Camp fires are permitted in communal fire areas or at your camp in provided fire drums. There is a limited number of fire drums available, so you are welcome to bring your own. The only exception will be if a local fire ban is activated. We have firewood available for sale, or you can collect free firewood off the ground. You are also welcome to bring your own firewood. No chainsaws allowed.

We have firewood for sale, and I make a barrista coffee if your a coffee lover, like myself.
Bring some cash for firewood, coffee and other bits and pieces. There's a kids surprise cupboard, with toys to borrow while your staying here.
The $45 camp fee pays for 2 adults and 1 child. Just message me about extra guests as hipcamp adding extras doesn't work properly. You can pay by cash or transfer on arrival if necessary.
Extra adults campers I will discount to $15 instead of $20 adults and $5 for kids.
We also offer day visits for $5 per person.
Plenty of room for caravans, buses and horse floats. I have a round yard and horse yards and horses are $10 per horse/night to cover water costs. BYO hay.
Wivenhoe Dam (photo of big water mass) , Atkinson Dam and the Brisbane river are all close by. The famous rail trail that a lot of horse riders and cyclists enjoy is just a klm down the road. (keep an eye out for koalas)

Camp fires are permitted in communal fire areas or at your camp in provided fire drums. There is a limited number of fire drums available, so you are welcome to bring your own. The only exception will be if a local fire ban is activated. We have firewood available for sale, or you can collect free firewood off the ground. You are also welcome to bring your own firewood. No chainsaws allowed.

The $45 camp fee pays for 2 adults and 1 child. Just message me about extra guests as hipcamp adding extras doesn't work properly. You can pay by cash or transfer on arrival if necessary.
Extra adults campers I will discount to $15 instead of $20 adults and $5 for kids.
We also offer day visits for $5 per person.
Plenty of room for caravans, buses and horse floats. I have a round yard and horse yards and horses are $10 per horse/night to cover water costs. BYO hay.
Wivenhoe Dam (photo of big water mass) , Atkinson Dam and the Brisbane river are all close by. The famous rail trail that a lot of horse riders and cyclists enjoy is just a klm down the road. (keep an eye out for koalas)

This gem is way bigger and better than the photos show! Such a quiet, peaceful and natural outlook with clean and charismatic facilities built out of recycled materials. The just were lovely and have though out everything, each day Paul and Tracy would drive past to check if we needed anything and Paul was nice enough to take us to feed the pigs, piglets, sheep and goats. We will be back for sure for such an authentic farm stay.

What a lovely spot at Bares Hideaway! Given the small number of campers they accept, there was plenty of space to spread out. I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of toilets and showers. Wherever you chose to set up your camp, you were never far from amenities.
During our stay there was a large group there for a celebration but they were far enough away not to bother us.
We will look forward to coming back again!

Every thing you need in once place, with a beautiful bathroom with hot bath, and flushable toilet…of course with beautiful view. And a nice outside shower and fire pit. Definitely worth another few vissits to hike to mountains and soundings. Catherine is a super host and always responded with very accurate and informative information.

Lalipanzi is an absolute hidden gem, and it is the most well set up Hipcamp I have been to! Rodger has done a wonderful job setting up the campsite with EVERYTHING you could possibly dream of. As experienced campers we are used to bringing everything with us and it was such a treat to have everything ready for us. It was the perfect place to relax with my group of friends after hiking the nearby Tabletop Mountain (definitely check it out!). We will absolutely be returning and we can’t thank Rodger and Jenny enough for being such great hosts!

I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at Bares Hideaway. The location is beautiful. The facilities are basic, but very clean and functional. The people who greeted us were friendly, polite and helpful. For the price it was better than I expected, and I would happily stay again. The only downside for me was that none of the farm animals came to visit when I was there. I am happy to reccommend this place to others.

Rodger and Jenny have made the most comfortable campsite I have ever stayed at. They are naturally wonderful hosts and were so helpful and kind, assisting us with some 4WD trouble up the track (it was pretty full on! A very cool experience but be sure your car is cut out for it) and gave us a tour of the campsite and its facilities. This campsite had absolutely everything you could ever need. Solar powered fridge, sink, drying rack, cleaning cloths and soaps, pots and pans, a gas burner, trash cans, hand soaps, USB chargers, teas and coffees, all sorts of cutlery and dishes, a first aid kit. Quite literally everything you could ever need. I spent the whole trip thinking ‘that is such a great idea!’
It is clear that Rodger and Jenny put so much effort into their beautiful campsite and we were so blessed to be able to stay there.

This was the best Hipcamp that I have stayed at thus far. I went with my two large bread dogs and we camped in a tent. The view was stunning, it truly felt like a private getaway. Rodger and Jenny have set up a fantastic site with everything you could need, including a full kitchen, pots, pans, stove, kettle and a fridge. The bathroom is also fantastic and the shower was lovely and refreshing during the heatwave. Rodger and Jenny were also incredible hosts, meeting me upon arrival and helping get my gear up to the site as I only have a 2WD. We will absolutely be back!!

Stayed for the australia day long weekend. Quiet and peaceful. Facilities are excellent and kept clean. Rosewood is only 15 minutes away if you forget anything, like I always manage to do. Hosts are friendly without intruding.

Nice little private campsite, with clean toilets, hot and cold showers (private and outdoor). Adequate number of rubbish bins and fire bins available. Love seeing the sheep and goats roam around us, eating grass. I was pleasantly surprised by the cool breeze that wafts through every now and then, through the gully. The hosts are friendly, and appear well organised and responsive. Would recommend for a nice,quiet, romantic weekend away.
