This is my second stay at Tinker Farm. I like it because it is both quiet and secluded but also close to the main road allowing me to easily commute each morning. It is very good value for the price.

Overall we had a great experience, such a lovely spot in an awesome location ( so close to Anna bay). However the site was close to other campers ( who decided to stay up partying till 3am), so it wasn’t as tranquil as expected.

It was okay… relatively cheap but also super close to the highway. I knew that prior to booking so wasn’t too much of an issue but no one had come round to clean up from the person before us. Lots of litter & debris

With only 5 sites, the camping is very private, but the 4 lane road, which is about 100 metres away from the sites, is busy 24 x 7, therefore hard to get a goodnight sleep. The one toilet had the door broken and to one side and the shower used brown rain water. If all sites are full, the ammenties are next useless. Recommended only for a one night stopover!

Quick stop over

Overall, we had a positive experience. You can hear the highway since it’s nearby, but cars can’t see into the site, which was a plus. The site was clean, and it was a nice touch that bug spray and any repellent were provided. The instructions were clear, and we think it’s an ideal spot for a quick stopover on a road trip.

AMAZING HIDDEN CAMPSITE!

Such an amazing gem of a spot nestled in a perfrct location. Super private, surrounded by bushland and birds. Location is great 10 minutes to the shops and closest beach. Brewery/winery is 5 minutes walking distance where youre about to feed all farm animals too. Fireplace provided was great and timber was free what ever we found on site. Owner is very lovely and helpful and even gave us some duck eggs. Don't forget your closed shoes for at camp-site because there are a few critters. HIGHLY RECCOMEND!!!

Easy access to a piece of land just off the road to legally park. Expensive for what it is. A long to sit on and space for a firepit if you want

A bit close to the main road in terms of sound and not a lot of even ground to setup. Felt private and the site is surrounded by beautiful trees, with a fire pit. Close to beaches and shops. Had heaps of mozzies but that’s camping in summer 😅

Directions were really clear however I thought the site was a little more sloping than I expected. I did love the shadiness of the site and the proximity of the camping to the beautiful beaches in the area. Having 3 dogs I was happy that the other campers were lovely with them even though at times they would push the boundaries of friendliness. My dogs sometimes barked and I was appreciative that the other campers were tolerant of them. I would have liked the rain water to not have been so chlorinated as it left a smell on my skin that I found unpleasant. I understand that this may be necessary to some extent but maybe a little less chlorine would do the same job or a carbon filter as I have on my rainwater tank to make it safe to drink may be an option. The bull ants kept me on my toes but I am aware of being in their territory and they are definitely not off putting for me coming back. I loved having a degree of separation from the next camping spot as I stayed for 7 days and felt very comfortable for the time I was there.

Very close to a 100km/h road car noise all night, only one line of trees separating the camp site from the street. Fairly close to the beach and shops.

Lovely dog-friendly camping spot

The bush camping site felt secluded while still being close enough to a couple of off-leash dog beaches and the shops. Lovely spot to bring your dog. Sites are allocated and are well spaced apart from each other. Fire pits provided and campfires allowed.

Photos are misleading

Photos are misleading - no photos on the listing of “B1 bush camp” include any photos of the B1 bush camp - they only include photos of the other sites. When we arrived we found that B1 site didn’t match the photos on the B1 site listing. After calling the host and explaining our disappointment, we were offered another site (site E2) on the property (one that was pictured in the listing). Site E2 was great and would definitely recommend! However I would not recommend site B1 (which we originally booked). Overall host was very helpful

We were a bit taken aback by how close to the main road the sites were. (Even though the blurb did state 85 metres)And although had plenty of shade, we thought the site unsuitable for rest and relaxation, a one night pitstop we could have handled. The sites were outside the farm gate. We didn’t make it to the amenities and found a more suitable site. I did get a message the next day saying they had dropped off some firewood for us. Which is nice

A small, easy, comfy campsite

This site is exactly as described in the listing. It is a simple site that was an ideal stopover for us. It is well located, an easy drive to local areas including Shoal Bay. Plenty of space between pitches so we had our own little spot. No complaints from us. We were aware of the proximity to the road, so used ear plugs and had an undisturbed night's sleep. Can't speak to the facilities as we didn't use them. It may not be for everyone but I think Anouke and Sacha have been clear about the site and what to expect.

The spot was ok. Enough privacy, however.. the add said it's a farm, but you're sleeping along side the highway, just behind two lines of trees. It was so noisy, that I couldn't sleep. The site had lots of sand which supposed to help with pinning down the tent, but there was so much of it, that mild gust of wind was able to pull the pegs out. Lastly, it was on the slope, so you feel like sleeping on the hill, so make sure you have only half a cup filled, or it will spill.
