Sit back after a long day of exploring all Longreach has to offer, look up at a blanket of stars and feel like you're the only people on earth. Leander is a goat property located on a red sand ridge about 25 kilometres from Longreach, Qld. Toby, Georgia, and their two kids farm Rangeland/Boer Goats and also have a small herd of Wagyu cows. The site is completely self-sufficient with no amenities, so please make sure this suits your camping setup. Please note this is a working property - there may be stock around and there is lots of native wildlife. Pets are welcome but we ask you be mindful and they be kept on a leash at all times. We also request you do not go exploring on your own. If you would like a tour, please ask - we'd love to show you around. All weather driveway. Fairly good Telstra reception at all sites.

On a clear night - the stars here are incredible! Please ensure you are fully self-sufficient with have your own toilet, power, water etc, and we kindly ask you take all waste when you go. There is a dump site in Jericho, 27km away. You are welcome to choose your own spot within the designated 2ha cleared camping area. Plenty of space to find your own private, level patch. Lots of space, even for larger vehicles. Plenty of options for shade. Pets are welcome, but they must be kept on a lead at all times, as there are working Maremmers and station dogs in the area. Because of the landscape and some older farm equipment on the land, and in order to maintain a peaceful setting, we prefer to not accept bookings with children.
