We broke down 10km for the site and had to have van towed, Craig, Greg & Andy were fantastic in allowing us to glamp in one of their tents, whilst providing impeccable hostage, care, comfort, consideration in ensuring we were looked after not only by them, but the other campers. All contributed to ensuring our stay was easy and memorable- we will be back soon!

Beautiful camping spot! We camped on site 3 at pecan water hole - very spacious area and stunning creek views. We had a group of 12 people, 6 vehicles and it fit us nicely. Lots of wood around for a camp fire, definitely worth taking our chain saw. Robyn the host was super welcoming, friendly and down to earth. We will definitely come back to stay again! Was nice going to Minyon Falls and Whian Whian Falls while there also!

2 nights at GingerNut Farm - Adults Only

We stayed in the studio - a room with external access in the hosts' residence. Facilities are basic and rustic but enough for us to easily be comfortable. We enjoyed sharing space with Craig and Greg (Andy was away). They were very hospitable and kept us well supplied with tea, coffee and good conversation about so many topics. One evening, we were taken on a short walk to see glow worms and bioluminescent fungi - both dependent on suitable conditions. The property is large enough to take a good bushwalk along a meandering trail cut through the rainforest, providing lots of interesting opportunities to spot fascinating wildlife and flora. We'd love to return some time. We appreciated the hosts' welcoming, non-judgemental and relaxed hospitality.

This place was so peaceful and just what we needed to unwind. We explored Kyogle and found great food in woodenbong. Relaxed and enjoyed the scenery. JB was lovely and welcoming and made sure we could always reach out for anything. It was a perfect place for the pups too! THANKS - will be back.

We loved how spacious and secluded Jaya site was and having creek access from the site is definitely a plus point. Our pooch had a great time as she had heaps of space to run around. Jane is a very thoughtful host, she provided us helpful information prior to checking in. We would definitely visit again.

4 nights at She-Oak Hideaway

This is a delightful campsite. Two seperate camping, flat areas - slightly in view of each other but in no way intrusive. Would describe as rustic, however, there is water and rubbish etc collected. Grassy sites well kept. Creek gurgled away and the teen grandchildren loved, as did the adults. We were a group with two caravans - so it was downhill to access sites. This gave some anxiety about how we got out!! Of course, there were no problems.... Paul was a delightful host, easy to communicate with and on site to help if required. Access to the property is off the Cunningham H'way - Paul explains this in his intro - we missed the turn but just circled back through Maryvale and had a second cut at it. Again, no problems even with the vans. Minor road noise at night however traffic lights on the CH about 10k away 'backed up' the traffic so traffic came through in groups rather than being spread out. Will certainly return. (Thanks Paul!!)

We absolutely loved our time Glenroy in site 1 with our three children and new puppy. It was so private and amazing knowingnyounget thensite to yoirself. Glorious positioning of the sun / shade in the morning, and shady from afternoon sun - pending where you set up. We loved access to the creek and all the little extras the owners have done to make the stay more enjoyable, such as having kayaks available to hire, books for kids. We utilised the permanent table near the fire every day for cooking & cleaning. We hired the toilet which was really clean and great. We walked up to the look out a couple of times which was really worthwhile. Purely for info only, whilst our site was absolutely huge for us, if booking for a large group with multiple groups, we would possibly book site 2 as it appeared to be a bit bigger and very flat. Great little pub on Maryvale not too far away. Loved it. Thank you very much.

Such welcoming hosts, was a pleasure to stay at their HipCamp as it's in a prime location and enough of 'bush' to hide you away from the city. My kids got to play with their grandchildren, who are the same ages and they really enoyed it. Will stay again if we cross that way.

Great spot to relax. My family stayed in a powered sites at camping ground one, close to the main amenities. Highly recommend for a quick R&R from the hustle of city life. Kids said Jules made the best milkshake ever. Highly recommend and will be back.

We were welcomed and given several opportunities to camp on the green and lush camp grounds Our kids loved the dogs - particularly Russell (!), and being so close to Border Ranges NP allowed us the convenience of doing a full day walk through the trails Only negative was the price which was a touch over the normal for that type of camping, I guess because of the facilities which were of high standard Many thanks for having us

I loved that there was so many sites to choose from. Views were spectacular. Dam with the kayaks were a nice touch, our kids really enjoyed it! Toilets and showers were clean and well stocked. So glad we got to experience the Misty Mountains in its full glory. Perfect weather and friendly people.

Weekend Trip to Yatala Camping Spot

The host Vi was very responsive and met us, and gave us options for easy access. Vi has been very thoughtful and helpful. The road is very quiet at the weekend. There is a lovely above ground fire pit and seating available, and we enjoyed a campfire. The spot gets amazing sunsets. Short drive to supermarket. Highly recommended.

We kindly ask that campers respect the residents’ privacy, however if you spot them on the common grounds, they are always up for a friendly chat. CAMPSITE The campsite is situated on the communal grounds at the heart of Zaytuna Farm Eco Hamlet on flat lawn surrounded by bamboo and the sounds of the rainforest. We also have 10 raised camping shelters on offer, suitable for small tents for 1-2 people. Campers have close access to bathrooms built from eco-friendly shipping containers with composting toilets and warm showers; a fire pit, a kitchen garden to share from, an education/function center (available for hire), a common sheltered area to relax with wifi, and an equipped shared kitchen. In wet conditions you will need a 4WD to access these sites, though the flats themselves are not boggy. Explore the great outdoors by wandering along our extensive bush tracks and trying your hand at fishing in our farm dam stocked with silver perch. Figtree Farm has an abundance of bird and animal life. Here, tranquillity reigns, save for the occasional serenade of our friendly neighbourhood donkeys and the odd rooster. If you wish to wander further afield, Kyogle is a 30 minute drive away. And there is an all weather tennis court (with lights) nearby at Bundgeam Hall. A Simpler Place in Time

Overlooking the McPherson Ranges and Mount Barney on a 17-acre farm block with animals. Great place to stay if you are walking Mt Barney, Mt May or Mt Maroon - 40 minutes drive north. Our 17-acre block is just a couple of minutes walk from Woodenbong, a small rural village in northern NSW, 2 hrs south of Brisbane and the Gold Coast. Being in the country we don't have access to all of the telecommunication providers that the majority of Australians have in the city and living on the coast. However, we are served by Telstra so if you have a Telstra account you can use your mobile phone, laptop, iPad here. We have access to a wi-fi - ask for the password (charges may apply). Our advice is to disconnect from the city and reconnect with the country. You can access the great outdoors - all of our paddocks and the Woodenbong Common. There are several food options locally for breakfast, lunch, and dinner if you do not want to cook for yourself.

The Permaculture College at the end of the walk, is another beautiful institution worthy of exploring and has regular workshops and courses. With pristine creeks, swimming is popular during summer as well as at the local community pool with its BBQ area leading into a children's playground and the famous Nimbin Skate Park. Visit the Nimbin Candle Factory or the Church of Aquarius. The monthly markets are held in the old school ground every 4th and 5th Sunday of the month with and abundance of 2nd hand stalls filled with bargains and local musicians entertaining the masses. The Friday night Drum Circle is a popular haunt for aspiring drummers and the monthly Open Mic nights at the Bowlo are a regular for townies and tourists alike, with excellent food in the restaurant and a plethora of talent on the rise.
