It was designed by Queensland Railways and built from 1910 to 1913 by Queensland Railways. Bunya mountains are an hours drive.

Easy access, which can be accessed by any car. Ripper spot to spend a couple of nights away switching off from the world. Definitely recommend!

Lovely grassy spot with great views. Enjoyed our fire watching it get dark and seeing the lights over Toowoomba after dark. There was a fair bit of road noise but this did not bother us or wake us during the night. Easy to find. Would recommend.

What an incredible spot and so conveniently close to Toowoomba. There was more than enough space for the kids and dogs to run around, explore, ride their bikes, and swim without feeling crowded. Access to the dam was very straightforward with easy entry directly from the road, which made it simple to set up and enjoy the water. The hosts were extremely welcoming from the moment we arrived and went out of their way to be helpful, making the whole stay even more enjoyable. The property felt relaxed, safe, and family-friendly, with a great mix of open areas and scenic views. We had such a great time and will definitely be back again.

A little difficult to find, some signage wouldn’t go astray. Otherwise was a nice place to stay. Bit of road noise (we were in a camper trailer) and sites are not individually signed but fairly easy to determine. Would be difficult in the dark though. Beautiful view and nice mowed green grassy sites. Individual fire pits on some of the sites.

Delightful & responsive hosts and a peaceful site overlooking a dam. Tried our hand at tabbing but too cold, we assume. Plenty of firewood provided. Close enough for some great walks in Crows Nest NP and easy access to town if needed. Stayed an extra night as enjoyed so much. Would definitely return.

Wow! What a wonderful bush camp Vaughn has! Nestled in picturesque bushland, plenty of space to spread out overlooking a little dam. The undercover hut area was a bonus extra space and the fire pit was a very useful set up. We enjoyed a spot of fishing, bush walking along the property tracks and saw many birds, wild pigs, wallaby’s and an echidna. The kids had such an adventure and us adults enjoyed the relaxing bush scenery and sitting around the fire. Vaughn met my FIL on arrival (we were still travelling) and was friendly and welcoming and gave all the info on the campsite. We were blessed with lovely weather and thoroughly enjoyed our stay! Thank you!

Visit the iconic Ambulance Museum that tells the story of Ambulance services in Queensland. We are within easy reach of Highland Falls which has some great walking tracks and view points of the falls. Pets are also permitted in this bushland area but must be on a leash. Please note that there are other dogs and animals in the area. We also have loud grain trains that pass by throughout the day and night. When you are travelling on Shepperd Road look for our "Chookhouse Farm" sign and a chook mailbox, that is the driveway you need to take. Drive up to the sign and call number on sign. Please wait for staff member to come out and greet you in your car. LONG TERM RENTALS AVAILABLE TALK TO THE TEAM FOR MORE INFORMATION Amenity block with hot water and flushing toilets for those booked in Pepperina. ADULTS ONLY STRICTLY NO CHILDREN. LIMITED SITES. Top Paddock power, Top Paddock powered and Paddock Camp unpowered we have gas camp style showers (preset temperature for the safety of children). THERES 2 PIT SHOWERS, HOWEVER NOT ALWAYS WORKING. There are also 3 x BUSH/PIT toilets in the camp areas. In each camp area we have 3 x rubbish bins. Plenty of room for self-contained caravans/motorhomes and places to pitch a tent or camper. National Parks, walking trails, Wineries, Gourmet Pubs and Restaurants, Markets, two magnificent parks with play areas for children and so many other points of interest to see and discover. Being in a rural area we have strict guidelines for campfires. We follow all Local Government guidelines and the QFS. No blazing fires, all fires to be extinguished at night, no coals or ash to be left under trees or on the grass. We will pick up each morning coals and ash if required.

Close to Toowoomba, located at Westbrook, Windy Acres Farm is a lavender and bee farm. With beautiful sunsets over Bunkers Hill and in view of the gorgeous lavender. All sites are private and secluded with great views, great sunsets, and starry night skies. There is an abundance of birds and wildlife including Red Necked Wallabies, Possums, Rufus Batongs, Bandicoots and Echidnas. There are seasonal creeks and waterfalls and wildflowers. Campers may occasionally be visited by a herd of friendly goats that like soft drink and chips. We often have baby goats and alpacas that are being hand reared which are popular with kids and adults alike. Dogs are permitted but have to be quiet and restrained. Emu Creek is looking sensational with recent rains Come and enjoy these camp sites, situated on the banks of Emu Creek which has just had a nice fresh flow. Enjoy the swimming holes whilst they last! There is partial shade and relatively level area to camp. Great bird watching, spot a platypus if you are lucky. Camp fires allowed pending the current drought conditions.
