Welcome to She-oak Hideaway, located in Maryvale by the riverside. The riverside is a peaceful place with two large camping areas and firepits. There are 2 large waterholes suitable for swimming, fishing and kayaking. Down by the riverside you will see Water dragons, turtles, ducks, swamp hens, many birds, occasional Wallabies and Koala. Most afternoons the local Rikali (Australias Otter) can be seen diving for Yabbies. We are an 11 minute drive to the very popular Main range national Park which has some beautiful hiking trails and is the perfect place for a picnic. We have a great country pub close by as well which is a short walk down a country lane. Pets are welcome but please ensure they are under your control and that you clean up after them. Campers must be self sufficient with their own toilet. Rubbish bins are provided for campers and a treated rain water tap is available. Dunoon village is cute yet, very practical. There is a general store, bottle shop and they sell ice, Mechanic, Post Office and the best bit, you can even go out for dinner or lunch depending on the day, at the Dunoon Sports Club/ Pub or Channon Tavern, then head back to your secluded country camp and cool off in the beautiful creek or warm up and enjoy some quality time around the camp fire!

ABOUT Zaytuna Farm Eco Hamlet is a highly active Permaculture demonstration site and has been used to teach permaculture to countless international and local students for the past 20 years. It is at the forefront of Permaculture Design, displaying many permaculture principles, and produces an abundance of food and various yields from within its living environment. Zaytuna Farm Eco Hamlet is a family friendly farm, situated on a sixty six acre (27 hectares) property that fronts Terania Creek opposite the village of The Channon, Northern NSW. The property is completely off-grid and contains 800m of creek frontage with fishing spots, a swimming hole for campers, and abundant wildlife ideal for bird watchers. Zaytuna Farm Eco Hamlet has recently become a community of 8 private residences that share this beautiful property. We kindly ask that campers respect the residents’ privacy, however if you spot them on the common grounds, they are always up for a friendly chat. CAMPSITE The campsite is situated on the communal grounds at the heart of Zaytuna Farm Eco Hamlet on flat lawn surrounded by bamboo and the sounds of the rainforest. We also have 10 raised camping shelters on offer, suitable for small tents for 1-2 people. Campers have close access to bathrooms built from eco-friendly shipping containers with composting toilets and warm showers; a fire pit, a kitchen garden to share from, an education/function center (available for hire), a common sheltered area to relax with wifi, and an equipped shared kitchen. OTHER NOTES We strictly have a no drug and alcohol policy. Due to our policy and customs, we kindly ask that no pork products enter the property, and that reasonably modest clothing is worn (shoulders down to knees covered is fine) including around the swimming hole. Please note this is not the place for partying, but a place for connecting with nature and nurturing wellbeing. We kindly ask that all rubbish is taken off the premise as there are no bins. I was told that as I journeyed around Australia I would find a place to settle and Maryvale on the Darling Downs was love at first sight. I am happy to share my love for this property and welcome travellers to enjoy the tranquillity of the riverside and enjoy some of the walks and other features of the area. Welcome to She-oak Hideaway, located in Maryvale by the riverside. The riverside is a peaceful place with two large camping areas and firepits. There are 2 large waterholes suitable for swimming, fishing and kayaking. Down by the riverside you will see Water dragons, turtles, ducks, swamp hens, many birds, occasional Wallabies and Koala. Most afternoons the local Rikali (Australias Otter) can be seen diving for Yabbies. We are an 11 minute drive to the very popular Main range national Park which has some beautiful hiking trails and is the perfect place for a picnic. We have a great country pub close by as well which is a short walk down a country lane. Pets are welcome but please ensure they are under your control and that you clean up after them. Campers must be self sufficient with their own toilet. Rubbish bins are provided for campers and a treated rain water tap is available. Kayaks and life jackets are available on request. 1 - 10 Amp power connection is also available on request. Firewood can be purchased for $15 a bag or $20 for a wheelbarrow full. You can even see Platypus in the early mornings, playing in the creek. All of the camp areas are easily access-able and flat, usually 2wd car is all you need. We also provide you with creature comforts such as a cold/ hot shower and fresh pit toilets :) When booking, only book 1 site per group, as the sites are large. You will feel like you are immersed in the beauty of nature here and yet you are only 6 minutes easy drive from the village of Dunoon, NSW 2480 and 45 minutes beautiful country drive from glorious Byron Bay beaches and it's very exciting night life! On every second sunday of the month, the Channon Markets are on, which is just 10 minutes drive from camp. Sorry, we can't cater for dogs due to camp being a native animal sanctuary. Dunoon village is cute yet, very practical. There is a general store, bottle shop and they sell ice, Mechanic, Post Office and the best bit, you can even go out for dinner or lunch depending on the day, at the Dunoon Sports Club/ Pub or Channon Tavern, then head back to your secluded country camp and cool off in the beautiful creek or warm up and enjoy some quality time around the camp fire!

Zaytuna Farm Eco Hamlet is a family friendly farm, situated on a sixty six acre (27 hectares) property that fronts Terania Creek opposite the village of The Channon, Northern NSW. The property is completely off-grid and contains 800m of creek frontage with fishing spots, a swimming hole for campers, and abundant wildlife ideal for bird watchers. Zaytuna Farm Eco Hamlet has recently become a community of 8 private residences that share this beautiful property. We kindly ask that campers respect the residents’ privacy, however if you spot them on the common grounds, they are always up for a friendly chat. CAMPSITE The campsite is situated on the communal grounds at the heart of Zaytuna Farm Eco Hamlet on flat lawn surrounded by bamboo and the sounds of the rainforest. We also have 10 raised camping shelters on offer, suitable for small tents for 1-2 people. Campers have close access to bathrooms built from eco-friendly shipping containers with composting toilets and warm showers; a fire pit, a kitchen garden to share from, an education/function center (available for hire), a common sheltered area to relax with wifi, and an equipped shared kitchen. OTHER NOTES We strictly have a no drug and alcohol policy. Due to our policy and customs, we kindly ask that no pork products enter the property, and that reasonably modest clothing is worn (shoulders down to knees covered is fine) including around the swimming hole. Spring and Bellbird Walk on Broangus, commanding views of surrounding peaks. Our property offers three camping areas. Creek Flat, Paddock Areas. and Prow View. Fire pits at all sites. I stayed for one night with my partner after reading the great reviews, and it was absolutely the right choice. Greg, the owner of the farm, is such a lovely person, he made us feel welcome from the moment we arrived. He even took us in his car to see the mountain and the cows, and he was incredibly hospitable and attentive throughout our stay. We had a wonderful night, with incredible views and so much peace. Because of our schedule, we had no choice but to arrive around 7 pm, so we had to set up in the dark. It was raining and very windy, so it was quite difficult for us, but Greg helped us with absolutely everything — pitching our tent, putting up our gazebo, and even lending us pegs since it was our first camping trip and we hadn’t brought any. We were so, so grateful and relieved. And even though it was raining and we couldn’t use the fire properly, he still helped us light the firewood beforehand when we told him it was our first time and we weren’t really sure how to do it. That was incredibly kind of him. We couldn’t see the view properly when we arrived at night, but when we woke up in the morning, the scenery was absolutely stunning. It made us want to come back again on a sunny day — this place is truly perfect. Even though our first camping experience was quite challenging, Greg turned it into such a wonderful memory. We’re so thankful to him. We’ll definitely be recommending this place to others. Even the drive here was beautiful, so we truly, truly recommend it.

The most well-maintained, gorgeous spot by the Condamine River. Firepits on each site and far enough away from the next camp to enjoy the space. Kayaks were a great option to explore the river. Lindsay was the friendliest of hosts and takes such pride in his beautiful HipCamp. The meat pack was delicious!! Just a heads up... lots of flies around Warwick at this time of year so remember the spray and your fly net to make things a little more comfortable..

Shuttlebus available to our wonderful hippy village. There are curiosity shops with very different stuff, and a smoking culture. There is nowhere else anything like it. You can do Nimbin in a day. If you have time to relax and unwind, you can do it over two days, and enjoy the restaurants and cafes. I have local knowledge. There are lookouts with spectacular views. Here there's unusual fruit trees, a trampoline, and a basketball court if you want to shoot a few hoops, weights equipment, and a martial arts dojo if you are curious about learning some self defence. There's a flat parking area for RV's and tents. It's a relatively small space - not an acre of grass. So it's a semi social area, and it's possible to interact and relax in the undercover area. There's a fire place at night, and a Babakiuaera where you can get Wifi and play cards. I'm a qualified driving instructor, so i know about vehicles and safe driving practices. some folks love it here and come back. It's a relatively small space, not suitable for everyone.
