It's so fresh we drink it! Each camping site is by the river, prime position for fishing, canoeing, and swimming. Based on availability, you are welcome to choose your spot on arrival. All options are grassed and level. You will have access to pit toilets (3) otherwise, please BYO facilities. Small campfires are welcome in the fire pits provided, or BYO firepit (permitting there are no restrictions in place at the time). Firewood can be purchased at the time of booking. We’re pet-friendly! Please note, however, that we are a working farm with ongoing activities and resident animals, including livestock and farm dogs, so all pets must be kept under control at all times. Aggressive, disruptive, or potentially dangerous dogs of any type are not allowed — especially restricted breeds (e.g. Pit Bulls, Bull Mastiffs). Only friendly dogs are permitted, and we reserve the right to ask you to leave if your dog is deemed unsafe or aggressive upon arrival. If you have any doubts, please message us prior to booking. Also, please ensure kids are supervised at all times, particularly around the river. Lifejackets are recommended. During your time here, visit the local farm gates in Tumut, Batlow, Tumbarumba, and Adelong for their delicious high-country produce. There are also some beautiful swimming spots and walks to discover in the region, as well as good facilities in town, including the local swimming pool and shopping centre. All campers must have their own supplies and be self sufficient as we do not supply any amenities: you will need to be self-contained with own camping toilet, shower and water. Please do not dig a toilet hole, even though you leave it covered, it doesn't take long for the foxes to dig it up!! There is mobile reception. No shooting, archery or hunting. Camper trailers and caravans are welcome but can only stay at the easily accessible camp site. Please note, the road to the river is now impassable even for 4WD - we will update here when it is back up to scratch. But you do get your pick of 2 other lovely sites!

Get close up to the camels (Houdini, Sadeek and Gobi), Check out our beautiful big highland steer called Jimmy, Roger the donkey always likes a bum scratch, and see the many other animals that live here at Crafty Cider & SMART Animal Sanctuary. Kick back and listen to the quiet around you, enjoy the sounds of the birds and farm animals. "The Orchard" is a beautiful peaceful 5 minute walk down a gravel road with big trees to our Cidery where you can taste and take back to camp some of our cider or sit and have a drink while watching the animals being fed. Maybe book a tour where Tony will show you how we make our cider from the orchard to the bottle and Lorene will show you the amazing animals. You can always jump on your bike and head out on one of the many tracks in the area. You will need to be self sufficient and have your own toilet, water etc. There is no power in The Orchard. Due to people using the orchard as a toilet we are now no longer taking people tenting. You MUST be self sufficient. Head in Batlow to check out the bakery, RSL and Pub and admire the beauty of this small town. Or head upto Tumbarumba where you can visit the Winerys and Ginnery, have lunch at Coroubya wines,The Nest or one of the many cafes. Maybe take the challange of the Tumbarumba rail trail. Check out the water falls, the blowering dam and take in those beautiful mountain views.

Our story starts in Far North Queensland, when a german backpacker, me :), met an Aussie fisherman, Craig. To cut the long story short, after living together in Germany we decided to move back to Australia. We had a vision, trying to find our perfect place to live. Starting out with a car, a camper trailer and two bags we travelled from North Queensland down to Tasmania. Looking for a place to live. On our way through Tumbarumba everything started to unfold and we fell in love with our property. The feel, the experience and the climate. This was it! We've found our perfect place and finally named it "Creal's Rest" which has two meanings for us. Obviously from our name, but also from "creel" which is a wicker basket usually used for carrying fish. Escape the hustle bustle of life on our 10 acres alpaca life style farm which is nestled between beautiful hills and grazing properties on Walteela Road in Mannus (20 min drive to Tumbarumba). Walteela means "Place of Peace" and that is what you might be looking for. No traffic waking you. Listen to the sounds of nature instead... Enjoy the peacefulness, local wildlife (kookaburras, echidnas, wombats, kangaroos, etc.), small creek, stunning mountain views and dark skies for star gazing. Birdwatchers... you'll love it! Love fishing? Enjoy a chat with Craig, who has been a pro line fisherman for 18 years in the GBR! He loves to explore, show off the local fishing spots and a chat about all things fishing! Mannus Creek is only a couple of min drive away and Mannus Lake 15-20 min drive. Hand feed our friendly alpacas, greet our pet chickens and find some eggs. Ask us for some fresh herbs from our garden if you like cooking with a little extra  flavour or use them to enjoy a herbal tea.  Heard of "Swedish Torch" yet? An amazing way of having a campfire, that burns for hours. Cook on it or just enjoy the beautiful mess free fire. Book ahead! Our Space: The guesthouse is approx 100m from our home. In saying that you still have your privacy as there are gardens between us. Being a working farm you will see us moving about however we will leave you be unless you would like to interact! The guesthouse has 2 levels with the upstairs level containing a queen bed with luxurious Sheridan sheets and French linen bedding, reverse cycle aircon, flow-on heating from the fireplace downstairs, and a bathroom ensuite with a shower and toilet with toweling included. There is also a balcony off the upstairs room overlooking the gardens and market garden space. We also provide comfy and warm swags and camp mattresses for up to 2 kids to sleep in. Downstairs is a separate toilet, dining, and lounge area with a double fold-out sofa bed. The woodfire provides plenty of warmth and we provide you with chopped wood. The kitchenette is a simple little kitchen with a bar fridge, benchtop induction cooker, and a slow cooker for your meals as there is no oven. There is also a BBQ for your use as well. It is well equipped to dine at home with all essential cookware and locally sourced condiments. Enjoy your meals inside or in our outdoor dining setting. There is a full house water filtration system giving you beautiful quality water to drink and shower in. We provide a variety of herbal teas and locally ground coffee with a coffee machine. Relax with our selection of books and games. There is a steam sauna available for use as well. Take a walk by the creek and maybe take a picnic basket to enjoy there too. If you would like a personalized tour of the farm please let us know prior to arriving. Guest access You will have your own access to the guesthouse with a car space. Small campfires are welcome in the fire pits provided, or BYO firepit (permitting there are no restrictions in place at the time). Firewood can be purchased at the time of booking. We’re pet-friendly! Please note, however, that we are a working farm with ongoing activities and resident animals, including livestock and farm dogs, so all pets must be kept under control at all times. Aggressive, disruptive, or potentially dangerous dogs of any type are not allowed — especially restricted breeds (e.g. Pit Bulls, Bull Mastiffs). Only friendly dogs are permitted, and we reserve the right to ask you to leave if your dog is deemed unsafe or aggressive upon arrival. If you have any doubts, please message us prior to booking. Also, please ensure kids are supervised at all times, particularly around the river. Lifejackets are recommended. During your time here, visit the local farm gates in Tumut, Batlow, Tumbarumba, and Adelong for their delicious high-country produce. Kick back and listen to the quiet around you, enjoy the sounds of the birds and farm animals. "The Orchard" is a beautiful peaceful 5 minute walk down a gravel road with big trees to our Cidery where you can taste and take back to camp some of our cider or sit and have a drink while watching the animals being fed. Maybe book a tour where Tony will show you how we make our cider from the orchard to the bottle and Lorene will show you the amazing animals. You can always jump on your bike and head out on one of the many tracks in the area. You will need to be self sufficient and have your own toilet, water etc. There is no power in The Orchard. Due to people using the orchard as a toilet we are now no longer taking people tenting. You MUST be self sufficient. Head in Batlow to check out the bakery, RSL and Pub and admire the beauty of this small town. Or head upto Tumbarumba where you can visit the Winerys and Ginnery, have lunch at Coroubya wines,The Nest or one of the many cafes. Maybe take the challange of the Tumbarumba rail trail. Check out the water falls, the blowering dam and take in those beautiful mountain views.

Our story starts in Far North Queensland, when a german backpacker, me :), met an Aussie fisherman, Craig. To cut the long story short, after living together in Germany we decided to move back to Australia. We had a vision, trying to find our perfect place to live. On our way through Tumbarumba everything started to unfold and we fell in love with our property. The feel, the experience and the climate. This was it! We've found our perfect place and finally named it "Creal's Rest" which has two meanings for us. Obviously from our name, but also from "creel" which is a wicker basket usually used for carrying fish. Escape the hustle bustle of life on our 10 acres alpaca life style farm which is nestled between beautiful hills and grazing properties on Walteela Road in Mannus (20 min drive to Tumbarumba). Walteela means "Place of Peace" and that is what you might be looking for. No traffic waking you. Listen to the sounds of nature instead... Enjoy the peacefulness, local wildlife (kookaburras, echidnas, wombats, kangaroos, etc.), small creek, stunning mountain views and dark skies for star gazing. Birdwatchers... you'll love it! Love fishing? Enjoy a chat with Craig, who has been a pro line fisherman for 18 years in the GBR! He loves to explore, show off the local fishing spots and a chat about all things fishing! Mannus Creek is only a couple of min drive away and Mannus Lake 15-20 min drive. Hand feed our friendly alpacas, greet our pet chickens and find some eggs. Ask us for some fresh herbs from our garden if you like cooking with a little extra  flavour or use them to enjoy a herbal tea.  Heard of "Swedish Torch" yet? Our Space: The guesthouse is approx 100m from our home. In saying that you still have your privacy as there are gardens between us. Being a working farm you will see us moving about however we will leave you be unless you would like to interact! The guesthouse has 2 levels with the upstairs level containing a queen bed with luxurious Sheridan sheets and French linen bedding, reverse cycle aircon, flow-on heating from the fireplace downstairs, and a bathroom ensuite with a shower and toilet with toweling included. There is also a balcony off the upstairs room overlooking the gardens and market garden space. We also provide comfy and warm swags and camp mattresses for up to 2 kids to sleep in. It is well equipped to dine at home with all essential cookware and locally sourced condiments. Enjoy your meals inside or in our outdoor dining setting. There is a full house water filtration system giving you beautiful quality water to drink and shower in. We provide a variety of herbal teas and locally ground coffee with a coffee machine. Also within close travel are the towns of Tumbarumba, Adelong and Batlow. The weather can change very quickly, and temperatures can drop to below zero with snow in Winter. Campfires are allowed during the winter season and each bunker has a fire pit. Our aim is to provide a comfortable bed in an alpine off grid setting for those who seek an experience in nature. Located on Batlow Road you will experience some road traffic noise and log truck activity during peak hours in the morning and afternoon. A small reminder that you are still close to civilization.

The space Our guesthouse is set on our 33-acre property and is located in Oura, just 25 minutes from the center of Wagga Wagga. Nestled amongst the rolling hills of Oura you will be immersed in the stillness of nature. On a clear night enjoy the beautiful display of stars undisturbed by the city lights. Just 15 minutes down the road is Oura Beach.. a little reserve on the Murrumbidgee river. Only 25 minutes away is the famous Junee Chocolate factory. Just a short 11-minute drive is the Wild Vine Winery and if you would like to indulge in some pampering book yourself in for a massage with Brooke at Figtree retreat just 7 minutes drive away. Our Space: The guesthouse is approx 100m from our home. In saying that you still have your privacy as there are gardens between us. Being a working farm you will see us moving about however we will leave you be unless you would like to interact! The guesthouse has 2 levels with the upstairs level containing a queen bed with luxurious Sheridan sheets and French linen bedding, reverse cycle aircon, flow-on heating from the fireplace downstairs, and a bathroom ensuite with a shower and toilet with toweling included. There is also a balcony off the upstairs room overlooking the gardens and market garden space. We also provide comfy and warm swags and camp mattresses for up to 2 kids to sleep in. Downstairs is a separate toilet, dining, and lounge area with a double fold-out sofa bed. The woodfire provides plenty of warmth and we provide you with chopped wood. The kitchenette is a simple little kitchen with a bar fridge, benchtop induction cooker, and a slow cooker for your meals as there is no oven. There is also a BBQ for your use as well. It is well equipped to dine at home with all essential cookware and locally sourced condiments. Enjoy your meals inside or in our outdoor dining setting. There is a full house water filtration system giving you beautiful quality water to drink and shower in. We provide a variety of herbal teas and locally ground coffee with a coffee machine. Relax with our selection of books and games. There is a steam sauna available for use as well. Take a walk by the creek and maybe take a picnic basket to enjoy there too. If you would like a personalized tour of the farm please let us know prior to arriving. Guest access You will have your own access to the guesthouse with a car space. Feel free to wander the market garden space and explore the creek and paddocks. Other things to note There are some open water areas including fish ponds and the creek so small children must be supervised to ensure their safety

An extensive river side campsite with easy 2WD access to the property. A mix of clear campsites suitable for caravans and tree grove campsites great for rooftop or tent camping. There were drop toilets available which were surprisingly clean. Be aware that in summer months the fly population will be significant due to it being a working cattle property but in cooler months no problem and the bonus of being able to have a campfire.

We loved our stay at Bahwidgee. So peaceful and relaxing. Was easy access in on a well maintained road. Level grassy sites of your choice right on the Tumut River. River was a bit chilly due to recent snow but was so refreshing. We loved the cows coming past for their afternoon stroll. Thanks Wayne for offering a beautiful property for others to enjoy. Highly recommend. One of our favourite Hipcamps so far.

Great spot right on banks of Tumut River. Clean pit toilet, friendly cows, plenty of space and privacy. River was cold when we were there in December but still beautiful for a dip and crystal clear. A sign of a good hipcamp is if you would return or not and we will certainly be back.

Beautiful spot, views amazing, ditto birdlife. About 8 to 10 riverside spots, which are easy for any vehicle to access and can cope with large groups. Only 5 mins from Tumut coffee etc but can only see hills and river from camp. Camp-site area is regular rectangle bounded by river on one side and fences on the others, so could fit another 8 to 10 along the back. 87 would prob require vertical stacking.
