SPROUT FED BEEF property with animals of all kinds in the granite belt. 

At Woodspring we sprout barley grass daily and feed our steers to perfection to sell direct to the public. We are all about paddock to plate food learning!

We also have a breeding herd of classic Australian Shorthorn, a pony named Chief, alpacas, sheep, dogs, ducks, geese, chickens, guinea fowl, peacocks and pigs.

Guest dogs are not permitted.

Stunning, well kept 140-acre property with elevated country views, wicked sunsets and beautiful night skies ! We can assure you of a quiet stay with no crowds - we love this place and we're sure you will too. There's plenty of room for Caravans, RV's and Camping.  We welcome Aeroplanes too !

Our silo bar is a great place to gather at sunsets and also doubles as a camp kitchen.  We have 7 fire pits on the property including 2 in our remote area that is designed for fully self sufficient caravans. 

Campers have access to our ammenities (2 toilets and a shower) which are always kept very clean.  Easy access for all vehicles.  

Our Glamping Silo recently won 2nd place for Glamping in Australia - it's completely unique and perfect for couples summer or winter. 

We have a 400 mtr grass airstrip and welcome fly-in visitors (Reference OzRunways “YFIG”). Strictly by arrangement.

Firewood is available to purchase. 

NOT suitable for children or pets due to lots of wildlife, dense bush and no internal fencing.

The Chookhouse is situated approximately 20 minutes south of Toowoomba on 23 acres.  

Please note that there are other dogs and animals long our road.

We also have grain trains that pass by throughout the day and night.

When you are travelling on Shepperd Road look for our "Chookhouse Farm" sign and a chook mailbox, that is the driveway you need to take.

LONG TERM RENTALS

We can also accommodate long term rentals. Please contact us for further information. If possible, we would prefer self-contained set ups; however not essential.

AMENITIES

Uni-sex amenity block with hot water and flushing toilets for those booked in Pepperina.

Top Paddock power, Top Paddock unpowered and Paddock Camp we have gas showers (preset temperature for the safety of children). It will not be a hot shower like you have at home, however you will get clean.

There are also pit toilets in the camp areas.

In each camp area we have 3 x rubbish bins.

PLEASE NOTE WE DO NOT HAVE DRINKING WATER AVAILABLE.

WE DO NOT HAVE WATER TO FILL YOUR CARAVAN.

Plenty of room for self-contained caravans/motorhomes and places to pitch a tent or camper.

National Parks, walking trails, Wineries, Gourmet Pubs and Restaurants, Markets, two magnificent parks with play areas for children and so many other points of interest to see and discover.

So many animals here! 

You get to meet camels, cows, pigs, alpacas, Boer goats Dorper Sheep, a multitude of chickens, geese, peacocks and guinea fowl.

Sit under the stars and toast your marshmallows by your fire pit.

Safe place to leave your gear while out exploring the Darling Downs and surrounds.

Being in a rural area we have strict guidelines for campfires. We follow all Local Government guidelines and the QFS. No blazing fires, all fires to be extinguished at night, no coals or ash to be left under trees or on the grass. We will pick up each morning coals and ash if required.

Bretim’s Farm

UPDATE. CAMPSITE WILL BE CLOSED FROM MID MAY TO END OF AUGUST 2024 FOR FAMILY REASONS.  
Bretim’s Farm is a 65 acre grazing property near Leyburn in the Southern Darling Downs Qld.  

The campsite is open and has a large open area with “choose your own spot” sites.  We do have a fully equipped BBQ area and playground for the kids but unfortunately we have had to close the camp kitchen since the floods. 

Currently we are not running any sheep or cattle having destocked due to issues with sheep caused by the extremely wet weather recent flood events.  So sadly cannot offer lamb cuddles and feeding. However, we will be working our pasture and getting ready to restock with cattle and a few sheep  in 2023. 

We offer drive-through shady sites along the banks of our seasonal creek 1.2kms down a dirt farm track at the back of our property. The creek generally usually runs December - March then it goes shallow & waterholes can dry up in drought - although this past 2 years it has flooded several times and has run all year. 

Dog friendly (must be on a lead), rain and bore water available, a long drop loo and fireplaces available (when fire restrictions aren't in place). Showers available in rustic facility. Many local festivals and event in nearby rural centres - Leyburn, Millmerran, Warwick, Stanthorpe, Toowoomba.

Duchess Farm (Cabin + Tents/Vans)

Welcome to Duchess Farm Stay, in Nobby QLD.This is a delightful country experience 30 minutes for Toowoomba CBD.  Fully self-contained cabin style accommodation. 1 bedroom with a queen bed plus sofa in lounge.  The cabin comfortably sleeps 2 adults and 2 children, we don't recommend 4 adults inside. There is room for a caravan or a few tents if you would like to make it a family affair (no more than 10 people). Pets are welcome. There's a cosy outdoor fire pit. Wood is $20 (additional cost)The property is privately secluded from the main farm house. Short drive to surrounding towns including Clifton, Leyburn, Warwick, Allora and Greenmount and just 3km to the historic Rudd's Pub and the local store (Merlo coffee).  We offer a farm experience for the whole family including feeding the animals - the sheep and goats love to eat out of your hands! Plus there are eggs to collect and general farm life.
