Old Peppertree campsite is an elevated campsite that has all weather access and is suitable for 2wd and 4wd vehicles and all RV's and tents.
Bush Camp campsite is further down the back of the property, nearer the bush, downhill, and is suitable for 4wd / SUV vehicles and off-road / higher clearance RV's and tents. However access is fairly easy and this is only a recommendation.
Coobindah is just under 2 hours from Brisbane and is located on the Great Dividing Range. It boasts crisp mountain air and glorious views from the hills.

All sites are private and secluded with great views, great sunsets, and starry night skies. There is an abundance of birds and wildlife including Red Necked Wallabies, Possums, Rufus Batongs, Bandicoots and Echidnas.
There are seasonal creeks and waterfalls and wildflowers. Campers may occasionally be visited by a herd of friendly goats that like soft drink and chips. We often have baby goats and alpacas that are being hand reared which are popular with kids and adults alike.
Dogs are permitted but have to be quiet and restrained. Campfires permitted at our discretion (please ask first - depending on weather conditions). You'll need to BYO wood.
Campers MUST have their own toilet. The standard "Pack it in. Pack it out" rules apply.
All sites are accessible by STANDARD HEIGHT 2WD however 4WD may be required if towing.

The town of Kaimkillenbun (6 km) is known by locals as 'The Bun' easy driving distance to the "Bun Pub" which was built in 1912 and is a great spot to visit for a drink/meal if you are coming to the area.
We are 30 minutes' drive, from the Bunya Mountains National Park which has a variety of different hiking/cycling trails which include lookouts and waterfalls.
Campfires are allowed, permitting there are no restrictions in place. Pets are to be retrained at all times, due to livestock on the property. Campers must be self sufficient, bring their own toilet and take all waste with them on departure.

Farm stays are good but for a select few. The sunrise and sunsets were fantastic and although the days are hot the nights cool down and opportunity to use the large fireplace. Lots of Bindi so wear good soled shoes. Not thongs. The Bun hotel is close and Dalby 20 minutes away. Coomba Falls are good but about 55 minutes drive. We were only campers so that was good

What a beautiful spot! Quiet, green, hills for walking and tiring out the puppies 🤭. We were lucky to snag this camp to ourselves for a weekend! The owners have setup a little off grid kitchen and bathroom which added something we don’t get very often in the bush. Their beautiful mareemas camped up with us while we were there too! We had booked the “old fig tree spot” but found “oak tree” to be a bit flatter and shaded. Picnic table, chairs and table at both sites. Thank you for a great camp!

I loved tent camping at Misty Gullies with my dog. One of the best spots for bird watching. The host Richard was very welcoming and accommodating. The camp-site was private with an amazing view. The signs to the camp-site was clear and easy to follow. Thanks again Richard!

Quiet spot with great hospitality. Shower and toilet is functional, clean and stocked so you don't need to bring the extras. Take advantage of the camp kitchen to do the washing up. Would definitely return. The Fig Tree provided plenty of shade.

Michael is such a welcoming host. Lots of room to camp anywhere. We chose the high ground with the view. The perfect place to view the stars and planets with a big telescope. Close to Crowns Nest, Blackbutt, Maidenwell and Kingaroy. A very quiet and secluded spot he has. Planning has started for the next trip when the weather is clearer.

Fab stay @ Waverley Homestead, would highly recommend. We were lucky enough to have the entire place to ourselves, which made it very special - so quiet, and with stunning views over the paddocks, looking towards the distant mountains. Great for individual campers who like company, but would also be perfect for a small group of friends, as the campfire in the middle makes it great for socializing. Really enjoyed the company of Mikey - resident dog - who is such a sweetheart and hung with us until Gav came home to reclaim him. Gav is lovely - popped down to make sure we had all we needed, and we had a good chat, then he left us to enjoy the solitude. Awesome sunset, and although it was a super hot day, it gradually cooled down and we were able to have a wee campfire, which was magical. Stars were spectacular throughout the night and birdlife lovely to watch in the trees. Plenty of shade for us in our van and flat ground to park up on. Lovely grassy spot with great views. Enjoyed our fire watching it get dark and seeing the lights over Toowoomba after dark. There was a fair bit of road noise but this did not bother us or wake us during the night. Easy to find. Would recommend.

Peace, Serenity, Cows, Stars and a lovely friendly host. This is what you can expect when staying here at Bunya Mountain View. We had a lovely stay here and took our caravan up to the top of the hill. Directions were easy to follow and Chris was just awesome to deal with.

Absolutely stunning sunset views and nice and secluded. Took the advantage of the total fire ban and went to the bun pub for dinner. Awesome old pub with $25 steak night on Thursday nights. Very relaxing atmosphere with the sound of cows all around. Also a great show of stars at night.
Would be great for small groups 4-5 camps/ vans wanting to camp together with large communal fire out in the centre of the camp area. Look out for the resident magpie as he liked to swoop even sitting having your morning coffee. Friendly attentive host with delicious fresh eggs!
