I must say this is one for the 1st hipcamps we have been to where the pictures are accurate. The camp sites and surrounding land is manicured. On arrival we met Hayden who took us to our camp site and gave us the lay of the land and local knowledge then Bee and Ash came down to welcome us. Great place to bring a bike,kayak and fishing gear. The ringers hut was awsome to play with the kids some ping pong and an awsome old school arcade machine.

This camp is a quaint and quite spot by the river. We were lucky enough to largely be there by ourselves and had a very relaxing time. The fish on the tally board as well. The owner also allowed us to use some of his rain water to fill up our van. Six nights of tranquil quietness. Highly recommended!!

Best camping right on the river banks, lovely grassy sites spent the week fishing and relaxing. Nothing was too much trouble for Scott and even brought down a pot to throw in the river. Loved we had full use of rhw camp kitchen to ourselves. Will definately be back.

Scott and Marg are lovely hosts. Site 4 was fabulous for fishing. Managed to land several bream and a flathead. Did get a chance to throw a crab pot in but looks like it would be good at the end of the site. Well kept site with a great outlook on the creek.

We loved camping at Site 1. We had exclusive use of the camp kitchen and plenty of space to spread out. Scott and Marg are terrific hosts, friendly and welcoming. Only 25 mins inland from Port Macquarie, a cafe just 5 mins away and 10 mins off the Pacific Highway, we highly recommend this place for either a stop over or a week's stay. We stayed for 3 nights and loved it. The fishing was great as well! Thanks Scott and Marg.

I’ve camped at Scotts Property many times, and Site 4 is definitely a favourite. It’s beautifully maintained and offers the kind of peaceful retreat that makes you feel a million miles away from life’s worries. A standout feature for me is the natural beauty — looking across the river to the untouched bushland is a view that seems unchanged for hundreds of years and gives you hope it’ll remain that way for hundreds more. It’s the kind of place that’s good for your soul.

A little peace of heaven. Loved this spot and the stillness, peace and privacy. Perfect location to get away from it all and relax. The riverside setting was perfect and we enjoyed a refreshing swim or two. It was easy to access in our 7m motorhome. Our hosts were wondering and gave us a warm welcome, being very attentive. Highly recommended and worth the drive in on the unsealed road. Five stars.

If you want to avoid the crowds our property is only 10 minutes drive to great local surf and fishing beaches at Crescent Head. There is an abundance of bird life, the odd kangaroos and wallabies, and other wildlife. There is a melaleuca forest that children are welcome to play in and build a cubby house, and 2 pretty little dams to catch yabbies, and for dogs to enjoy a swim. The property where camping is provided is approx 20 acres with a limit of 10 groups so you can find your own little piece of paradise. There is plenty of fire wood for you to collect on the property on your way in. Please help yourself to any fallen timber for firewood but please do not cut any standing trees down. When checking out, ensure you properly extinguish fires and return any unused firewood to the bush. Dogs are welcome to be here off leash as long as they are well socialised and reasonably obedient. There is large areas for them to run freely and dams to swim in. It is accessible via a 2WD dirt road, even with a little wet weather. If rainfall is extreme we recommend 4wd's. The property is completely off grid so we have a 'leave it as you found it' approach. This means you will need a camp toilet, and to take all of your rubbish with you. We are a rural property so do not have rubbish collection services. (Fees apply for any left behind rubbish). Happy camping!

Heartwood Farm is a centrally located 120 acres on the Mid-North Coast - about halfway between Sydney and Brisbane, only 1.5 kms off Pacific Highway, 25 mins to Port Macquarie, 15 Mins to Kempsey, 30 minutes to Crescent Head and 45 mins to South West Rocks. We are off grid and live close to nature and enjoy the abundance that provides. We have been building and developing for the last few years. We are still a work in progress. There are three Brumbies that live over the fence and 5 other horses that will no doubt come and say hello. They are all friendly, especially if you have a carrot. There are also a lot of kangaroos and wallabies, some quite friendly as they have been raised by our neighbour who does animal rescue. There are also a lot of different species of birds, including the much-loved Black Cockatoos which are in abundance here. We have also seen turtles, frilled neck lizards, diamond pythons, red belly black snakes (rarely) and goannas.

Come camp along the beautiful Wilson River on a working cattle property. Shady, grassy campsites by a flowing river, just 25 minutes drive from Port Macquarie. Check in time is strictly prior to 7pm. The camp area includes toilets, a basic camp shed, where campers can make use of the picnic table, stainless steel food preparation bench and camp fire pit. There are only 2 sites available with power which is included in the site price. Check out our discount for single travelers and extras like eggs and firewood. Fresh honey also available sometimes during the year. Toilet block newly built. Early check in and late checkout available on request. Laundry services available on request. If you have 3 or more children please call me for a discount. Also we have a huge discount for single travels. Kids will love the farm tour (4.45pm to 5.30pm daily) for the feeding of chickens, horse, sheep and goats. It's an excellent area for mountain bike riding as well! Kayaks available for free. Don't have a caravan, we have partnered up with Wrighty's Caravan Hire and Repairs. linktr.ee/wrightyscaravans. They offer family caravans delivered, setup ready for you to enjoy. Generators are allowed for short period of time but not permitted after 8pm. 6. Dogs on leads when walking around the farm - Limit of 2 dogs per camp site.
