Two campsites share 20 Acres of cottonwood trees on the Wingecarribee river. They are 250m apart and both on the riverfront giving you the seclusion you need while allowing you access to all that the Highlands have to offer. Bring your fishing rod and yabbie net, sit at the large picnic table, rent a kayak and go for a paddle, come say hello to the miniature Hereford cattle and enjoy the half drum fire pit while watching the cows grazing across the river. If you are bringing dog(s) then they must be on a lead or consider Yabbie which is enclosed. Of course you will be tempted to explore the area. Wings sits directly between Bowral and Moss Vale (both are less than 5km away) and is 14 km from historic Berrima so you can leave the camper and head into town to enjoy the old world charm of the area. The Southern Highlands is ideal if you’re wanting to escape Sydney (100km) or Canberra (160km) without lengthy travel. Had a great stay at Yabie corner.Beautiful spot to stay with the grandkids. They loved the kayaks and catching yabies. The cows were a highlight. Kids loved them and they where very friendly even with the dogs.The hosts and his family great. Would highly recommend this camp.

Weekend Trip to Trout Valley Retreat

Had a wonderful trip with a large group of 14 people and two dogs. It's a really beautiful and scenic place to rest and relax and the dogs had so much fun running around the field of wild daisies. The cabin with a flushable toilet and shower really added a level of comfort to the trip, especially on a particularly windy day which meant we ended making use of the kitchen which is very well equipped. In terms of the drive up, it's doable in a smaller car, don't require a 4WD. The roads are gravelled with a number of pot holes and uneven surfaces so best to drive slowly. A big thank you to Tom for his excellent communication and clear instructions, and for helping us with a small issue at the end of the trip. Would definitely love to return here again.

This was truly a stunning stay. The views accross the water and the sounds of so many different bird life. the area was fenced off so I felt totally safe letting the pups run freely. Vallance was such an accomodating host who even on a Friday afternoon came down to help me out of a pickle I had gotten mysleft into. Such a gentleman. and if your lucky enough you might even get lucky with some free range eggs. A beautiful spot. I will re visit one day soon.

My family really enjoyed staying at Tom's Farm, and would definitely be back again. We had the whole place to ourselves, and there was plenty to do - fishing, collecting firewood, reading, riding bikes, exploring, spotting wildlife. The cabin was an unexpected luxury. Three days flew by. Our dog had the time of his life, too!

Just back from our long weekend getaway at the Old Air strip. Beautiful, secluded and lots of space. We setup at the dam. No alarm clocks needed as you wake up to the laugh of Kookaburra's while at night you are entertained by the sound of silence your bushveld tv (camp fire) and a frog choir. Easy to find, peaceful and private.

Good spot if you plan to visit Wombeyan caves, it’s not very long drive from the campground. Campground was very easy to find (followed instructions from the host). Saw many kangaroos that night. Toilet is not in good shape and it would be nice if it had a door (it was lying on the ground next to the toilet for some reason). Wasn’t an issue for us, but still would be better if it’s fixed. We could hear a party from neighbouring property, but luckily they finished not very late at night and it wasn’t very loud, so it wasn’t an issue for us.

We loved our stay at Horses for healing at Sussex Inlet and would highly recommend this spot for anyone who is looking to stay at quiet and secluded spot. The property was easy to find and host met us at arrival. Campground is located near the paddock with alpacas and a donkey (host told that we could pet them, but they were shy and kept their distance, so we decided not to disturb them). We saw many kangaroos during our stay as well. Overall nice spot and would try to come again during warmer months.

Had the whole place to ourselves, great spot right be a rushing river with bush walks and heaps of wildlife around. Handy to have a cabin onsite with a bathroom and some cooking facilities that we could have used if we needed, and Tom’s communication with us made the whole thing a piece of cake. Great spot, we’ll be back for sure!
