We are happy for you to come and camp on your own or book the entire place if you have an event, large groups are welcome. There is a designated area that can be hired for parties and private functions with marquees available if required. Pets are welcome and must be under control and on a leash as there are farm animals kept on this property. Camp fires are permitted in communal fire areas or at your camp in provided fire drums. There is a limited number of fire drums available, so you are welcome to bring your own. The only exception will be if a local fire ban is activated. The hill on the property (Flat Top) is one of the highest points in the area at 700m altitude. Some cattle tracks for the kids to ride along in the paddock also. -Wivenhoe, Somerset Dam in the area for water sports -Wildlife watching, this paddock sustains a large variety of native animals, if you’ve got a keen eye -Bottle Tree pub is just down the road, - bit more than walking distance tho :) -Take it easy.

Barb, Shaun, Dodge, Daisy, Duke, Georgie, Gracie and babies Leslie & Bo who all love carrots and apples. This is a full working farm and we restore vintage caravans and classic cars. You will see us pottering in the garden or walking our poodle, but we will leave you to your privacy. The camping grounds is private and picturesque in our back paddocks - looking back over our olive grove and out to the great dividing range. We have fire pits set up in the camp area - please bring an extinguisher, wood and matches. The camp grounds has an easy access and campers have had no issues levelling out on the gentle slope or go higher up the paddock to the trees and the ground is level with the best views of the mountain ranges. Olive View Farm is ideal for self sufficient campers. At the front of the property near the bus shop we have permanent picnic tables set up for anyone to use. Dogs on a lead are welcome - we have lots of Kangaroos and Wallabies and we want to protect them. We are always on site and happy to help with anything you need. *Please note any negative feedback for camping received was from a festival that took place on our property in 2022 and the event organisers promised the campers facilities and did not deliver. We are not the place for rowdy parties or large groups. Most of our sites are nestled on different levels between trees and bush, so you may feel like you are the only ones there. **Our camping sites vary in size and proximity to others. If you want to come with a group with several vehicles etc, please send a message rather than book separate sites. We will help find a site which suits your needs. We now have several secluded bush camp sites as alternatives to our more 'civilised' sites. They have no facilities apart from the site so you must be entirely self-sufficient. But all are single sites well away from others. We invite you to come and share our property, soak up the tranquility of our quiet valley and enjoy feeling at home in nature. And your dog is welcome too (under control please because we value our wildlife, and no more than 2 dogs per couple or family group)! The land is nearly 200 Ha in the western foothills of the Dividing Range, with the usually-flowing North Branch Creek being a green haven supporting lots of wildlife. It also includes the secluded back valley of Hann Creek to which you can walk, cycle or ride, with many tracks of lengths up to 3 km. The land is mostly open forest land with some cleared areas from its dairy-farming history, and many gullies with thicker vegetation. The property is mostly now dedicated to nature conservation and the recovery of its more natural state. It is a Nature Refuge under Qld legislation with special emphasis on recognising that the land is Githabul country, honouring local Githabul people now, sharing it with them and others, plus preserving species of plants and animals with known relevance to their former lifestyles. The name Nyalar Mirungan-ah means 'Old Women's Tears' in Githabul, and recognises that they cry because the land was taken from them and because it has not been looked after well by European people. She loves affection.. 😆 She is super gentle and loves belly rubs and pats. sometimes the horses are at nearby agistment so, ask if the horses cam be here for your visit. Baby animals are seasonal, ducklings and baby chicks in summer and lambs after winter roughly. There are a couple of small playgrounds, clean double flushing toilets, picnic tables, gas bbq and chairs for your convenience and a nice above ground pool to stay cool in. We have firewood for sale, and I make a great expresso coffee if your a coffee lover, like myself. Bring some cash for firewood, coffee and other bits and pieces. There's a kids surprise cupboard, with toys to borrow, for sale or Make a donation and buy it... The $45 camp fee pays for 2 adults and 1 child. Just message me about extra guests as hipcamp adding extras doesn't work properly. You can pay by cash or transfer on arrival if necessary. Extra adults campers I will discount to $15 instead of $20 adults and $5 for kids. We also offer day visits for $5 per person. Plenty of room for caravans, buses and horse floats. I have a round yard and horse yards and horses are $10 per horse/night to cover water costs. BYO hay. Wivenhoe Dam, Atkinson Dam and the Brisbane river are all closeby. The famous rail trail that a lot of horse riders and cyclists enjoy is just a klm down the road. (keep an eye out for koalas) Hope to see you soon at the farm. You will see us pottering in the garden or walking our poodle, but we will leave you to your privacy. We have a beautiful vintage bus that we have converted into a farm shop and you can buy olives, relishes, honey, jam, seasonings, magnesium and more. We welcome small gatherings to celebrate birthdays, engagements or function (Christmas etc) just let us know during the booking process. We would appreciate quiet after 10pm. We are only 8 minutes from shops in town and a short drive for all of the Scenic Rim's attractions. We are in the heart of The Scenic Rim. The camping grounds is private and picturesque in our back paddocks - looking back over our olive grove and out to the great dividing range. We have fire pits set up in the camp area - please bring an extinguisher, wood and matches. The camp grounds has an easy access and campers have had no issues levelling out on the gentle slope or go higher up the paddock to the trees and the ground is level with the best views of the mountain ranges. Olive View Farm is ideal for self sufficient campers. At the front of the property near the bus shop we have permanent picnic tables set up for anyone to use. Dogs on a lead are welcome - we have lots of Kangaroos and Wallabies and we want to protect them. We are always on site and happy to help with anything you need. *Please note any negative feedback for camping received was from a festival that took place on our property in 2022 and the event organisers promised the campers facilities and did not deliver. The land is nearly 200 Ha in the western foothills of the Dividing Range, with the usually-flowing North Branch Creek being a green haven supporting lots of wildlife. It also includes the secluded back valley of Hann Creek to which you can walk, cycle or ride, with many tracks of lengths up to 3 km. The land is mostly open forest land with some cleared areas from its dairy-farming history, and many gullies with thicker vegetation. The property is mostly now dedicated to nature conservation and the recovery of its more natural state. It is a Nature Refuge under Qld legislation with special emphasis on recognising that the land is Githabul country, honouring local Githabul people now, sharing it with them and others, plus preserving species of plants and animals with known relevance to their former lifestyles. The name Nyalar Mirungan-ah means 'Old Women's Tears' in Githabul, and recognises that they cry because the land was taken from them and because it has not been looked after well by European people. We are now trying to care for it well, and to allow the original ecosystems to return, by lighter grazing, soil recovery and using traditional Aboriginal burning knowledge. And we welcome dogs as long as they don't disturb our wildlife. Shandy, our own dog, is very welcoming to guests and might drop in to your camp for a visit.

We have a mini pig (Splat) that has her own paddock but she likes to socialise. I'm waiting for fencer to get her back in her paddock again. She loves affection.. 😆 She is super gentle and loves belly rubs and pats. sometimes the horses are at nearby agistment so, ask if the horses cam be here for your visit. Baby animals are seasonal, ducklings and baby chicks in summer and lambs after winter roughly. There are a couple of small playgrounds, clean double flushing toilets, picnic tables, gas bbq and chairs for your convenience and a nice above ground pool to stay cool in. We have firewood for sale, and I make a great expresso coffee if your a coffee lover, like myself. Bring some cash for firewood, coffee and other bits and pieces. There's a kids surprise cupboard, with toys to borrow, for sale or Make a donation and buy it... The $45 camp fee pays for 2 adults and 1 child. Just message me about extra guests as hipcamp adding extras doesn't work properly. You can pay by cash or transfer on arrival if necessary. Extra adults campers I will discount to $15 instead of $20 adults and $5 for kids. We also offer day visits for $5 per person. Plenty of room for caravans, buses and horse floats. I have a round yard and horse yards and horses are $10 per horse/night to cover water costs. BYO hay. Wivenhoe Dam, Atkinson Dam and the Brisbane river are all closeby. The famous rail trail that a lot of horse riders and cyclists enjoy is just a klm down the road. (keep an eye out for koalas) Hope to see you soon at the farm. Stop at a swimming hole or lookout on your way up to scenic Mt Glorious. We are About a 15 minute drive from Northbrook Gorge, a popular local hike. The property is mostly now dedicated to nature conservation and the recovery of its more natural state. It is a Nature Refuge under Qld legislation with special emphasis on recognising that the land is Githabul country, honouring local Githabul people now, sharing it with them and others, plus preserving species of plants and animals with known relevance to their former lifestyles. The name Nyalar Mirungan-ah means 'Old Women's Tears' in Githabul, and recognises that they cry because the land was taken from them and because it has not been looked after well by European people. We are now trying to care for it well, and to allow the original ecosystems to return, by lighter grazing, soil recovery and using traditional Aboriginal burning knowledge. And we welcome dogs as long as they don't disturb our wildlife. Shandy, our own dog, is very welcoming to guests and might drop in to your camp for a visit.

Come and relax at our flat, peaceful 5 acre hobby farm. Most animals wander around example the sheep, ducks and chooks, pig. So tough plastic boxes are great to hide your food items. We have a mini pig (Splat) that has her own paddock but she likes to socialise. I'm waiting for fencer to get her back in her paddock again. She loves affection.. 😆 She is super gentle and loves belly rubs and pats. sometimes the horses are at nearby agistment so, ask if the horses cam be here for your visit. Baby animals are seasonal, ducklings and baby chicks in summer and lambs after winter roughly. There are a couple of small playgrounds, clean double flushing toilets, picnic tables, gas bbq and chairs for your convenience and a nice above ground pool to stay cool in. We have firewood for sale, and I make a great expresso coffee if your a coffee lover, like myself. Bring some cash for firewood, coffee and other bits and pieces. There's a kids surprise cupboard, with toys to borrow, for sale or Make a donation and buy it... The $45 camp fee pays for 2 adults and 1 child. Just message me about extra guests as hipcamp adding extras doesn't work properly. You can pay by cash or transfer on arrival if necessary. Extra adults campers I will discount to $15 instead of $20 adults and $5 for kids. We also offer day visits for $5 per person. Plenty of room for caravans, buses and horse floats. I have a round yard and horse yards and horses are $10 per horse/night to cover water costs. BYO hay. Wivenhoe Dam, Atkinson Dam and the Brisbane river are all closeby. The famous rail trail that a lot of horse riders and cyclists enjoy is just a klm down the road. (keep an eye out for koalas) Hope to see you soon at the farm. A few minutes drive to Wivenhoe dam recreation area. 15-minute drive to Fernvale for supplies (and one of the famous pies from the bakery). 20 minute drive to Somerset Dam for all your water sport fun. Stop at a swimming hole or lookout on your way up to scenic Mt Glorious. We are About a 15 minute drive from Northbrook Gorge, a popular local hike. We thoughly enjoyed our time at Bares Hideaway. Camp sites are grassy and level. Facilities were more than adequate. Plenty of room to spread out a little. Close to Granchester Hotel, awesome meals and not too far from Mulgowie when the markets are running. The markets are well worth a visit. Highly recommend staying here for a weekend or a few weeks.

We had such a wonderful stay at Gums. The site was private, peaceful, and a really decent size, giving us plenty of space to relax without feeling crowded. The property is clearly very well looked after, and the added gazebo with chairs and tables was such a bonus, perfect for meals, shade, and winding down in the afternoons. It’s a beautiful escape so close to Brisbane, yet it feels like you’re a world away. We’ll definitely be back!
