Hold it Flats is a 120 acre property that borders the beautiful O'Connell River that has water all year round. Take a walk around the property to check out some of the creatures that have been built out of scrap metal and bush bars that have been built all around the property. There is nice shady trees, green grass and flat camping sites right beside the river with hot showers and flushing toilets. There is plenty of room and some great tracks for the kids and the big kids to ride their push bikes on. The swimming hole is about 2 meters deep and has big shady trees on the edge. There is also enough room for kids to bring their kayaks and have a paddle along the river. We have some hiking tracks up around the hills of our property that have amazing views of the area. All campsites can be provided with their own fire pit. You just pick your spot and we will bring a portable fire pit to you. Fire wood can be purchased at the property. All rubbish must be taken when you, there are no rubbish bins provided.

Buranga Farm is a small organic family-run farm on 60 acres in the Noosa hinterland only ten minutes from Peregian Beach. The property is largely flat with a hill on the Eastern side and a ridgeline at the very back of the property. There are plenty of cleared open areas as well as a mix of lightly treed and native vegetation. Site one and two are located on the hillside looking west to Mount Cooroy and are best suited for couples. Sites three and four share a large open grassed area the flows down to the main dam that offers great swimming. All areas of the property are open to campers to walk through and explore. The farm comprises a series of ponds near the road that are in the process of being renovated for Red Claw Crayfish. There are fruit trees and veggie gardens around the house, as well as a horse and house cow that guests are welcome to interact with. 170 acre private Water Ski Park, nestled in bushland. We no longer offer motorised water sports. NO UNFORTUNATELY WE DO NOT ALLOW YOU TO BRING or USE MOTORISED EQUIPMENT ON OUR PRIVATE LAKE. Somerset Dam is 40minutes away and you are able to use your own motorised equipment there. We are more expensive per person than other camp sites. Please note this includes hipcamp fees and charges and you are covered by hipcamp insurance. We don’t charge for pets, nor do we charge to use our 6 onsite canoes, nor do we charge extra for hot showers or rubbish removal, we have guest wifi. Our 1km private driveway is rough but if driven to conditions a 2wd has no issues. I have a 2wd and drive in and out multiple times per day. Most of the time space is abundant however if choosing to come on a long weekend, Easter or New Years expect it to be a lot busier than your average weekend with larger groups camping together, however still plenty of space between groups. You won’t ever have to trip over your neighbours tent ropes here. Eco friendly lakefront and near to lake front sites. Please don’t arrive expecting lakefront, our sites are all near to and Depending on group size not everyone will have lake frontage. We can never guarantee requests. We assign sites based on numbers and camping equipment. Furtherest camp spot is approximately 500m from amenities block, however porta loos are located in the remote site but it’s a walk or drive back to the showers. Flushing toilets and 2 hot showers available in main area. Please note: toilet cartridges are not to be emptied into our toilets. We have firepits at all campsites and adhere to any fire restrictions. We do not supply BBQ’s please bring your own. Please come to our reception building on the way in, as we need to check everybody in, visitors to your camp site need to sign in and pay a day fee. Welcome to 'Bares Hideaway', a 43 acre property nestled away from prying eyes in a secluded valley along the Liverpool Ranges in Grandchester. We are a short 1 hr drive from Brisbane and Toowoomba surrounded by acres of bushland. We are a 10 minute drive from Rosewood and Laidley where you will find cafes, supermarkets, fuel and a variety of other things to enjoy. Our lovely campground will accommodate swags, tents, campers, caravans and motorhomes. We provide an extensive camping ground which ensures that you will have a large amount of space to set up comfortably. Flushing toilets and hot showers are provided. We offer you the choice of a standard enclosed private shower or the fun of open air showers. We also have ice, firewood and kindling for sale. We are happy for you to come and camp on your own or book the entire place if you have an event, large groups are welcome. There is a designated area that can be hired for parties and private functions with marquees available if required. If you are looking for clothing optional camping we fully welcome this, however we need to know prior to booking clothing optional so we can check on our availability to accommodate you. We support you however we cannot always accommodate you due to other bookings. Pets are welcome and must be under control and on a leash as there are farm animals kept on this property. Camp fires are permitted in communal fire areas or at your camp in provided fire drums. There is a limited number of fire drums available, so you are welcome to bring your own. The only exception will be if a local fire ban is activated. We have firewood available for sale, or you can collect free firewood off the ground. You are also welcome to bring your own firewood. No chainsaws allowed. Please note that there is no potable water on site. You must bring your own DRINKING water. During extreme weather events the property can be affected, so if rain is forecast, please call before heading out. Things to do and see: The Grandchester hotel is a short 10min walk away and offers cold drinks, great meals and friendly country hospitality. Spicers Hidden Vale is approximately 6km away and perfect for bike riders. Rosewood train museum showcases steam locomotives and Grandchester scale model rail rides run once a month. Despite its holiday atmosphere, it’s easy to get away from it all. The best islands for hiking and camping are Whitsunday Island and Hook Island.

Southern Great Barrier Reef Region

Straddling the Tropic of Capricorn, this somewhat under-rated region has much to offer. Visit in summer for turtle nesting and hatching at Mon Repos Conservation Park, or head offshore to Lady Elliot Island. The main towns are Bundaberg and Gladstone, but it’s worth checking out the coastal villages of Agnes Water and 1770 or heading inland to explore the trails and gorges of the spectacular Carnarvon National Park.
