Flaggy Creek Caravan Camp is situated within a 260 acre rural property set aside for wildlife aiming to offer a peaceful and relaxing place to escape the daily grind. Please read this description to the end to make sure our campsites are right for you (click show more).
Our Hipcamp, (owners on site), is small scale to minimise environmental impact with six sites spaced well apart for privacy with each site catering for up to two adult guests only (18+) and one vehicle. (No pets because of wildlife). Solo travelers are encouraged to book, many who have commented how much they enjoyed staying, not feeling overwhelmed by large groups or too isolated.
If you are booking for others please let them know they will need to set up at their booked site. Please do not invite additional guests to enter the property.
You will need to be fully self-contained: own toilet, drinking water, shower.
Our Hipcamp is situated in a cool climate, away from the humidity of the coast. A highlight is beautiful permanent Flaggy Creek which meanders its way through the property for approximately 1 km and is habitat to platypus, turtles and an abundance of bird life (we are close to an ebird hotspot) with towering blue and rose gums. Take a dip on a hot day in one of several water holes including a large lagoon adjacent a mini waterfall surrounded by beautiful she-oaks. There are walks on mowed tracks around the property (look for large eastern grey kangaroos in the top paddock) including along a dam wall where you might spot herons or rainbow bee eaters (seasonally) and we can give you directions to a fire-trail to hike up to the Bluff. Herberton (10 mins) also has many excellent walking trails.
All camp sites have their own fire pit (local conditions and/or state fire ban season permitting). We sell large crates of split firewood for $20 or you can collect your own. Please do not bring firewood for biosecurity reasons.
During the wet season (December-April) we recommend 4WD to access the property as there is a concrete causeway creek crossing and on rare occasions this can become impassable with an extreme amount of rain but does go down very quickly once rain has eased. Please take care and go slowly on unsealed roads.
Please ask for permission to fly drones.

Site 2 Our newer spot work in progress not so ideal for camper trailers. your situated under our tree line away from the main creek. A smaller paver firepit, plenty fine for sitting around an open fire while watching the stars at night.
Swimming in the creek is not recommended.
So please check by internal message before confirming your booking that way we can confirm a spot while discussing your needs to ensure you have a clear view of your camping area.

We spent 2 peaceful nights at Flaggy Creek in our off grid caravan at Site 2, which has a lovely view of the creek. Access to the creek is not impossible at the campsite, but is very difficult, however it is only a very short walk to a lovely cement causeway for easy access to the creek. There was ample space for our caravan to park and turn around. We saw and photographed quite a few different birds, but the highlight was the Platypus sighting. Tim and Shelley are very welcoming hosts and I recommend Flaggy Creek without hesitation.

We had such a lovely stay at Nisha’s place. She made us feel genuinely welcome from the start, and her warm hospitality made the whole experience feel very special.
We especially loved the fresh eggs and the incredibly delicious passionfruit — such a thoughtful and generous touch. And Woody the little duck was an absolute highlight as well.

Absolutely recommend this camp! A beautiful little patch of paradise. The hosts were lovely and easy to communicate with, which made everything so simple. It was such an easy, relaxing stay — private, peaceful, and with plenty of space for the kids to run around and enjoy.
Fireflies at night, butterflies during the day, and stunning sunsets by the fire in the afternoon — it really had everything. Definitely one we’ll be coming back to!

Beautiful campsite and lovely owner.
I had originally booked site 5 thinking I couldn’t reach site 3 (with waterfall) as I travel with a campervan and not a 4x4, but with the weather being dry and the site being free, Sheree offered me to camp there instead. Stunning very private spot, I LOVED it and had to drag myself to check-out! Site 5 would have been lovely as well anyway!
Cute amenities area too.
I recommend 100%.

Three Falls Holiday at Milla Milla is a gorgeous little hidden gem, the campsite is very private, shady and grassed with access to a toilet and shower. There is a camp table and a fire pit for use. The very friendly hostess Nisha books out as a single booking only making it very private and exclusive for a couple or a group much larger if you want. We loved the short 20 walk to Zillie Falls, the rolling hill landscape and the amazing sunset, sunrise and the amazing starlit sky at night. We will definitely return.

This is an absolute piece of paradise that you can enjoy all to yourselves. I almost don't want to say how good it is so it doesn't book out. In all seriousness though, our family of four absolutely love it and come away planning when we can next revisit. Our fifth family member, Luna our dog, is in absolute heaven there and lives her best life, dipping in and out of the creek at regular intervals. Nice new addition of a toilet and shower up the hill as well. Always great hosts who leave you to your own devices but you know they are should you need anything. Thank you. We will be back.

Yet again, we had an amazing stay, albeit a wet one thanks to the season!
Beautiful views, complimented by exceptional service, with a great chat and a smile.
We stayed at Site 4 - The View, as it suited our DMAX and canopy perfectly, and allowed us to use the toilet and shower in a mere 20 steps.
We strolled down to the creek, stood under the waterfall, and enjoyed a bevvy down there, before coming back up to our site for sunset.
We got to meet Jacko, the resident pup, and the two beautiful horses, Hiccup and Sweets.
Site 4 offers a large space, perfect for any kind of camping, or even a bigger group. Arms reach of the amenities, and breathtaking views.

Great camping spot not far from the city, with easy access to nearby shops for supplies. The lawn is large and flat, perfect for setting up.
The fire pit area feels cozy and well set up, and the facilities are excellent—hot showers with power outlets, which is a real bonus for camping.
Kanwal was very welcoming and gave us a clear introduction when we arrived, even though he doesn’t live on-site.
Highly recommended!

Tim's idyllic property is your ideal getaway if you love nature, freedom, peace and quiet. I came as a solo female traveller and felt safe, at ease and comfortable for my entire trip. The swimming hole is sublime and if you love to wander there are plenty of tracks around the property. The landscape is spacious, diverse and stunning!
