To local farmers, Malanda is known as the “dairy capital” of Northern Queensland, but this small agricultural town has more to offer than milk. Naturally, a visit to the Malanda Dairy Centre should be at the top of your to-do list, but once you’ve sampled the town’s lifeblood, head down to Malanda Falls to cool off with a swim or hike to waterfalls and crater lakes at nearby Mt Hypipamee National Park. For bigger adventures, the Tully Gorge National Park and Wooroonooran National Park are within easy day-trip distance. Part of the UNESCO World Heritage Wet Tropics region, both parks boast scenic rainforest trails with spectacular wildlife-watching opportunities and a variety of options for camping. Welcome to A lovely, secluded streamside campsite. With a private maintained streamside camping area of aprox 1 acre on a ten acre property, surrounded by rain forrest and farmland. Kids are welcome to join small farm activities, feeding chickens and cows, collecting eggs and harvesting fruit trees when fruit is available. Some very special wildlife for the quite observer including regular sitings of platypus and tree kangaroos. We also regularly see the Ulysses and cairns bird wing butterflies with glow bugs being fairly common in the warmer months. Close to township of Malanda with tourist activities throughout the atherton tablelands. This area is usually 5-10 degrees cooler than Cairns and does not get the summer humidity. Firewood and fireplaces provided, any small change donations for firewood are not required but they are appreciated and helps us provide abundant firewood for your stay. Water available (filtered but recomended to be boiled or treated prior to drinking) Campers need to be self contained, no toilets on site. Please respect this clean, natural setting, remove all rubbish and no interfering with flora or fauna. Bookings are only for one camp group, max six or seven caravans, camper trailers or campsites to maintain space and atmosphere. Access is by well maintained gravel drive then grassed area. The site was really flat and level, grassy and private with a lovely rainforest garden all around. Nisha was so welcoming showing us around the property and sharing lovely fresh eggs and lemonade fruit with us. There was also a lovely shelter with table and chairs, fire pit and clean private hot shower and toilet for our use. Also power if we needed and firewood. Nisha was fantastic with communication and directions and advice of places to visit in the area.

Bloody fantastic spot, Glen is a great bloke & a great host & keeps the camp in postcard order. Nice & quiet & the crystal clear water is great for a dip. Highly recommend & the local pub does the best chicken schnitzels 😎👍🏻👍🏻

Great little spot to stay! Plenty of room to spread out and have privacy. Highlight for the kids was the cane trains coming by. A beautiful horse on the fence line to pat, safe place for the kids to ride their bikes along the long drive way too. Host was great!

We loved staying at Three Falls campsite! Such a beautiful area, close to the waterfalls and so peaceful. Since it had been raining a lot we were allowed to park in the driveway, but still had plenty of privacy and woke up to stunning views over the valley. Thanks Nisha, we’ll be back!

This property is a must see, it was absolutely incredible. The fresh water creek running through the property was spectacular. Very close proximity to Babinda Boulders & Josephine Falls so makes for an easy day trip from the camp site. We only stayed two nights but are wishing we had stayed longer. It does get a bit muddy if there has been rain but it doesn’t take away from the experience. The hosts are so lovely, we hope to be back one day.
