a little vegie garden that always needs a water, and the animals love their carrots and grain. Close to Brisbane Valley Rail Trail, Fernvale, Upper Brisbane River and Wivenhoe districts. In the area, you may want to check out the township of Marburg (local pub, shops and coffee), Sundowner Hotel, Savages Crossing, or the RAAF Amberley Heritage Museum (plan ahead). Friendly pets welcome as long as they are kept under control and are not a danger to the livestock. Field of Dreams takes no responsibility for the safety of visiting animals. Please note: Owner lives on-site next to the camp site. Shared site and facilities including shared firepit with up to 4 other groups of campers. Beautiful little cabin tucked away amongst the trees, fully set up so you don’t need to leave. Kathryn and Phillip were so accomodating and really made the stay as easy and pleasant as possible. They made fresh bread for arrival and brought up water, ice and firewood when we ran low free of charge! They have built a beautiful fairy garden and look out point at the back which was lovely for a walk through. They really have put in a big effort with it! Outdoor bath was super lovely too by the fire. Highly recommend the property for all the amenities and what it offers and for how lovely Kathryn and Phillip are!

WOW - what a fabulous location! Hosts were super friendly and helpful; sites were huge and immaculately maintained; creek was beautiful - dog and I didn't want to leave! I highly recommend and hope to return when next in that part of AUS! PS when booking, the reference to Left and Right site numbers was a little confusing, but it just means they are next to each other.

Caralyn’s directions to site were great. Site 1R, the whole area along the creek, was beautiful on levelish well maintained grass you could walk barefoot on. 1R had a mixture of shade and sun in the morning. Alongside site is a sterdy deck with table & chairs. There was direct access to creek for a wade/sit on a rock, refreshing on a hot day. A large industrial bin was available. It was a relaxing place to unwind and spot a variety of bird life. Certainly had a restful time and felt safe. Loved the fairy lights on the tree💜

We took the caravan for a weekend trip away and we were absolutely thrilled with the Showgrounds and the Tyalgum village. The facilities are clean and well maintained. Beautiful outlook surrounding the park. We had a great time at the local hotel, great place to check out for dinner and a couple of drinks. Tyalgum Is a lovely town definitely worth a visit
