Deep Creek Camping is a 4WD only campground situated on a quiet farm stay nestled amongst the trees close to the dam. Approximately 15mins north east of Gympie. The terrain is quite hilly and not suitable for large caravans. The dam is there for swimming in the warmer months. Feel free to bring your kayak or paddle board. We have livestock which roam the lands and a couple of dogs. We offer a pet friendly campstay. Definitely a place for relaxing! Welcome to Wolvi Grove - a family run avocado farm approximately 8kms off the Tin Can Bay Road, less than half an hour from Gympie. This camping patch of paradise is private and very quiet; while at the campground you are not able to see the road nor our residence or other campers - the space is all yours! We are very respectful of your space but also keen to chat about all things avocado for those who are interested. *All campers must have their own portable toilet* Please do not request a booking unless you have your own toilet and are fully-self sufficient. You may get to encounter pretty-faced wallabies, rainbow bee eaters, lace monitors and echidnas during your stay. The array of birdlife is equally matched by the magnificent number of stars to view on clear nights. Base price is for the first adult and extra adults and children are priced accordingly. Please ensure booking includes all guests. The main 'Mango Tree Camp' is a large, grassed campground covers a fairly large area suitable for groups up to 6 vehicles/RVs/caravans or tent campers at any one time. There is also a picnic table and book box and large fire pit. During the cooler months 'Orchard Camp' is available for bookings. There is plenty of extra kindling available for guests to collect during their walking travels in the forest. Dogs are welcome but you must pick up after them and tick protection is recommended. Our Kelpie 'CC' might even drop by for a friendly visit and pat. Address available when booking and it’s advisable not to use google maps or you’ll find yourself down a dead end road. Check out the previous camping reviews and feel free to message for further information. Past visitors have gone on day trips to feed the dolphins at Tin Can Bay, gone surfing at the world famous Double Island Point near Rainbow Beach and explored the upper reaches of Noosa River Everglades and Harry's Hut. There is an 'open mic' event at the local Wolvi Hall on the first Friday of each month; family friendly with great food. Fraser Grill and Kin Kin Pub are also fantastic places to eat out while in the area. We aim to please and hope to welcome you soon. The Cooke Family welcomes you to “Hopevale”. A beautiful 113 acre property bordered by Wrattens National Park at the edge of the world in the peaceful Widgee district of greater Gympie. Jason, a landscaper by trade, and Jacinta a teacher by profession, met many years ago at a national Christian youth conference. Four beautiful children later and many years down the track, they bought Hopevale as a blank cattle fattening property in 2018. After much hard work, they have made it what it is today, with plans to continually improve. We have different camp options available, one of which is set up for those guests also wanting to stay with horses or just have a larger group booking. Guests will have access to a toilet and shower throughout their stay which is within walking distance from each of the campsites. Campfires and pets are welcome. The property has only had 4 farming owners in its 110 odd years since it was first surveyed and selected in 1915. The Hillcoats, Bishops, Cotters, and now the Cooke’s. The families over the years have used the property for timber getting, dairy, beef and small cropping. The property is geologically rich with volcanic soils, sandstone escarpments full of caves and overhangs. The mighty Wrattens Falls sits to the back of the property in the National Park and is a sight to behold in full flow. It feeds the head waters of the western branch of Widgee Creek which meanders through the property. The subtropical dry rainforest clad mountains are dominated by the majestic Bunya and Hoop pines and are a testament to what once was covering the entire property before being cleared for farming. Remnant riparian creek lines are botanically rich and diverse holding Red and White Cedar, Teak, Silky oak and many other coveted timber trees harvested back in the day. There are many species of animals and birds that call Hopevale home. From water dragons, frogs and fish in the creeks, monitors, wallabies, deer, koalas, possums and phascogales in the eucalypts. Red-back wrens, pardalotes, rainbow bee-eaters, finches and quail call the open grasses home while whip birds give their iconic call in the forest. Above, birds of prey ride the thermals of the valley looking for their next meal. “We have been blessed beyond measure with a small slice of God’s wonderful creation that we would love to share with you.”

Formally a banana & pineapple plantation, Hunchy Hills is strictly 4WD only access property. There is a toilet and gas hot shower included. If you have a camper trailer it needs to be off-road/high clearance and you need to be experienced in towing off road. No caravans sorry, too steep and tight. Sites 1-3 are large level pads approx. 12M by 12M, each with their own fire pit and log seat. Site 4 is perched on the side of the hill and 6M by 6M in size. Suitable for vehicle based campers/swags/small tents with a sense of adventure and best with max 2 people. We have a backup spot too if access is too difficult. The Rustic Resort Wamuran

If your preferred site is not available , shoot us a message , we may have an alternative for you:) Our rules are really not rocket science, don't take things that are not yours, use the toilets instead of our bush, don't cut down trees or damage things, that includes damaging trees, don't leave anything but ash in the firepit ,make sure the fire is fully extinguished, remove your rubbish and respect and consider your fellow campers and our neighbours. Axe throwing has recently become popular within the city, if you must try it on the property , bring a board, our trees are not to be used as targets. Stay out of our gated paddocks. This is for Biosecurity and your safety. We are trying to create peace and tranquility that people crave so much when they get out of their busy lives. We are not the place for rowdy parties or large groups ( unless you would like to book out the entire property) Most of our sites are nestled on different levels between trees and bush so you will feel like you are the only ones there. You are welcome to have a campfire in the provided fire pit or drum when there is no fire ban in place, however due to the unique surroundings we offer, we do require you to be extra vigilant with fire safety. You are most welcome to use your own off the ground firepit anywhere in your site. Please read site descriptions carefully as we have sites that are substantially different in access, privacy , level ground and distance to a toilet. We affectionately call our property "The Rustic Resort". This is a tribute to the rusty water tanks and dilapidated animal shelters that were left behind when we moved in. Our farm was once part of a thriving rural property in the 1920's. It used to be a dairy farm and then a banana farm. We now raise goats and cattle. Our property is dog friendly to responsible dog owners, we are happy for your pups to be off lead as long as you are the one in control. We have a large farm dam that never runs dry, (NO fishing please as we use this for livestock and swimming, and the last thing we need is hooks in peoples or animals feet. ) It is wonderful for a refreshing swim, there is a ladder to make it easier to get into the dam and during the summer months there are floating noodles for your use. Feel free to bring your paddle boards and canoes. We are centrally located to explore the Glass house mountains ( 20mins), Stoney creek (15min), Rocky holes (35min), Bribie island (40 min), Woodford (10min), Mt Mee (10min), Montville, Maleny (40min) and much, much more. We are 10 minutes from Woodford and the wonderful Woodford Folk Festival. "White Ridge Farm" in Elimbah is only 20 minutes from us, and the kids will love the interactive farm experience and cuddling the baby animals. Wamuran town centre has has an IGA, a wonderful butcher, bakery, bottle shop, 24 hour servo, a rural supply shop, fish and chip shop, a new pizza place and a Thai/Indian take away that is sensational. Wamuran holds a local country market every 4th Saturday per month from 7am to midday. There is a Woodfire pizza van in town 2 out of 4 weekends, look up Deadwood Pizza Wamuran to check the dates. We love them. If you would like to stay longer but feel like you need a shower occasionally, there is a public pool in Woodford and a public pool on King Street towards Caboolture , both are about a 10/15 minute drive from us. Wamuran is less than an hour north from the city, yet you will feel like you are far away. Mountain MiniMoos 4WD Bushcamp is located 15 minutes from Maleny in the heart of the Sunshine Coast Hinterland. It features 3 private sites in a spectacular bush setting (and more are coming!). We welcome small groups and their pets and cater to couples and small groups looking for a secluded weekend away. There is a two night minimum. A MINIMUM OF AWD VEHICLE IS NEEDED JUST TO GET ONTO THE PROPERTY. THERE IS NO WHERE TO PARK VEHICLES THAT CANNOT REACH THE SITE. Please take the track descriptions seriously. We're not embellishing just to discourage inexperienced 4WDers. These are NO JOKE. Gumtree Summit and The Gun Range are up a steep and rocky track that require techincal driving skills and a capable vehicle. These sites are very difficult to access in wet weather. You need to know what you are doing. When booking, ensure you reach each site description thoroughly and send us a message answering the vehicle capability questions prior to requesting a booking. Fuzzy miniature galloway cattle freely roam the property here. If you are not camping at the Summit sites, where they don't tend to go, you may see us driving around in our side-by-side given them lots of treats and cuddles. Other than that, our hope is that you don't see anyone but the local wildlife.

Warrego Warmblood Stud

Warrego Warmblood Stud is an operational horse training property set on a secluded 60 acres just outside Woodford. There is a lovely private dam to camp beside or in amongst some beautiful trees with no one in ear shot, or you can camp in the empty paddock. Or Book a Horseback Forest Trail Ride . Campfires are permitted within local regulations. The campsites are dog friendly (on a lead). There are no amenities here, campers must BYO camping toilet. Allowed small fires and some timber available in the paddocks. Woodford is a little taste of country right on the city’s doorstep. An easy day trip from Brisbane or the Sunshine Coast, this quaint and quiet town is a perfect getaway destination with a little something for everyone. The Woodford region is steeped in history and retains much of its yesteryear charm. The historic pub still stands proudly on the main road through town, while quaint turn-of-the-century buildings house quirky shops and eateries.

Campers will find plenty of spots to park their motorhome or pitch their tent around Coolum, whether you prefer to escape the crowds at a rural Hipcamp or check into a holiday park with powered sites and full amenities.

Sunshine Coast Hinterlands

Rainforest-clad hills blanket the hinterlands, where you can hop between market towns like Eumundi and Montville, hike to waterfalls in Mapleton Falls National Park and Kondalilla National Park, or go hiking, mountain biking, and horseback riding in the Glass House Mountains National Park.

Noosa Heads

Just a 20-minute drive north of Coolum Beach, Noosa Heads is the gateway to the sandy beaches and coastal walks of the Noosa National Park and the wild wetlands of the Noosa Everglades. Further north, follow the Great Beach Drive (4WDs only) all the way to Rainbow Beach, the Great Sandy National Park, and Fraser Island, the ultimate paradise for remote beach camping.

South Sunshine Coast

South of Coolum Beach, take your pick of laid-back beach towns such as Marcoola, Mooloolaba, and Caloundra. The Sunshine Coast stretches all the way to Brisbane, or you can head over to the Bribie Island National Park to camp at secluded bush campsites by the beach.

When to go

Sunny weather is the norm on the Sunshine Coast making Coolum Beach a four-season destination for surfers—in fact, it’s one of the few spots with a year-round patrolled beach. Come in the winter months (June through October) for the chance to spot whales along the coast, or join the crowds for a summer vacay by the beach.
