Nestled under the Watagan mountains escarpment in the Hunter valley, the property has some amazing views in all directions, but still remains secluded and hidden from view. The property has been selectively cleared to maintain a balance of open land and untouched bushland which has a boundary to the Watagans National Park.
The animal life is very diverse as many species transition from the Watagans into the property and many live on site full time. These include flocks of amazing bird species such as Gang gang and Black Cockatoos, resident Wedge tailed eagles, Kookaburras, finches, honey eaters, Coucals, Lyrebirds and more. Wallabies of various types are common, and Sugar gliders can be seen on the flowering Eucalypts.
The camping areas for RV's sit on a large elevated flat area that border a large gorge with broken views towards the Hunter Valley vineyards. The Gorge (or Canyon) is rimmed by caves and has rainforest type trees in the bottom. The caves can be explored and the rainforest can be walked if you are fit!
The tent and camper trailer areas are terraced into an area of slight slope with a number of sites to chose from. Non potable water taps are available at each caravan site and at intervals in the camping area. This water is clear fresh dam or bore water and can be used for showers, washing up etc. Two flush toilets are available for use by both RV's and campers. There is a central fire pit.
We have a private site which has open views over the Hunter Valley to the Vineyards and beyond to the Barrington tops. This site has a cliff edge pool that comfortably fits up to 4 people for a dip. This area has a large fire pit that can be used to heat the pool in winter.
This site has its own flushing toilet and Shower. This site is best suited to a caravan as it is terraced, though it would be possible to setup tents or a camper van in this location also. This can also be booked as a group site.
16minutes to Cessnock, 25minutes to the M1, 2.25 hours to Sydney central and 25 minutes to Pokolbin.
The location is generally very peaceful with all sorts of wildlife.
There is plenty of ground sticks for fire wood and bulk timber for purchase.

You can spend your days fishing, kayaking or enjoying Nelson Bay and surrounding areas and beaches which are only 15 minutes away. Guests have the use of a retreat shelter/fire place/BBQ area and wifi.
Campers must try to be self contained bringing their own water, toilet and shower. Sorry, no caravans over 20ft. Suite solo travellers, couples wanting a quiet weekend and LGBT friendly. We do have available tank, rain water for drinking, a toilet and hot shower, microwave and free wifi available for those who cannot be totally self contained. Yes there are mozzies because you are near water, so bring repellent.

We are a farm forestry property located in the middle of the north shore of Port Stephens. Two hours north of Hornsby. 1 hour north of Newcastle.
2 mins to Pindimar beach, 9 minutes to Coles and bottle shop, 11 minutes to surf beach Bennett Beach 12 minutes to Jimmy's Beach.
Pets are welcome please pick up after them. Unfortunately, due to a recent incident. All dogs from now on must be on a leash at all times. The dangerous dog in question bit 4 people in less than 24 hours. Including my husband twice. You know your dog, But you cannot predict what another campers's dog is going to be like. Any dog on the NSW dangerous dogs list is absolutely not welcome here.
Free use of fire pits and free firewoods. You will need to be split the logs yourself. axes and wheelbarrows are supplied.
Hot showers and decent toilets, Good mobile phone signal. Two Communal Fridges .There is lots of space for campers. We have two sites with shade, four without. We suggest you bring a decent quality gazebo or equivalent. If you choose a non-shady site and then it's sunny, it is beyond our control.
We are located on a dead end road, so very rare to have any traffic after 8pm.
PLEASE NOTE: 1) We ONLY ALLOW ONE camper trailer or ONE caravan per site. No limit on number of tents.
2) IF You Have more than 3 vehicles/site please contact host before booking.
3) Depending on the weather on the day, we may have to limit the number of vehicles that can be parked adjacent to your campsite.
4) NO late night check in . If you are a group larger than two people, the check in time is between midday and sunset. Do not arrive after sunset. If in doubt call.
5) As the business name suggests (mountain) our property is on a hill. we are creating more level campsites. This year the weather has been terrible. From record rain to drought conditions in 3 months. Because of the earthworks there has been a bit of dust, which we have tried to control with grass seed and then no rain.... once each section of earthworks is done. Shade trees are being planted. But they are slow to grow.
6) Please check weather report a minimum of 7 days before you arrive and CANCEL your booking if you are not sure.

Welcome to HOME – a secluded off-grid camping experience in the heart of nature.
Tucked away and surrounded by national park on three sides, this is as peaceful and remote as it gets. No crowds, no noise, no rush. Just open land, fresh air, and the sound of birds from sunrise to sunset.
HOME is designed for those who truly enjoy nature and simplicity. This is a fully self-sufficient camping site, meaning you will need to bring everything you need for your stay. There is no power on site, and no luxury infrastructure – you are here to connect with the land and the nature.
We offer access to a shower and a compost toilet, but everything else is up to you. Think of it as camping the way it was meant to be.
You’ll be sharing the space with wildlife – kangaroos, wombats, and an abundance of birdlife call this place home. If you’re lucky (and respectful), you might even spot our very shy red-bellied black snake, who prefers to keep to itself.

From the very first interaction with Kellie and Rod the communication and directions were great and OKA was amazing , we were directed to a great spot handy too the amazing camp kitchen more like a “glamp “kitchen there isn’t anything they haven’t thought of to make your stay as comfortable as possible …. So close to town but you feel miles away lost in the sounds of wildlife and birds .. Ruby was a gorgeous host too . We were self contained but there is a great shower and toilet available we will definitely recommend too anyone and we will be back …

Beautiful location - foggy mornings and horses roaming wild! We even saw two macaws. Good location to explore the local area - 15min to Gosford, 30mins to Terrigal. Site 1 was a little hard to get our caravan level, but easy to navigate, as it was the first site in. Host was lovely to chat to!

Louise was super lovely I turned up at like 8pm in winter so well after dark, fully expecting to be told that she didn’t have space but she was super helpful, and welcomed me anyway. She has a nice little field round the back of her home where you park up. She gave me a tour which included a picnic spot under cover with campfire, kettle and Microwave. As well as a toilet and hot shower. There was a plug in spot to if needed for laptops and such. Area was super quiet and just across the road there’s an awesome ray, reptile and shark rehab center where you can get up close and personal with the animals. Would definitely 100% recommend.

We loved staying at Bev's land! The grass it's very well maintained, the toilets are kept cleaned (they even have a list that you can take with you of things to do in the area), we also loved the play area they created for kids and adults :)

We had a great weekend at Wywurri. Stayed in site 1, which after checking them all out we definitely think was the best. Only negative with this site over others, is that all other campers drive past when going in and out, and there is the horse property next door which always had something happening, but this didn't bother us at all, and we loved having the rocky outcrop the kids and dogs could climb, and also provide privacy from other sites.
Noise from the M1 was audible, but it was just a background hum, and certainly didn't bother us at all.
We'd happily return here.
We comfortably fit 2 caravans on the grassed area, and used the dirt space next to the rock to have our seating and campfire.
