We are a working turf farm located just off the highway at Pottsville. It's an easy 9 minute drive to Pottsville Beach and we offer a flat patch of grassed land next to a dam with a maximum of 4 separate occupants (so it will never be crazy and over crowded like a caravan park). The perfect spot to spread out and relax, have a camp fire, look at the trees and explore the wonders Northern Rivers has to offer. These include beautiful beach's, walks, hikes, the Tweed Valley Rail Trail and Uki Mountain bike park all close by. Only 7 minute drive into Pottsville town which has an IGA, great cafes and restaurants, bottle shop and a few specially stores. 30min drive to either the Gold Coast or Byron Bay. Guests must be fully self contained with their own toilet/shower facilities and must take all rubbish and waste with them on departure.

Over one kilometre of "Rocky Creek" runs through the Pecan Fields camp area, providing gorgeous waterholes for swimming, walks and great water front sites to set up camp for the weekend! You can even see Platypus in the early mornings, playing in the creek. All of the camp areas are easily access-able and flat, usually 2wd car is all you need. On every second sunday of the month, the Channon Markets are on, which is just 10 minutes drive from camp. Sorry, we can't cater for dogs due to camp being a native animal sanctuary. Dunoon village is cute yet, very practical. There is a general store, bottle shop and they sell ice, Mechanic, Post Office and the best bit, you can even go out for dinner or lunch depending on the day, at the Dunoon Sports Club/ Pub or Channon Tavern, then head back to your secluded country camp and cool off in the beautiful creek or warm up and enjoy some quality time around the camp fire!

I was told that as I journeyed around Australia I would find a place to settle and Maryvale on the Darling Downs was love at first sight. I am happy to share my love for this property and welcome travellers to enjoy the tranquillity of the riverside and enjoy some of the walks and other features of the area. Welcome to She-oak Hideaway, located in Maryvale by the riverside. The riverside is a peaceful place with two large camping areas and firepits. There are 2 large waterholes suitable for swimming, fishing and kayaking. Down by the riverside you will see Water dragons, turtles, ducks, swamp hens, many birds, occasional Wallabies and Koala. Most afternoons the local Rikali (Australias Otter) can be seen diving for Yabbies. We are an 11 minute drive to the very popular Main range national Park which has some beautiful hiking trails and is the perfect place for a picnic. We have a great country pub close by as well which is a short walk down a country lane. Pets are welcome but please ensure they are under your control and that you clean up after them. Campers must be self sufficient with their own toilet. Rubbish bins are provided for campers and a treated rain water tap is available. Kayaks and life jackets are available on request. 1 - 10 Amp power connection is also available on request. Firewood can be purchased for $15 a bag or $20 for a wheelbarrow full. Our first stay at a HipCamp and Lisa made the process super easy and she was so kind when she greeted us. The sites were gorgeous and grassy. Walked around barefoot & enjoyed the open sky views with the cute creek that had the most gorgeous lilly pillies & we even saw an eel! This was our first stay on our lap of Australia and we couldn’t be happier 🥰

This is the second time staying here and yet again was absolutely perfect. The host took extra care to mow where we had parked to remove excess grass clippings. We also asked to leave our van a little longer than normal and they were more than happy to accommodate us. Would highly recommend this for anyone and will definitely be back again soon. The location is so convenient. Easy access from the M1. Close to Pottsville and Hasting river mouth for SUP/fishing/surfing and general good time with young kids. And Byron is only 30 minutes down the road. Space away from other campers and of course beautiful grass everywhere!
