We are a developing off-grid farm, located at Grants Beach, minutes from the beautiful Bonny Hills and 25 minutes south of Port Macquarie. So close to the surrounding towns yet so secluded. We are nestled amongst lush bush with lots of resident kangaroos, wallabies and birdlife. We consider our parcel of land a very unique place and offer an ideal setting for a relaxing getaway.
Our property is 177 acres with 17 acres of green open pasture for you to find your own patch, and plenty of sunshine for your solar needs. We also have exclusive access to Queens Lake with a lovely trail you can walk or drive, and a peaceful place to take a leisurely kayak ride, paddleboard or try your hand at fishing. Grants Beach access is across the road from our driveway where you can go swimming, surfing, fishing and even 4WD along the beach.
We welcome you to find a spot that feels comfortable for you to set up your camp, but please note the following conditions:
- All campers must be self-contained with their own power, water, and waste management.
- Pets are welcome but must be kept on a lead at all times.
- Due to the bush fire danger period, campfires are not permitted from 1st October to 31st March. From 1st April, all fires must be contained in a firepit.
We’re creating a thriving and sustainable lifestyle here at Wild Hope Farm and would love for you to share in the experience. As we grow and refine the property, you may notice a few areas under construction.

Located on the Mid North Coast NSW, 4kms off the Pacific Highway, and a quick 13/15-minute drive to the holiday township of Port Macquarie. Port Macquarie is known for its beautiful beaches, coastal scenery and walks, koala hospital, local strawberry and tomato picking, and 4WDing at nearby beaches and through Cairncross State Forest.
Bernard and Susan are custodians of the farm, primarily using the land for poultry (egg), pig, and goat farming. They are transitioning to an off-grid and eco-friendly lifestyle for their retirement.
The Hatch Farm is home to many animals, most of whom are rescues - including border collies, cavalier king charles spaniels, chickens, ducks, pigs, sheep, goats, miniature horses, cows, cats, rabbits, and guinea pigs. There is plenty to do and see around the farm from complete relaxation, interacting with the friendly animals (there is usually a variety of babies to cuddle!), to casting a line or launching your boat from the rustic boat ramp. Please note that all animal interactions are self-led (including our animal nursery), and children must be supervised by their parents/carers. During NSW School Holidays, host led animal interactions will be available at designated times.

Hosts were so lovely and we opted for the breaky basket which was a highlight! Definitely recommend.
Close to town but the camp site was dead quiet, you’d never know. Only sounds were from the nearby kangaroos munching the grass.

We had an amazing stay at The Hatch and couldn’t recommend it more. Susan and Bernard were incredibly friendly and welcoming hosts, which made us feel right at home from the moment we arrived.
The campsites are spacious and well laid out, with large shelters and easy access to the river. Toilets and showers were spotless and clearly very well maintained. The setting is wonderfully relaxing and quiet—perfect for switching off and enjoying nature.
For families, the animal nursery and the abundance of playground equipment would be a real highlight. We also loved the free kayaks, which were fantastic for exploring the river, and there are plenty of great spots for fishing too.
Overall, it was a fantastic experience, and we will definitely be coming back.

We have had multiple stays at Richards & Roslyn's land over the last 2 years, and trip by trip the place has improved so much.
They show great appreciation to all of their guest and an example was them bringing Zooper Doopers round to all of the visitors.
I highly recommend visiting this place!

It was a grand camp-site with beautiful water views. Very quiet and calm. We had a party of 12 with a caravan, tents and swags, a boat and 2 jetskis with plenty of room to spare. We had our cars beside us. We found out to be a very secure site. Susan and Bernard were very accommodating and approachable. All of the animals were great. The babies were so cute and being able to pat and hold them was. a highlight. We caught some fish from the bank and jagged a big crab that we cooked up for a snack for 12. Firewood and bait was available to purchase and the amenities were well looked after. The young at heart enjoyed the trampoline and the climbing equipment.

We've come to Stoney Park a few times as it's one of our favourite places for the whole family, including our puppy!
The grass is always well maintained, toilets cleaned regularly and the lake is lovely.
We wish there were some more activities availables or um upgraded playground bit still a great spot for camping!!!

Riverside Escape is a hidden gem, the property is beautiful, well maintained and peaceful.
Richard is a lovely host he greeted us and showed us to our site which was over looking the lake and just a short stroll to the local horses, cows and chickens.
A lovely lady came to deliver some carrots so that we could feed the horses :) such a great experience!
We are planning on returning very soon, Thank you Daniel, Jaime + Billy :)
